nope, nada, zippo, zilch, nuffink here either. An August baby it will have to be.

My sister and I have just had an afternoon with a DVD, sweets, crisps and our feet up, mutually commiserating, as it is her due date today and nothing for her either.

Pineapple for tea then.

Got midwife tomorrow morning for another sweep, deep joy.

I hope you and your sister go into labour at the same time - that would be so cool!

entropy · 31/07/2006 18:07

hello everyone

still waiting here... glad to see I'm not the only one getting stroppy about all the "still waiting" comments. I really don't want to be induced but reluctantly made an appointment today to go in a week today as will be 42 weeks at that point. both my midwife and cousultant have gone on holiday for 2 weeks! August is not a good time to have a baby aparently. I only stayed with my assigned hospital as I was very impressed with my cousultant (its old, gloomy grotty and some of the midwifes are dragons) so I feel a bit conned now and may just turn up at the shiny new hospital with on suite rooms and clean birthing pools if I go into labour naturally.

I finally got a sweep today (cervix 1cm open at best) and all I have to say about that is ouch! I have got a little worried about what is to come pain wise after that

hope everyone still waiting are feeling OK and enjoying that cooler weather

Entropy

I made it - I have a July baby Dominic arrived at 14.10 precisely today in my living room, 8 lb 8 1/2 oz, didn't even get a sniff of the G&A. Pains for about 24 hrs THE hardest thing I have EVER done, but so worth it! Will post birth story later.

Wallace · 31/07/2006 18:47

WOW well done!!!

IamBlossom · 31/07/2006 18:53

Taken me so long to post this as still all a bit shell shocked but Florence Mary arrived by emergency c section on 26th July weighing in at 9lbs 12 oz (think I was secretly quite relieved not to be pushing her out on one of the hottest days of the year!) She is gorgeous though I say so myself and thankfully other DDs think so too!
Congratulations to everyone else who has finally "popped" and good luck to those still hanging on in there. Will hopefully find time soon to go through all the posts since last week to catch up.

IamBlossom · 01/08/2006 08:14

Congrats Clara1, great news, lovely names.

HumphreysCorner · 01/08/2006 09:07

Hi Ladies

My beautiful baby girl was born at 1am exactly this morning. Ended up not having my homebirth but for good reasons. Will post a birth announcement later.

She's still nameless atm and weighed in less than her big sis at a smaller 8lbs and 12oz.

Bf going well and i'm besotted.

HumphreysCorner · 01/08/2006 13:04

Well done and congratulations agalch-looking forward to hearing what you call her.

kbaby · 01/08/2006 13:54

well done algach. look forward to hearing all about it.

IamBlossom · 01/08/2006 14:34

hooray hooray Algach, your waiting is over congratulations that is great news.

Just me, KBaby and Entropy to go?

Had another sweep this morning. Apparently I am 4 cms dilated, 4/5s engaged, cervix is short and thin, in fact there is no reason for me to still be pregnant, oh yes apart from the fact that I am.

Hope this sweep works, was sent home to have a curry/pineapple/shagathon.....

How about a trampoline, bloss?

kbaby · 01/08/2006 15:10

Ive been shopping and getting period type pains all the way around asda but more constant rather than coming and going. Since being home im getting v strong bh every 10-15 mins but im not sure if theyre just bh's or will develop any further so im just wandering about the house trying to decide if I wait or let DH know just in case.

iamblosom - Your already almost half way dilated so fingers crossed your labour will be a breeze.
