And good luck for tomorrow Wispa

WifeofGru · 25/10/2013 03:36

mrsb 30 and 27 days respectively. Hope this helps!
struggling with tiredness here, especially as DH away overseas and have the 2 DC to care for with school starting at 8.15am for elder DC. Walking in the fresh air to school does seem to help a little with tiredness and nausea.

ohcluttergotme · 25/10/2013 06:40

PJen, hope everything ok, found the link you posted really helpful.
Wispa good luck with your busy and exciting day today.
Waves to all other JuneBug mummies and hopes everyone has a good day Smile

jaykay987 · 25/10/2013 07:02

wispa - good luck with your scan! Lexus knw how you get on!

pjen - I was worried we hadn't heard from you. That's good news about the bleeding. FX your scan goes well.

superlam - I am super super thirsty. Also have s tension headache I cant get to leave. I presume these are baby related?

mrsb - try not to worry about your dates. I know I have longer cycles (typically 30-35 days) but my gp wasn't interested. That was a bonus for me, as it means they've put me on the computer slightly further gone than I actually am.

marlena - that's exciting. I also booked a reassurance scan - two weeks today! Can't wait!

I don't envy any of you with children. You must all be superwoman to get through the day! I can't cope with work alone at the moment. Nausea has started..but Im expecting it'll get worse before it gets better. DH dismissed me yesterday - as apparently "it's a too early for ms" sorry I clearly forgot he was a qualified doctor in his spare time He is surprising me though, as he's already quite protective that Im pregnant so has ordered me onto "light" duties - not that I do any crazy lifting anyway because of my back.

I've been having really weird dreams. I dreamed I came to visit someone's house who lived next to one of you, who then turned out to be my aunt (who I don't like) being a catfish!!!! She wasn't pregnant! just pretending yo be! Random!
In another my step mum guessed I was pregnant because she was too! Freaky!

In other news......my CB test today jumped to 2-3 weeks. So Im taking that as a good sign! Im 5 weeks today....so I'll leave my last test until middle of next week and hope I get my 3+!!

Bumblebeesmum · 25/10/2013 07:23

Hello everyone, I'm new in here. Due 6th of June by my calculations. I'm 8 weeks today and still waiting to hear from the hospital for booking in appointment. Should I be worried? I'm getting very frustrated.

On a more positive note, so nice to see so many June babies on the way!

MarlenaGru · 25/10/2013 08:40

Impressive name checking memory jaykay Grin
6 weeks today and still only mild nausea. By this stage last time I was pretty awful. Ever hopeful!

Welcome mica Could be your area? They all seem different. I got my letter earlier this week with my booking in date for when I am 8 weeks and my scan for 12 weeks arrived yesterday.

Liquidambar · 25/10/2013 08:46

Good morning ladies. Last night I went out for dinner with my very good friends. We all met at the antenatal class and our Dc were all born in the same month. They all guessed I was pregnant the moment I said I didn't want wine. I had a nice meal but couldn't digest my food. Feeling a very sick today.

wispax good luck for the scan. Let us know how it goes (asapWink )

Pjen glad the bleeding stopped. thinking of you.

I also sympathise with everyone with DC. I'm finding it much harder than the first time. DS is a lovely lively boy but I'm a bit paranoid about him jumping around me, kicks and elbows in my tummy.

MTMD · 25/10/2013 08:49

Morning all!

I came home at 5 yesterday, fell asleep at 5.30, woke up at 7.30, had some dinner (in bed), went back to sleep, woke up at 6 am - time to get up for work :) Definately sleeping for two if not more :)

Meanwhile the house is a mess! DH said this morning - I've just realised how much you do around the house. Well, we're on equal duties in theory but of course it's not entirely the case, quite glad to let things go at the moment. Although DH is being really lovely and attentive. My respect to all mums to toddlers!!!

VickyVix · 25/10/2013 09:43

Morning all

PJen so pleased to hear the bleeding stopped, best of luck for our appointment on Monday.

I've just had my first GP appointment, it was nice to tell another human being that I am pregnant and apart from her first question of 'are you pleased' and 'is the pregnancy wanted' all was fine. I guess they have to ask that.

She seemed interested which was lovely, she did blood pressure, stethoscope and urine test. I picked my hospital (seems a bit early!) and despite me telling her I have a longish cycle she insisted on basing my dates on her standard measure do I'm down as being a bit further on than I think I am which is fine by me, so 7+1 :)

She said I would get a letter with booking in/scan dates within 10 days and recommended the flu jab between 10 and 12 weeks.

Has made it all seem much more real, I have a little spring in my step today.

Let us know how your scan goes wispa

Micasaestucasa · 25/10/2013 09:54

I have a toddler too. Really struggling with everything this pregnancy. I hardly felt sick at all last pregnancy. This one is horrendous. Haven't actually been sick but feel nauseous 75% of the time and have 0 energy. DH suggested a trip to the gym to make me feel better?! WTAF?!

wispaxmas · 25/10/2013 10:49

Oh, pjen, I'm so glad the bleeding stopped. I have absolutely everything crossed for Monday. Those buns better still be in the oven. I can't imagine how you must have been feeling, but you've got virtual hugs from all of us in here.

Hi all. Sorry I've not checked in for a while. so nice to see lots more of us joining this thread, there are masses of us now!

I've been in hospital for a short spell as my hyperemesis really took hold again and I needed lots of rehydration. The good news is that they are giving me an early scan today to check that the reason fir my sickness isnt twins (not expect in it be as bith ds1 and ds2 were singletons) So hurrah! 8+2 today I think!

ohcluttergotme · 25/10/2013 10:51

I have just discovered something that is really helping with my constant feelings of being sick...polo mints!
They have meant I've been able I clean the bathroom and Hoover whilst the constant sicky.
Feeling better and nice tidy house, just in time to pick little boy up from nursery.
I've had a complete craving for pancakes so going to make pancakes with lemon juice for lunch Smile

ohcluttergotme · 25/10/2013 10:53

*without constant sicky feeling!

MTMD · 25/10/2013 10:57

clutter I'm also craving pancakes! Even dreamt about eating them last night :)

Sick, poor you! It's amazing they haven't checked that already!

Snowlet · 25/10/2013 10:58

pjen so glad it's looking more hopeful, that's great news! keep us posted....

I tried to look back and see who had mentioned BPA but now I can't find it! but I wanted to leave a link to recent findings regarding BPA and m/c: www.livescience.com/40391-bpa-higher-rate-miscarriage.html

Definitely not trying to scare monger, but the more you know right? I watched a documentary a few years ago called 'Plastic Planet' that changed much of what I thought about plastic, I think you can find it for free to watch on the web.

Also, not sure if this will help anyone, but my best mate is also upduffed, and discussed with her midwife a possible link between severe MS and anaemia (low iron) - she started taking Floradix and reckons she's feeling better for it.... you can find it at H&B if anyone is interested to look into it. I've been taking iron supplements but apparently liquid is more easily absorbable so I may switch!

ohcluttergotme · 25/10/2013 11:05

Sick so sorry things have been so rough, hope your feeling better & good luck for your scan Smile

bludgerwitch · 25/10/2013 11:21

PJen I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, very pleased to hear from you and hopefully you'll have two lovely sticky beans on your scan!

Wispa Good luck today, I hope you get a nice picture :D

Oooh, clutter, I usually can't stand them but a colleague offered me one this wee and it was really nice - maybe I should have investigated that a bit more!

It was my bday yesterday but after 3 hours at the hospital which I found very stressful and hectic (certainly didn't do my bp any good!) I wasn't up to going out so we ordered curry - I went for this lush buttery sweet one that I sometimes like and it completely turned my stomach and triggered my nausea. Envy (

samovar · 25/10/2013 11:44

Pancakes! What an excellent idea! I didn't know it, but that is exactly what I crave! I've barely been able to manage anything other than cereal for breakfast, forgoing with some distress my usual two boiled eggs..

I had my first scan today! I'm 7w5, and luckily the ultrasound seemed to agree. The little bean growing as it should be apparently - although was surprised to find I'm not having more than one, as I have felt so incredibly sick. I also heard the heartbeat, which was wonderful, although not as emotional as first time round. DH couldn't come, alas, as he was at work, but actually it was all over within about five minutes after an hour-long wait..

Anyway, good luck to all those having early scans - it's very exciting! I did feel a bit foolish for turning up at just over 7 weeks - but got over that pretty quickly!

Snowlet · 25/10/2013 11:47

Erm, I have just made pancakes.... they were what I instantly craved too samovar! Perk of being a freelancer, though soon I really must go into the studio and do a mountain of editing

bludgerwitch · 25/10/2013 11:57

BTW, I've skipped a few days - on Tuesday's scan I was 8+3, yesterday I was 9w. I think everything is so tiny down there it's not all that accurate....

wispaxmas · 25/10/2013 12:36

Latest craving: chocolate milk!!

I just got back from tesco. I needed to pick up a couple things to keep me going today and tomorrow, so I got a couple fruit salads, walnuts (apparently one of the top ten foods to eat when pg), yogurt, carrots, granola bars, and mixed salad greens. My plan was to buy only the uber healthy stuff, but I NEEDED chocolate milk so I got a tiny little bottle. Got home, drank it, and the nausea I was feeling in the car has disappeared. I'm going to ignore the extra sugar in it and think only of the calcium and protein Grin
