Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thanks MTMD that's exactly what I thought. I think because I told her I'm feeling sick and shivery she wanted to make me understand the importance of calling 999 if it gets worse.

Lovely DH is going to come home and take me. Only going to the gp surgery so she can't have been that worried or she would have sent me straight to A&E.

These things are sent to try us!

jaykay that's fine, pm away. Very exciting that you told your OH. I don't think it becomes at all real for them until they see that little thing wriggling on a screen. Largely because they don't have the feeling like crap 24 hours a day to remind them they're going to have a baby like we do!

MTMD · 23/10/2013 12:05

She suspect ectopic and asks you to come to gp surgery?? Come on. If you're truly worried, I'd go to a&e or local epu, not GP practice where they can check one big nothing. Good luck! I've been feeling pain in (what feels like) my ovaries all day yesterday but sides changed every half an hour or so...

RaRa1988 · 23/10/2013 12:08

Hey everyone! Feeling dire this morning - but pretty excited about it if you see what I mean? Hmm, crazy lady? Hmm - Just seeing the heartbeat yesterday really perked me up. No history of twins in either my family or DPs Confused, but they think there's definitely two yolk sacks; it's just in question whether anything developed out of the other one.

MrsGasMan: Really sorry to hear that; hope everything works out for you. I've had a ?ectopic before and it all turned out ok - hope it's the same for you Flowers

Penguin13 · 23/10/2013 12:12

MrsGasMan keeping everything crossed for you. Good luck.

MarlenaGru · 23/10/2013 12:20

Good luck mrsgasman

LadyGoneGaga · 23/10/2013 12:23

Rara I read that identicals are completely random and can happen to anyone regardless of family history. So you might get a matching pair!

Good luck, Mrsgasman. I agree you need to be referred to the EPU for a scan though.

WooWooCaChoo · 23/10/2013 12:39

Good luck mrsgasman, I second going to A+E if you think there's a chance it could be though, or at least call 101 and see what they think.
Got my fingers crossed for you.

GillyBillyWilly · 23/10/2013 12:47

I'm at my doctors waiting to see the midwife for my booking appointment Smile
And 28 days until my 12 week scan! Not that I'm counting... Wink

GillyBillyWilly · 23/10/2013 12:47

And good luck mrsgasman Thanks

GillyBillyWilly · 23/10/2013 12:49

Re: flu jabs I will be asking the midwife today.... I'm interested because my work are doing them too and wondering whether I should do it or wait for my midwife/doctor to offer it to me!

typhoonsmum · 23/10/2013 12:52

Got the date for my booking scan yesterday. 29th November.. Will be 11+6

spinningirl10 · 23/10/2013 12:56

Good luck MrsGasman.....I would go to hospital for a scan and put your mind at rest.

SarahAnderson · 23/10/2013 13:34

Jaykay mentioned that she had to nominate the hospital in the booking in appointment... So how long do we have to make our minds up about where to give birth then? I'm 5+3, only known I'm pregnant for three days and already feel like I might be behind on research and decisions!

Good luck mrs gas man x

jaykay987 · 23/10/2013 13:44

hope it's going well mrsgasman

gilly how'd your booking in go?

Sarah it wasn't even my booking in, it was my pre appointment with my gp. They are linked to two hospitals and two sets of midwives. So they make you make a decision early - so you're contacted by the "right" midwives to arrange a booking in.
Have a look on your doctors website. That's where I first knew I had two options....and then the hospital websites seem to be quite informative.
I could have delayed my decision, but that would have prevented me from making any appointments with midwives/scan etc which I didnt want to do.

MTMD · 23/10/2013 13:47

You can change hospitals up to 34 weeks for something like that. At least in London.

MTMD · 23/10/2013 13:48

I meant OR something like that :)

MyNameIsWinkly · 23/10/2013 13:51

sarah it depends a lot on your area. Mine is covered by one team of midwives, working out of one hospital. Later in the pregnancy they discuss hospital, MLU or homebirth but everything is based out of Harlow. There's only one other hospital with maternity services near me but it's horrible, so I'm not interested in going elsewhere!

Bumblebeesmum · 23/10/2013 13:52

With my 1st baby they asked me my preference, home birth consultant led in hospital or midwife led in a unit and I chose midwife but they confirmed I wanted the same choice v late on around 30 weeks and sent a form to unit.
I had dreams of a lovely waterbirth - the reality was an induction on Thursday a hard labour followed by my little one arriving Sunday with help from various utensils.
Choices are good but don't panic if you haven't given it much thought, you have plenty of time to reassess and when it comes down to it if you are off visiting family somewhere and go in to labour or have a situation like mine - little one may decide for you anyway!! :)

MyNameIsWinkly · 23/10/2013 13:54

I had my flu jab the day before I got my bfp. I had a pre-booking in 'meet and greet' with the midwife yesterday, and she was pleased I had it done already.

I'm getting my flu jab this Friday hopefully!

MrsGasMan, FX for you that it's not ectopic. Hopefully it's just GP being overly cautious.

WifeofGru · 23/10/2013 14:31

mrsgasman thinking of you. Hope all well.
Wow twins rara! with DC2 I would have happily had twins but this is DC3 and I think I would faint if they told me there are 2 in there!!
definitely not as sick as I was last two times, but then again I have more keeping me busy with school runs etc. Really worried if the sickness increases tho as with DD1 I vomited everywhere......on holiday in forbidden city Beijing, Hong Kong airport in middle of departures area, business class flight into sick bag at seat as couldn't make it to loos. It was truly hideous. But reassuring- I kept saying to myself 'sickness is a sign of good plancenta formation' throw up... 'miscarriage rates are lower with nausea and lower again in women who vomit' throw up......

MrsB2013 · 23/10/2013 14:38

MrsGasMan hope you are ok and fx it's not ectopic.

I'm also in Berkshire, so the Royal Berks is my nearest hospital. I must admit I've heard very mixed reviews about it!

MTMD · 23/10/2013 14:45

My MS either disappeared or is taking a break today :/ Just feel ravenous all day! Hope little beanie is ok..

GillyBillyWilly · 23/10/2013 15:58

Arghhhh I just posted a really long post and it's not worked!!! Angry
