Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Emmazers · 02/11/2013 13:13

Thanks Vix. The doctor examined me and my cervix is closed so that's good but they can't scan me until Monday. It's going to be a long weekend!

MTMD That sounds awful! I hope your migraine is better already.

superlambanana · 02/11/2013 13:30

This is me today ---> Envy and Angry

Magpie78 · 02/11/2013 14:05

Hope it goes ok bludger will be thinking of you.
On the gender note I have been reading the old wives tales about savoury for a boy and sweet for a girl. Thought it would be interesting to find out what everyone is eating and then what we end up having!
Mine is savoury every time at the moment!

Lmf679 · 02/11/2013 14:13

magpie totally savoury, I usually love haribo and sweets but not been near them since pregnant, love salt and vinegar squares at the min!

MyNameIsWinkly · 02/11/2013 14:17

Savoury here too, there was a packet of fancy biscuits in work yesterday that normally I'd be all over - I just wasn't interested. I didn't even think that was possible. Now if it had been a packet of tortilla chips or mini cheddars...

jaykay987 · 02/11/2013 14:30

Im into savoury at the moment. Very unusual for me!

Magpie78 · 02/11/2013 14:51

Salt and vinegar squares are high on my list too!! Along with Skips lol

MTMD · 02/11/2013 14:59

Thank you ladies, I'm actually feeling better now, phew! I really hope this pregnancy might bring a little rest break from migraines, although my consultant said 1st trimester is likely to be 'horendous' Shock

I'm not actually sick today but cannot force anything down so feeling very weak and dizzy. I have a terrible craving for sweet crepes but no energy to actually make some. Might try to mix some batter a little bit later whilst sitting down :)

I was off sweets originally but now can't stomach anything salty or spicy or vinegary - only sweets and carbs!!!

CleverOl10 · 02/11/2013 15:05

I thought I was craving savoury then today definitely more sweet so confused! All this baby wants is anything unhealthy! Grin

Snowlet · 02/11/2013 15:20

I've had both so what does that mean! First month was savoury now I'm onto sweet....

Emmazers if it helps at all, I had bleeding which started and stopped for a day and a night, basically, and it's stopped now, and my scan was healthy. Fx for you but I would imagine what you're experiencing isn't anything to worry about. Did you say you felt a gush when you laughed? I had a VERY full bladder because of the scan and then was walking, and I think possibly that together sort of 'ruptured' the blood blister that had happened during implantation (I had no implantation bleed at the time) and I felt a gush.

Hope everyone's okay today, aside from the normal blah and sickness. I'm on a shoot and really just want to be in bed!

BEEwitched · 02/11/2013 15:28

I don't really like cake anymore and am not as keen on chocolate, but love chocolate milk & chocolate mousse and Haribo.

I'm mainly eating roast beef sandwiches!

Emma My spotting last week lasted two days and then stopped again, my scan was fine. I am surprised they didn't check to make sure my cervix was closed, though, I still think that should've been done.

wispaxmas · 02/11/2013 15:34

I'm still on chocolate milk. Haven't seen any in the shops in France, so I've bought nesquik! I've limited it to a glass a day, though (if that), and I assume I'm craving it because I need calcium. I was also craved bacon today, so I had a bacon egg sarnie for lunch, but I trimmed off all the fatty bits and gave it to the dog. Trying my best to be good, but I still cave. For example, I had an apple as a snack, but then caved and had a cookie, too!

mtmd, I'm glad it eased off quicker than you'd expected!

Emmazers · 02/11/2013 15:50

Snowlet It was a gush when I laughed and your story gave me hope that it was the same thing, as I didn't have any implantation bleeding either. Was your blood bright or dark though? I was concerned at how fresh mine seemed. Also did you say that it may have contributed to the nausea? Mine is still there but slightly improved since.

Bee I'm surprised they didn't check your cervix too. Mind you it's never the most thrilling experience, so maybe you had a lucky escape!

I'm on the Lucozade (weird as I never drink fizzy drinks) and cashew butter toast at the moment with fresh fruit also an easy win.

Snowlet · 02/11/2013 15:56

Emma it was definitely bright, and when I tapered off it looked dark/old like the end of AF.... believe me if I'd not been literally having a scan in ten minutes I'd have majorly freaked out. It was very scary but the more googling I did, the more I realised it happened to a lot of women who went on to have normal pregnancies and births. (of course, some didn't, but we all know about that too)

Emmazers · 02/11/2013 16:13

Thanks Snowlet, that's reassuring. Of course I'm not counting chickens yet but it's good to hear positive stories to counteract the doom in my head!

RaRa1988 · 02/11/2013 16:28

Sorry for tmi, but has anyone had a random loss from fluid from somewhere? Definitely wasn't urine (!). Just leaked out of me when I was sitting in bed this morning - enough for me to feel it run out and down the top of my legs onto the bed - was really worried it was blood, but there was just a small pool of clear, slightly sweet-smelling fluid with some thicker discharge on top Confused.

typhoonsmum · 02/11/2013 16:29

Hi everyone. Not been on for a while.. All is ok. Just wondering I had a loop excision of cervix in June following abnormal smears. Do you think this will affect being able to carry full term xx

LadyGoneGaga · 02/11/2013 16:36

Not sure Rara but pregnancy does make things much, much wetter down there. I believe the delightful name for it is Leukorrhea.
www.justmommies.com/pregnancy/first-trimester/leukorrhea-what-it-what-does-it-mean

Emmazers hope you can find some distractions until Monday. I had a bleed with DS and he's now a strapping 5 year old! Your cervix being closed is good.

I've decided that all I can think about eating tonight are chip shop chips. Healthy. I did run earlier so hopefully will offset. I have had two lunches though. Blush

carrie105 · 02/11/2013 17:13

I'm so pleased that everyone is craving unhealthy things as I am too. I started off wanting apples and crunchy salad like celery and cucumber. I still have hankerings for those, but over the last week or so I keep feeling like having a huge fry up at a greasy spoon. I've no idea why! I've not given in yet though.. So far.. My other one is a jacket potato with tonnes and tonnes of real butter! That one I have given in to, more than once!

seatfor5 · 02/11/2013 18:24

MTMD So sorry to hear another headache they are crap :(

I have a craving for tinned peaches very random lol! Blush oh but they are sweet so lets hope thats right a girl would be lovely after 3 boys!

i know its a tad early but I saw this offer and though bargain :)

There are three colours in the lily range all are reduced to £125 with the code lily125

CleverOl10 · 02/11/2013 18:36

Hope everyone is feeling better and settling in for a quiet Saturday night! I know I am after a day alone with DS. 3 year olds and nausea and fatigue do not mix! DH has been firmly told no more whole day football watching for the next few weeks!

Today is exactly one month since I found out that I am pregnant. Am really impressed that DH and I have managed to keep it a secret so long! We're determined to tell our families first face to face. We see his in two weeks and mine in three. Can't come quick enough so we can tell everyone else! Smile

MTMD · 02/11/2013 18:43

Ohhh I'm so frustrated with my body! Had a huge craving for crepes. Made some, had d

MTMD · 02/11/2013 18:45

Sorry, phone again!

... Made some, had some, felt super sick.

Developed a craving for pasta with creamy mustard and sausage sauce.. got DH to make done, started feeling sick after 3 bites..

I just can't eat anything at the m

MTMD · 02/11/2013 18:47

Aaahhh CRAZY PHONE!! Sorry

Anyway, can't eat anything at the moment :( Still a month till end of 1st trimester. I feel I might starve myself... How are you coping, dear friends in misery? :)

CleverOl10 · 02/11/2013 18:53

Totally sympathise MTMD. I keep telling DH what o fancy for tea but by the time we're sat in front of ot I just don't want it or can't face it. Sad

Hoping this will pass soon for us all. As you say, one more month of this trimester and fx the second is kinder.
