July Mums!- popping all over........

i'm here, waiting away -officially one day over!
been feeling really "icky" for the past few days with terrible back ache but nothing else!

hey Chels, glad it's not just me KBaby and Entropy waiting, although Kbaby does sound promising.........?

Wallace, trampoline not bad idea. DS has got a little one in the back garden might go and have a bounce....

Hope the labour is short and sweet as I seem to be progressing so far without actually BEING in labour....just don't trust any twinges at all now as being any real signs, knowing my luck I'll leave it all too late and have it in the bathroom!! God, imagine that, my DH would never recover, fact.

Keep getting really cross with people who say "I reckon tonight's the night" as that just seems to jinx it completely! Superstitous clap trap I know, but at this stage I am reading into everything!

Making the most of still being preggers by eating total lardage. Gotta be some compensations!

My sister is in labour! I'm going to have a niece today! SO exciting!

I finally had a show! still think I'll be turning up for the induction on monday though... I have another sweep (joy) tomorrow which may help things along. Also my mum (who has been staying with me for a while) is going back home for a few days so not only will she be over 200 miles away (and I want her around for the birth) but we may actually get some privacy and try sex although DH and I seem like two very incompatable pieces of a puzzle at the moment.

This is probably common sense to you all but a word of warning. don't try to run for a bus at 41 weeks preggers! I really couldn't walk at all afterwards and it was only a short sprint!

Just a quickie to let you know that I had a baby boy on 2/8/06 at 00.23 weighing in at 8lb 11ozs.

Labour not too bad and managed on gas and air with only grazes.

Baby is unnamed as yet.

BF going ok but painful and the little terror likes to be awake all night crying, feeding, pooing and then sleeps from 4am to 9am.

My show happened before the bus running incident. All that seems to have done is torn a ligement in my pelvis and made baby's head push my cervix too far back for another sweep. so bed rest til Monday's induction as I'm still in agony trying to walk about. I'm going to go mad though, its only been 15 minutes since I got back from the hospital and I already have cabin fever! DH is staying off work to look after me which should be nice if doesn't spend all the time on his online game

hey guys. Kayzed popped ages ago Entropy, hard to keep up isn't it! Sorry to hear you are in such pain, that's rotten, make sure you do take it easy.

Congratulations KBaby! Thought something must be happening when you weren't on yesterday. Great news on your little boy, well done on just gas and air!

Do you know I really think I might be last, how very depressing. My induction is booked for Tuesday, and no sign of anything happening so I think it will be then. The midwife has offered another sweep on Monday but the two I have had have done bugger all so don't think I'll bother taking her up on it to be honest, might as well save the discomfort till the following day.

My poor sister is having a rotten time of it - everything stopped, then started again last night, so she was up all night with contractions and very bad back ache - then went in to the hospital at 5am this morning only to be told she was 2cms dilated (I'm 4 sitting here typing this with no twinges whatsoever!!) and got sent packing. She is now at home, the baby is back to back and she is having agonising contractions in her back every 7 minutes, so I don't think she will be long now, but it's a slow long process for her, and she sounds like shit. Going to pop over later to offer a back rub if she is still at home by then.

So I face a weekend of waddling around feeling like the baby is going to pop out of me at any moment. At least the back ache has gone and I have got an end in sight. Can I still be a July mum if my babe is August? Feel very left out I must say........

hi guys
went to hospital this morning for another well-being scan only for them to tell me they'd lost my notes so would have to wait a bit. fair enough, then some trainee came in and said "shall we take you up for your induction now?" i was like WAH ! my induction isn't until wednesday !!! seems there was a mistake in reception and my notes had been sent up to delivery ! haha !

am getting rather sick of my bh, they are starting to feel so real and v.v painful and regular, then ..... NOTHING !!

have also decided to set my watch by the people ringing every day "just to check" it's so sad having to say - no news, over and over again ! might just turn my phone off and hide under the duvet for the next week !

Right so it's inductions for all three of us, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday unless we pop before.

Just back from my sisters' where I spent an hour pouring warm water over her back while she contracted in the bath. Brought it all flooding back to me I must say, how painful it is etc, I don't think she will be long now....

Hi to July mums who are still waiting, all best wishes to you. Congrats on your birth algach, have read your story and just posted my own, it's a bit long, sorry. Think I'm going to take a break from mumsnet for a while to really concentrate on being a mum for a bit (particularly dealing with my milk spurting melon breasts). Might lurk for a bit. Hi Chels, I', still here. Been all over the place today, killing time, including going to visit my new niece in hospital! Lily Rose, born early this morning to my sister by C Section in the end after three days of on/off labour, and was back to back so no chance of delivery normally. Bit of a trial by all accounts but out now and breastfeeding really well, and my sister and her DP are so happy!

Just got to get mine out now.

I really am starting to beleive this baby is never going to come out, induction or no induction. Even the phone has stopped ringing.

i know what you mean bloss - i've given up thinking my niggles are worth bothering about. my tummy has gone rock hard and i'm so uncomfortable and irritable. dh is contemplating divorce i swear !! ha!

yeah my DH is being great but he keeps saying no more kids and I know he means it. I don't trust any of my niggles either any more. I was getting really regular mild tightenings all night last night but they turned into nothing. Again. Still no show either, after two sweeps. The midwife has said to ring her if no joy by Monday and she will come and give me a third but I'm in two minds as to bother or not, seems like a waste of petrol for her and more uncessary discomfort for me.

Oh well, two days to get through then induction.

Wonder how Entropy is feeling about hers on Monday - or are you busy popping right now Ent?

Just popped back in to say hello to bloss and chelsea, sorry you're still waiting. Dom had fairly good night but has been grizzling for last hr, so is now sleeping in a sling as I type. Take care and won't be long now (and that's a promise ) hugs to all.
