Bee, it might not be an NHS thing, it's just something I've heard anecdotally from a couple of friends out there... But thinking about it, they were probably both at the same hospital so it could just be that one! There are quite a few areas of London where they won't tell you too so it makes more sense maybe for it to be a hospital by hospital thing.

I'm back in the uk after a week in disneyland .. It amazing!!!!

My sister and I are both pregnant so we just chilled out together with her 2 year old boy and we had our own fun! (Whilst DH, brother in law and niece went on all the rides!)

Anyway.. Down to Devon today to visit family and back home in London on Tuesday!

It's my birthday today too so happy bday to me haha!

Happy birthday, Gilly! Glad you enjoyed Disney, hope Devon is great, too. You didn't miss much, other than talk of changing bags and prams and worries and anxiety.

How close are people to their 12-wk scans now? I feel like I'm one of the earlier ones, at 15 Nov (11+3), but I suppose some of the earlier junebugs might be in before me. It's into the 2 week wait again, and sadly I can't 'test early' this time!! Aargh.

My 12 week scan will be more like 14 weeks! It's 9th December, but that's my birthday so that'll be nice, I'll probably be gifted a new due date =P

We're having bro and sis in law over for lunch to tell them, bit worried because he's the older brother and I think wants to do everything 'first' but can't be worried about that too much I guess, enough worries already!

Jeeee I'm still in bed feeling like the laziest bum in the world. I'm much less sick when I'm lying down hence the lie in, but i feel I should make some effort to roll out of bed and maybe go for a walk? I crave pomelos or melons so could go and get some but don't fancy getting sick on the way... First world problems! :)

I'm having quite bad stomach pains, on and off, today. But I feel like I could destroy chicken chow mein and curry sauce now that super has mentioned Chinese food! (I know its not proper Chinese food but my local takeaway isnt exactly authentic.)

I have got my second midwife appt on 12th November and then the scan will be booked for the week after.

My scan is on 20th nov.... 17 days to go!!! CANT WAIT. Excited but obviously anxious too... Just want to know things are ok so I can actually start feeling happy and excited! And so we can tell people!!!

Know how you feel gilly am so anxious something is going to be wrong. Wish you could get a daily scan!!

I've got a private scan on Wednesday, I should be 7 weeks exactly. The time can't go any slower. My booking in appointment is 2 weeks today, apparently I'll get my 'proper' scan date then. Arrrggh!

I didn't even try to resist my desire for Chinese by the way. I've just obliterated a chicken chow mein. It was gooood.

Anyone else got..erm...extra wind!?

Am very jealous about all the food stories - I feel so sick - just struggling to get anything down. DD is down with a bug though so it could be that too.

About pelvic exercises (upthread somewhere)....DO THEM! With DD I completely lost bladder control (tmi) for months after the birth (I feel like a share holder with tena lady!) so important!

Ooh so jealous of the chinese food stories - since being pregnant it goes through me (tmi sorry!).

Today the craving was a nice sandwich(!) My DH had done the shopping and suggested beef or ham but my craving was turkey so bless him, he went back out and bought turkey and crusty rolls - yum!

My booking in appt is on Wed and I presume I'll book my scan then so I'm guessing it won't be til December. My 12 week date is actually end of Nov so I guess start of Dec won't be too bad - except for my patience!

My scan is on the 22nd November as well!

And we're getting a Chinese for dinner, I'm thinking of packing up the blow-up bed and a few blankets and sleeping at the new house, only the plumber is coming for running water tomorrow morning so I don't relish a night without a flushing loo and no running water to brush my teeth with.

I'll just have to be patient for another few days until water and heating are sorted!

Not thought of having a chinese. Sweet and Sour Pork and Egg Fried Rice would go down a treat.
