superlambanana, I told my sister as soon as I got a bfp! No one else, though.

Hi everyone. Can I join? Got my BFP about a week ago, due 23 June - which will also be my 31st birthday!

DC number #2 so very excited to be able to give my little boy a brother (I'm convinced my DH family only does boys!).

Hope everyone is good and look forward to sharing the fun!

jaykay987 · 23/10/2013 20:53

Thats great to hear mrsgasman. FX its good news again at your scan. I opted for Frimley at the doctors today - but Id still like to get some real feedback!

I've not told anyone (ignoring DH, chiropractor, Slimming World leader and the gp!)

I've had a horrid day. Felt so so tired. Negotiated with myself a treat visit to m&p's tonight on the way home - if I actually achieved anything this afternoon at work......only when I got there they were shut! Id checked hours on the website and everything. I was really frustrated, so I cried! stupid woman I guess it didnt help that the level of traffic was making me panic and so I got a bit lost too. I then got home and the car alarm went off and I couldn't work out how to turn it off!

I ordered myself some new work trousers (my old ones are really tatty) and they're not even close to fitting! My tummy is huge! Im only 4w+4 (I think) so it can't be related to being pregnant! Even the chiropractors asked me how ar gin I was and aimed an eyebrow when I said almost 5 weeks!

Ahhh.....maybe hiding under the duvet will sort me out!

CleverOl10 · 23/10/2013 20:57

Tp those talking about putting on weight, that's been on my mind today. I'm not small to start with (size 16) and never completely lost my belly from last time but I just feel blob like today. My clothes fit but I can sense every bump and am convinced people will start to guess and I'd like to keep my secret for another month. Actually bought some maternity clothes today. Felt a bit daft but figure I'll need to start wearing baggy work clothes soon so best start.

bludgerwitch · 23/10/2013 21:08

I'm a size 22/24 and I know I've put on weight in the last weeks. I was told I could stay on WW during my pregnancy but no chance, I've been eating pretty unhealthy stuff in-between feeling queasy. Grump.

The first 5 weeks were brilliant, I was eating healthily and not feeling too bad, now the only things I really crave are buttered toast, chicken crisps and grapes, not a great combination.

LadyGoneGaga · 23/10/2013 21:09

I think this first bit is just bloating from progesterone slowing digestion down. Mine's been ok, then I had pasta with pesto for tea and instantly got heartburn and bloated up. Belly looks massive now! Hopefully will go down in the morning. I shall be avoiding pasta for a litle while.

It's not a bad plan to buy a couple of pairs of cheap trousers in a size bigger than normal. Maternity trousers won't fit just yet and you will be comfier. Then you have something to wear after the birth when you will be DESPERATE to get out of sodding maternity clothes, but still too big for your normal size.

MarlenaGru · 23/10/2013 21:16

Definitely bloating. I look very pregnant and my tights are bloody killing me!

I have told my mum and dad, sister and 3 friends I know will be more than helpful if anything happens. I think don't tell anyone you wouldn't feel comfortable talking to if you had a miscarriage is a pretty good rule.

MarlenaGru · 23/10/2013 21:23

I must admit maternity clothes fitted me for about three weeks last time. Initially miles too big and then suddenly miles too tight around my bump. I got one lovely pair of trousers a friend gave from newlook and they were the only ones that worked all through the last 5 months. I have got a lot of dresses which are stretchy and I need to invest in 10 pairs of over bump tights, but they are so expensive!

bellygazing · 23/10/2013 21:35

Hi all, some exciting news to read 're scans/ twins etc. I only did one test as I kind of knew when I took it as was about a week late which never happens. Didn't think I had any symptoms but am absolutely knackered - am literally in my third week at a new job ( terrible timing!) and I can't stop yawning - they must think I'm proper lazy. Also my DH took one look at my boobs and said they had definitely grown - last time they reached the dizzying heights of 34HH so not looking forward to that. Haven't told anyone save DH as quite anxious after MC earlier this year, but also quite worried about how and when to tell work - they won't be impressed I started the job
already two weeks pregnant, and it certainly wasn't my intention! Conveniently it means I will not be eligible for AMP by a tiny margin.

MummySparkle · 23/10/2013 21:42

Hello!

May I join? I got my BFP last week. Going by my last AF I'm due June 14th, but my cycles aren't regular so I thing it's later than that. Excited, but it still hasn't really sunk in.

My pregnancy with DS was a breeze, achey and tiring towards the end, but not major complications. This time, not so good! I've been feeling sick like nobody's business. I work in a school and the staff loos are kept locked - really worried I'm going to puke and not make it there in time!!!!

I picked up a couple of pairs of maternity smart trousers from an NCT sale last week, don't need them yet, but at a fiver for 2 good quality pairs who could say no?! I'm really looking forward to wearing my overbump jeans again - I loved them so much!

Stacks · 23/10/2013 21:47

Clutter did you go to the EPU? They're lovely there and hopefully have put your mind at rest. I got rushed in last time due to cramping, but I'm being more relaxed this time. I'm cramping on one side again, but I know from DS that it's pretty normal as long as it's not too intense and I'm not feeling ill. Really hope you got a scan and all good news.

I'm not too worried about my weight yet, I lost lots of weight breastfeeding my DS, so I'm still a few kg lighter than I was before having him. I really hope this pregnancy is like the last one! I put on weight but lost it all pretty quickly after, it was all baby/fluid etc though still more than the books said I 'should' put on.

jaykay987 · 23/10/2013 21:52

Welcome mummysparkle

Think yourself lucky bellygaze. I started at 34h.......Im already bursting out of those...not sure how much worse this will go! Grin

Magpie78 · 23/10/2013 21:59

Hi everyone, please can I join you. Have been in the Maybies but midwife shifted EDD to 3/06 yesterday and to be honest was feeling a bit left behind. Am 35 and this will be my first am completely terrified and excited simultaneously!
Look forward to catching up with you all.

Bezzabelle · 23/10/2013 22:03

I put on 3 stone with ds but like stacks, lost most of it in first few weeks of having him as lots was fluid and through bf. got back to a size 10 within 4 months although think an over active thyroid helped a lot!! With this pg, despite suffering with hg and literally throwing up hourly day and night and having a diet of beige food and jelly, I already have a 'bump' at 8 weeks. I feel like my uterus is the size of a melon!!!! I was hoping to avoid putting on 3 stone this time and was aiming for 2......

VickyVix · 23/10/2013 22:10

Welcome magpie :)

Penguin13 · 23/10/2013 22:36

So exciting to hear all the scan and appointment news and good to hear that you were reassured MrsGas Man.

For those experiencing sore boobs I can highly recommend trying a bigger bra and one which is wireless if like me you don't need massive amounts of support. Just going one size up has made mine SO much more comfortable.

ElizaB3 · 23/10/2013 23:19

This thread is great; everything I wonder about in the daytime gets answered in these posts in the evening! Today it was twinges & bloating (my tights felt tight?!) but can see others can appreciate those issues
Welcome mummysparkle Misshoohaa

ElizaB3 · 23/10/2013 23:22

& magpie - you have moved from the back of the bus to the front!

ohcluttergotme · 24/10/2013 06:20

Welcome to more BFP's for June, so many having little JuneBugs!
Stacks didn't go last night as wasn't sure it would be open late but going to drop little boy at nursery and head over, I had to have quite a few early scans with ds as had lots of early bleeding but all was fine.
I feel really different with this pregnancy and not sure why, I've never felt so sick, my last 2 pregnancies I put on 2 stone but feel it's going to be double that as can't stop eating! Shock

cheesysmile · 24/10/2013 08:18

Just waiting to go into booking in appt .... Smile

GillyBillyWilly · 24/10/2013 08:23

OOOHHH have fun cheesy! Grin
Where do you live again? Aren't you near me?! My memory is shit... Sorry!

MTMD · 24/10/2013 08:24

Good morning ladies! How are you all feeling?

I woke up so shattered that I nealy cried that I had to get up and go to work. Also, got a headache for second day in a row.. Not impressed and just want to go back to bed!!

GillyBillyWilly · 24/10/2013 08:28

Weird thing happened this morning.

Did a HPT (Internet cheap strip) and the line was really faint... I freaked out and did some googling.

Read somewhere that at around 8-10 weeks your hcg can hit a peak and is too strong for some tests to pick up?

Someone else said this is when the pancreas takes over and tests may show up lighter?

Anyway I was still freaking out... Then read a thread where someone said if you dilute your pee with water the test can actually come up with a darker line.... So I tried that and got a VERY dark test line!!!!!!

How weird!!!!

MarlenaGru · 24/10/2013 08:38

How weird gilly
I couldn't sleep past 4 this morning. Woke up feeling nauseous and so stuffy (the pregn-cold!) but feel fine now I am up. Only 12 hours until I can collapse on the sofa!
Enjoy cheesy and welcome magpie

MyNameIsWinkly · 24/10/2013 08:44

The pregnacold is great isn't it Hmm One of my colleagues yesterday asked if I was allergic to him, I was sneezing so much!

I keep waking up in the night. Yesterday I was wide awake at 3.30. Today I managed to sleep in until an incredible 4.30am. Wonderful.
