Managed to change my booking in appt to the following week thankfully. Can't believe it is the only day I had a conference in next 3 months that they picked.
Lucky my clinic is at my GP again like it was last time (although different GP and area) as it is a nightmare fighting through traffic etc to get to random places they send you!

bludgerwitch · 22/10/2013 09:53

Gilly I've called in sick today, I was up since 4 o'clock with intense nausea and was supposed to work until 8 - there's no way I would've managed.

Glad to hear the spinny wheel rules all! Hmm

GillyBillyWilly · 22/10/2013 09:56

I've been up since 4.30 so similar to you Sad
Not sure what to do as I'm meant to be working from home tomorrow but my laptop is in work... So I need to go into work to get it. So if im going in to get my laptop I might as well go in and stay there!
But I don't want to I feel terrible Sad

LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2013 10:07

Lovely scan news, Bludger

I'm off sick today too. Have the runs. Bleurgh.

I did anotehr test this morning and came up straight away (before the control) and nice and dark so that's nice and reassuring. I'm trying to control my POAS addiction a little this time but have still peed on 3 already!

It's my first wedding anniversary in a few days. We were going to go away to visit friends but they can't do it now. Any lovely (and cheap) ideas to celebrate? Trying to be careful with money now we're going to have three!

MTMD · 22/10/2013 10:19

Am I the only one who only did 1 pregnancy test? :) Even as I did, I knew the answer because my AF is never late (it was 1 day late at that point) and my boobs were already one size up.

I'm feeling strange pains around my ovaries today. One side, another side, one side, another side, and my lower abs feel really tight. Hope this is normal...

Snowlet · 22/10/2013 10:24

Oh Gilly I feel your pain, I'm supposed to go shoot cakes in an hour (I'm a freelance photographer) and I don't want to move or look at food.... I've seen a few people on here that signed off for a couple weeks, maybe you should consider whether you could do that?

jaykay987 · 22/10/2013 10:32

one test mtmd? wow - that's will power!

I've tries four brands! In my defense, the first weren't too clear so I had to check!
So I did a CB digi on Sunday (dpo 16) and got 1-2 weeks. The battery died last night - so I did another one this morning so I can show DH tonight! But that also read 1-2 weeks.

Did anyone have this problem? Should I be worried about my hcg levels? or is it true this can be a bit unreliable?
I was temping....so fairly confident of my ov date and that Im 4w+4.
I'll do another next weekend - hopefully it'll have risen by then!

Snowlet · 22/10/2013 10:39

jaykay I've done a few CB digi and when I thought I should have 3+ I only had 2-3 but I also didn't use FMU so wondered if that was a factor. I waited a week or so and tested again last night and had 3+, I wouldn't worry too much. If you want to see that 2-3, 3+ etc, just make sure you wait a few days inbetween, people's HCG rise at very different rates from what I understand!

jaykay987 · 22/10/2013 10:42

thanks snowlet

I didnt test positive until dpo 15/16 despite testing everyday from dpo8! so I'm hoping Im just a slow riser but it'll catch up ok! Smile

VickyVix · 22/10/2013 11:36

Only one pee stick!! Wow that's amazing, I confess I have used 14 HPTs so far and have another three waiting at home Blush

I have to test every day to make sure it's still real! :) it's costing me a fortune (my DH would be most annoyed I'm still buying them)....... I need to get an early scan I think!

Pretty sure I'm on the verge of MS, I either feel extremely hungry or extremely queasy all day, if it's not one it's the other.

Still no painful boobs though, but they are definitely growing grin]

superlambanana · 22/10/2013 11:52

I am tentatively joining... BFP last night and this morning, 5 days late. Seeing doc this afternoon. This is my first and I am scared!! But Smile

DH doesn't want to believe it in case something goes wrong... All feels a bit surreal. Think my EDD will be 27th June (according to the nhs online calculator!).

Oh my goodness me!!

GillyBillyWilly · 22/10/2013 11:54

Maybe Snowlet... Thing is, I'm only in for the rest of this week and next mon+tues and then I have just over a week off anyway! Smile Yippeeee.

I've actually managed to get myself up, washed and dressed and I'm on the way to work! Hmmbleehh.

GillyBillyWilly · 22/10/2013 11:55

Congrats and welcome super Smile
This is my first and DH and I are also finding it a bit hard to believe and I probably won't believe it at all until I have my 12 week scan!

jaykay987 · 22/10/2013 12:05

that you made it to the train gilly

super we have the same edd! I only found out at the weekend....so this is all very new for me too Grin

VickyVix · 22/10/2013 12:22

Welcome super congrats on your BFP!

We're the same, it will (hopefully) be our first and struggling to take it all in. DH is very cautious.

noseymcposey · 22/10/2013 12:22

adaloveslace I am similar to you I think - I didn't have a lot of symptoms with DS and not having too many this time. I felt really sick and dreadful last wednesday, bit better thursday and then pretty much ok since then. Apart from tiredness - but I am ill with cough/cold anyway so can't tell what is making me feel bad.

Am weighing up the idea of an early scan, but it's such a lot of money! £100 in my area (chelmsford) and I just think that's a £100 I could put towards Christmas presents for DS. Difficult to know what to do!

Hope the MS sufferers are feeling better soon. Another girl in my office is 13 weeks and has dreadful sickness feel so sorry for her poor girl.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2013 12:27

MTMD I think the sensations you describe are your uterus growing and stretching. Mine feels the same. It's a little bit disconcerting but normal.

Jaykay, please don't worry about the Digital test. The fact you didn't test positive til day 16/16 likely means you may have implanted a bit later than usual or maybe ovv'ed slightly later (as i recall your chart was slightly ambiguous). And HCG levels vary a lot between women. Try not to worry. Although early pregnancy (and middle, and late) pregnancy is a worry-fest. As is mothergood generally come to think of it so all good practice.

Well done on making it into work, Gilly. At least you can "work" from home tomorrow.

MrsB2013 · 22/10/2013 12:44

I did a cb digi this morning and got 2-3 weeks!!! I was shocked it didn't say 1-2.

Can anyone help me out here?

I used cb advanced opks

CD 8, 9, 10 Low
CD 11,12,13 High
Cd 14, 15 Peak

DTD on CD 5,6,12,13,14 and 16

Does ovulation usually happen on the first peak day? FF says a peak was detected on CD14 so may have ovulated on CD15. But I had the faintest line on an IC on CD25, again on CD26 so did a Superdrug and got a line, CD27 a definite line on a FRER then today CD29 the CB Digi. I'm wondering if I might of ovulated on CD14 then conceived on CD15?

Sorry, hope all that makes sense?

wispaxmas · 22/10/2013 13:05

MrsB, ovulation predictor kits can't pinpoint exactly when you ovulate, only a shift in temperature can do that. Some people ovulate the same day they get a positive (peak), some people ovulate up to 72 hours later!

OP posts:
LadyGoneGaga · 22/10/2013 13:06

MrsB I think those conception indicators are just a rough guide since everyone's hormones go up at a different rate and they will base the guideline levels on a statistical distribution of women's hormone levels at diffeent stages of early pregnancy. But by the nature of it some women will have less hormones and some more than the average. Don't worry about it. Dates wise they will go off what they see at the dating scan and NOT off LMP dates or your ov dates in any case so don't be surprised if your due date moves after that.

High HCG levels are reassuring in any case, you are most likely growing a nice healthy bean in there.

Emmazers · 22/10/2013 14:17

For those spending a fortune on tests, you know you can get about 20 for £4 on eBay right? They're very sensitive but come without a plastic casing.

You can also use ovulation test as pregnancy tests because they can't distinguish between hcg and lh. I think I've done about 10 preg tests and as many opks for less than a fiver ;)

Emmazers · 22/10/2013 14:43

Jaykay I was born at Frimley Park! My mum had a terrible experience but that was 33 years ago, so probably not much help ;)

CarrotCakeMuffins · 22/10/2013 14:46

I'm with MTMD in that I've only done 1 test also.
It's not about willpower, more that once its positive, then it's positive.
Also recommend buying in bulk from the Internet for those who feel they need to retest. I've used Amazon in the past.

Penguin13 · 22/10/2013 14:46

So exciting to hear your scan news London and Bludger. It must be so amazing to hear that tiny little heartbeat. I can't wait for my midwife appointment next Mon to book in the date of my scan. I am just crossing everything that they don't make me wait till 14 weeks as I think I might explode from the anticipation in the meantime!

wispaxmas · 22/10/2013 15:52

I decided to use up all the internet cheapie tests I had!
