Congrats to koshka and kayzed!!!

For us girls who are still hanging on and enduring the humidity, let's at least be grateful that we don't have to be wearing (shudder) maternity pads in this heat.

You can probably tell that I'm grasping at straws here to feel better whilst playing the waiting game!!

38+1

spub · 06/07/2006 12:52

SF - ROFL.
Yes, the wearing of mat pads at the moment isn't too fabulous - nor is trying to stop ones c section "apron" over the healing wound dry and clean!! Sweaty scar site - nice.
On the plus side, it's marginally more comfy to be through the pg in this heat.....
Hope you're all doing ok

pinkdolly · 06/07/2006 13:53

KZ- Congrats hon on the arrival of your Lo- so have you decided on a name yet?

How is everyone today? Anymore babies yet?

I slept until 2 last night and was then awake for ages having braxton hicks. Keep hoping that they'll turn into the real thing.

Only 37+2 today but am sooo ready to have this baby now! Especially now the floodgates have opened and others are arriving.

My m/w will be here again in the morning to check if my blood pressure has gone down. Lets hope so. Although still having headaches and not feeling brill.

Does anyone else feel like they have been punched really hard in the stomach? I feel nausaus and winded, it's worse first thing in the morning.

Catch up with you again!

usandbump · 06/07/2006 14:26

Hello lovelies

I'm still here 40+3 now, going from praying something will start and trying not to think about it too much in case this stops something from starting (a watched pot and all that)
Had a few tears last night as worried about induction but still have 8 days until that will happen. It's so hard coz I want to prepare myself mentally and emotionally but veer from being calm to bricking it!!!
My sister visited this morning and we went out to lunch which was lovely and have a nice weekend planned with dp.

Nice to hear from you Spub, its great to hear from all of you that have come out the other side!!!

Hi Ladies and congrats to Koshka and Kayzed!!
I'll catch up properly when I get a spare minute but wanted to let you know that after 3days of prostin gel and contractions that came and went again , having my waters broken and then a syntocinon drip - Libby Hâf finally arrived on the 4th July at 20.47 weighing 8lbs 5.5ozs. We are all absolutely in love with her

pinkdolly · 06/07/2006 16:17

Aggie- Congratulations on the birth of little Libby. You'll have to fill us in the details when you are rested!

So of all you ladies with your LO's in your arms.

Good luck to everyone else trying to get those babies out!

congrats Aggie. Hope you and little one are well.

maewest · 06/07/2006 19:00

Congrats on your babe Aggie, great news

Went to my NCT meetup today - so far we have 4 babes and 4 bumps. There are two other ladies due on the same day as me, so will be interesting to see who goes first. Glad I went, but only prob is that the meetup venue is a two-bus journey accross the city, about an hour each way so a bit tiring. Still want to go to book group this evening tho, as it may be my last one for a while (fingers crossed that I'm not still sitting there fat and grumpy in the first week of August )

spub · 06/07/2006 19:05

Aggie - Congrats on Libby's safe arrival. look forward to hearing more details later!

IamBlossom · 06/07/2006 19:31

Congratulations kayzed and Aggie xxxxxxxxxx

It was ds' birthday today and we had a huge party, so now that is over I finally feel I am ready to have this baby! Mind you, a couple of weeks might be good so the baby's birthday isn't too close to ds' (seeing as dd's is 2 weeks before his!)

Good l;uck to everyone

spub · 06/07/2006 20:16

Not clever enough to do a link but have posted a birth announcement.

Off to see mw tomorrow. Have been feeling lots of pressure, hope this means things are happening.

Evening Ladies

Just to let you gouys know that Baby Oscar was born on the 4th of July at 6.28 am. Weighing a whopping 9 pounds and 8 oz!
Very quick delivery with the 1st twinge at 2.30 am - mild pains every 10 mins for 2 hrs then very sharp pains every 2 -3 mins until we arrived at hospital at 6 am fully dilated and ready to push! No pain relief and no stitches so all in all a very good delivery!

We are all well. Will post again at a later stage.

Congrats and good luck to you ladies

Dangirlxx

Congrats to Aggie, Kayzed and Dangirl on your new arrivals All lovely names and loving hearing your birth stories. They all sound so positive which is brilliant. Hope you're managing to get some rest with all thats going on.

Had my mw appt today and blood pressure was fine. Not engaged yet but as its no 2 not unusual at this stage. I think it'll be a hot curry for tea tomorrow followed by a night in with DH to see if we can get something happening here!

Take care all xx
