nosey and marlena fantastic news!

super that is confusing.

I am so glad it is friday! And a note to myself: I will never eat chilli con carne again

superlambanana · 01/11/2013 19:02

Oh my GOODNESS. These cramps hurt like HELL!! Is this normal?!

AuntPittypat · 01/11/2013 19:11

Lovely news about all the early scans! Especially yours, Sarah, after that stress!

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and still have no booking in appointment. I saw a friend today though who said my hospital has recently been doing booking in and dating scans at the same time as they've been too busy to do separate appointments. I think I'll give it another week and then phone the hospital again.

Lady, I'm so impressed with your marathon time! I ran a few before DD came along and never managed to break 4hr30. I was training for another one and was sure I was going to beat that time when I found out I was pregnant with DD and after that running just felt weird, completely psychological but I was convinced I could feel something jiggling in my tummy!

Magpie78 · 01/11/2013 19:11

Hi super mine have been awful at times, are you taking pregnancy vitas with iron as for me I can't tolerate iron like that and they give me awful cramps.
So pleased for all the good news people have gad today, was lovely to read and took my mind off feeling sick.

LadyGoneGaga · 01/11/2013 19:23

Well, I haven't run that time yet, AuntPittypat. PB is 3.46 but ran 1.36 in a recent half (the day I conceived!) so 3.30 should have been doable. But I can put that goal on one side for now. I've been reading lots of blogs of pregnant runners as with the other two I was too nervous to keep running. BUT last time I gained loads of weight (5 stone!) and ended up with Gestational Diabetes so want to try and minimise the risk of getting it again and exercise will help. But will see how long I keep it up for.

I feel nauseous unless I am actually eating. Then I return to feeling nauseous again. This does not bode well for keeping weight gain to sensible levels. Been nibbling cream crackers and apples all day. And cake.

seatfor5 · 01/11/2013 20:08

Super you also need your bloods done which is usually done at your booking in appointment - They use these and the scan data to work out your odds for Down syndrome and other abnormalities these need to be done at about 10 weeks then the scan 2 weeks later at 12.

Vicky did your scan also date you early?? Mine but me from the docs 5th June to 18th June (Which I agree with) and because of that I have had my booking in and scan moved because if you have them too early then the combined test won't be accurate maybe worth ringing and speaking to your MW as the baby will not be where they need it to be x

With all this talk about slings and prams anyone looked at bags! I am in love with the sugarjack Ava yumyum

Vickyvix · 01/11/2013 20:44

Hi Seat yes I'm about 9 or 10 days different from GP. I knew I would be as I have a long cycle so have been counting a week behind GP dates anyway. will chat to midwife at booking appointment and push back the scan if she advises me to. Booking in is only a couple of weeks away so I'm counting down to that now :)

WifeofGru · 01/11/2013 21:13

Hello all,
Regarding flying, should be fine but definitely be aware of the symptoms of DVT as the risk in pregnancy is actually higher in the 1st and 2nd trimesters rather than the 3rd trimester.
Have 'meet and greet appointment' at obstetric clinic on 19th November when I should be 9+ weeks. Scan hopefully a week or two later and then nuchal testing is outsourced to another location. Will have to take 2 year old to the 'meet and greet' which should be interesting. But, I reckon I'm paying plenty for the appointment so they'll have to tolerate her in the background...lol.
Looking forward to being back in the UK system for 20 week scan and late booking appointment in January. At least I know how the system works in UK, and from my previous two DC, it actually works pretty well. Has been difficult to even find somewhere here willing to do initial scans etc. when the baby won't be being delivered here.

HannahC1989 · 01/11/2013 21:32

Had my early scan :-) ....
ONE flickering little heartbeat..... twins run in the family so was slightly nervous....
Fab to see even if its only tiny

MarlenaGru · 01/11/2013 21:38

Great news Hannah Super day for it.
Went ice skating with DD after my scan. Felt surprisingly good after. Even managed a half bowl of pasta! I seriously think sugar makes me feel most sick. Boooo!

WifeofGru · 01/11/2013 22:01

Yes chocolate just doesn't do it got me at all these days. Hankering after a big juicy steak!!

Vickyvix · 01/11/2013 22:16

Great news hannah :)

seatfor5 · 01/11/2013 22:23

Good for you Hannah :)

Vicky the same her I have a 35 day cycle and Ov'ed 10 days before AF was due! FF put me due on the 17th June so was ok with the scan showing 18th :)

superlambanana · 01/11/2013 22:30

Ugh I feel so sick Hmm Kind of wish I could actually be sick because then I might feel better. (Or not...)

Emmazers · 01/11/2013 22:33

Mild cramps followed by single gush of red blood after laughing. I hope it's delayed implantation bleeding. I had bleeding with DD1 so no it's not necessarily game over but still a bit worrying! Hmm

Vickyvix · 01/11/2013 23:19

emmazers sounds a bit worrying but if it's just a small amount hopefully all ok and it's just one of things things that happens to some people. Hope all is ok for you

Emmazers · 02/11/2013 00:00

Thanks vix. I'll go to the walk in centre tomorrow and try to get a referral to the EPAC.

PoppySeed2014 · 02/11/2013 06:49

Can I join please? Due date is June 29th so I'm 6 weeks tomorrow! I've just read the whole thread. Up at a silly hour with my toddler and feeling very queasy!

Micasaestucasa · 02/11/2013 07:43

Welcome Poppy

super, I feel so sick too! I have wished at times I could throw up to feel better. Not sure it's the solution (I'm sure those of you who are actually throwing up will agree).
Great news Hannah about the scan and the single rather than double heartbeat. Grin

How are you feeling today Emma? I will have my fingers crossed for you.

DH is up and cleaning the bathrooms. Had a weepy chat with him last night about feeling unsupported. Must have been the pregnancy hormones taking over... but who cares? Result! Happy weekend everyone.

Emmazers · 02/11/2013 08:55

Welcome Poppy and congratulations!

Thanks Mica, I haven't had any more cramping or bleeding overnight and I've just made an appointment to see the out of hours GP at midday, so fingers crossed it's all ok.

Vickyvix · 02/11/2013 09:18

Hope your GP appointment goes well emmazers fingers crossed all ok for you.

Welcome poppy, congratulations!

Happy weekend to all :)

MTMD · 02/11/2013 09:48

Morning all.

I woke up with a full blown migraine :( Very upset because I had hoped my migraines gave way to hormonal headaches which at least responded to paracetamol. Not so...

Since I don't want to take migraine drugs, it will be bed and pain for me today. Fingers crossed only today because untreated my migraines last for dayS and result in severe vomiting Sad

BEEwitched · 02/11/2013 09:59

MTMD - hope resting helps and it doesn't last too long.

Welcome, poppy! Wow, we've got a lot of Junebabies now!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend, we're headed down to our house to check up on a few things and take some measurements, then I'll briefly pop into work to have a word with my manager, then we'll go up to my MiL.

wispaxmas · 02/11/2013 10:47

Welcome, poppy!

MTMD that's no fun, hopefully the migraine isn't too bad. My sister suffers from similar migraines, but she said they were so much better when she was pregnant, so I'm hoping it's the same for you.

Mi casa, nice result, I wish H would clean the bathroom for me. Would feel cheap and wrong for me to turn on the water works just for that, though Wink Sorry your hormones are all over the place.
