Me too Clever - sensitive boobs and need to pee more often but no sign of ms whatsoever (yet); reassuring having read this thread that I'm not alone in this, was feeling the odd one out!
Never considered an early scan before but sorely tempted now so also interested in where people are going in Central London...

wispaxmas · 21/10/2013 21:23

auntpat, I'm due 3 June and only got my booking appt booked late last week for 8 Nov!

mrsb, I called the hospital today to change the date of my scan to a week earlier, but my excuse if living in France for the time being probably helped me out Grin

MrsB I am in Scotland, so it might be slightly different. But when I found out I was pregnant I had to call the midwives' central team and they booked everything over the phone. I got a letter this morning confirming all the details. But over the phone it seemed flexible. In fact the lady wanted to offer me a scan on the 3rd of December but I am flying back that day.

seatfor5 · 21/10/2013 21:49

Mrsb I am in Surrey and just received a letter with the dates on x

jaykay987 · 21/10/2013 21:50

I feel like a fraud. So other than the safety concerns...I think I need a reassurance scan to check I haven't made all this up in my head Grin

FMC is highly recommended online (I don't know anyone who personally has been). It's also not for profit as the money is all fed back not the development of the centre. But their website isn't that clear. In a few weeks I might call them and see how helpful they are.

Mrsb - Im not sure if there are better, but I downloaded "what to expect pregnancy" and "baby bump". The first is full of text and has daily and weekly pages. I like it seems ERY factual mother other is more picture focused. There's lots of free ones, see what yo like (Ive already deleted others I can't remember the name of!). I'll be keeping these ones.

I also got "sprout" but think that only works for iPads. The pictures are very life like!

jaykay987 · 21/10/2013 21:50

Ooh seatfor5 - I might pm you to see what hospital!

seatfor5 · 21/10/2013 22:03

Epsom Grin this will be my 4th there!

SarahAnderson · 21/10/2013 22:05

Ooh, can I also ask for iPhone app recommendations?

jaykay987 · 21/10/2013 22:07

See if sprout lite works. It's cute/scary!

Im still amazed you've done this 5 times already seat! Grin

SarahAnderson · 21/10/2013 22:46

Just tried Sprout. My husband practically fled across the room when I showed him the 3D, shouting "Alien!" Some getting used to things around here...

jaykay987 · 21/10/2013 22:55

I did describe as cute/scary GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

adaloveslace · 22/10/2013 04:31

London - fantastic to hear you had a scan and everything is good. You must be so happy. My symptoms have diminished a bit in the last few days, so I'm slightly worried. I had a couple of days of nausea last week, but nothing since Friday and my boobs are slightly tender, but not very sore. Still going to the loo a lot and very hungry but that's about it. Trying not to worry as I didn't have many symptoms on my other two pregnancies either, but I can't wait for my scan now. I'd so love to hear everything is progressing okay. It's not for another 9 days though.

LondonSuperTrooper · 22/10/2013 05:05

Clever good to know that we are in the same boat. I'm also wondering if I'm carrying a girl as I feel so different than when having my DS. I didn't see the heartbeat yesterday, I would've thought that it's all in my head!

Seat I'm also from Surrey! I had my DS at Epsom but am sorely tempted to try the Royal Surrey as I've heard such good reviews about it, I'm equidistant between the two.

Thanks Ada I definitely needed the scan for reassurance. Good luck with your scan. The 9 days will drag so try and keep busy otherwise you'll go crazy.

I hope that those that are feeling rough with MS begin to feel better soon.....

LondonSuperTrooper · 22/10/2013 05:07

Clever, I meant to say that if I didn't see the heartbeat then I would've thought that this whole pregnancy thing was in my head!!

ohcluttergotme · 22/10/2013 06:26

The booking in system seems to work differently wherever you are.
I'm in Scotland and phoned the midwifery team as soon as I got my BFP and she booked me in over the phone then sent out letters confirming dates. I'm 4th November for booking in with midwife at 8 weeks and 5th December for ultrasound scan at 12 weeks.
I feel more sick and tired than I did with either my ds or dd so not sure if it's cause I'm older! Shock

adaloveslace · 22/10/2013 06:52

London - I had so few symptoms with my DD that I didn't realise I was pregnant til I was 8+4. With DS, I knew immediately and I was a lot more symptommy. This time, I'm somewhere between the two. So you may be onto something...

Liquidambar · 22/10/2013 07:57

ohclutter we have the scan on the same 12. just wondering if it would be the same place Wink Are you east or west cost?

CleverOl10 · 22/10/2013 08:21

Am I the only one without a scan date? I presume my midwife will sort it at booking appt but that's not for two weeks. Jealous of those with scan dates to count down to.

MyNameIsWinkly · 22/10/2013 08:25

I don't have a scan date, but then I'm only 4+6 and my booking in appointment isn't until 1st December.

MTMD · 22/10/2013 08:47

I haven't got neither a booking appointment, nor a scan date. Not too worried though, info sheet says midwife appointment 8-13 wks, scan 11-13 weeks. So plenty of time as I'm still just 6+1.

Another day on crackers and cheese here :)

bludgerwitch · 22/10/2013 09:16

Is anyone else having their booking appointment this week? I know there are a few of us! How many weeks along will you be?

I just had my 2nd scan, 8 weeks and a little heartbeat Smile - I am so relieved, my DH was all teary (well, so I am!). She did say that my booking appointment this week is a bit early, they normally like to do it later, but that it's too late to change it now as it would take weeks to get another appointment.

This is just because my GP didn't listen when I told him that I definitely ovulated later than when he'd thought I did, and just looked at this stupid little wheel. Grump.

ThreeFromDesire · 22/10/2013 09:31

I've developed asthma!!! Feeling a touch sorry for myself [thihmm]
Sorry to read of all the losses xx

GillyBillyWilly · 22/10/2013 09:32

lol bludger Grin

My booking appt is tomorrow at 1pm. I will only be 7+2 but I'm in the same boat... My doctor looked at her spinny wheel and paid no attention to me saying I have 35 day cycles and ovulated on cd20! Grin

My scan is booked in for 20th nov and I'll only be 11+2 then but I'm happy about that... The sooner the better!

I keep getting drawn back in to the idea of having an early scan but I think I might as well wait til 20th nov... 4 weeks to go!

Glad your 2nd scan went so well Smile

GillyBillyWilly · 22/10/2013 09:35

In other news I'm having another terrible morning Sad
Not out of bed yet and meant to start work at 11... That's not happening!!! Confused

jaykay987 · 22/10/2013 09:42

ahh no gilly thank doesn't sound good.

So happy to hear about people's scans and heartbeats - does it feel more real after you've heard it?

I'm between Frimley Park and Royal Surrey. I was erring on the side of Frimley (apparently award winning) - but not sure. I don't know anyone who's used either.
I have to decide before they'll let me book an appointment with a midwife so in the next week or so! eek!
