Hey all, haven't managed to make it on here for a couple of days due to hideous shifts. Congratulations to the new BFP Grin.

Jaykay: VERY pleased and excited for you, especially after all that will-she-won't-she! Had my fingers crossed for you.

I've got an early scan at EPAC tomorrow - I went to A&E yesterday re some quite nasty pains and they booked me in for a scan tomorrow. I was really nervous because my BBT was down yesterday and the day before, and my boobs weren't sore so I was worried I was losing pg symptoms, but I'm feeling 'better' today as morning sickness hit me like a bus and my boobs are very sore again - and my temp is back up! Still got the scan though, and another on Thurs - previously booked with a different organisation. Figured I might as well still go.

CleverOl10 · 21/10/2013 16:26

Sometimes reading this thread makes me nervous as I'm having so few symptoms. Nothing obvious aside from needing to pee more. I'm always tired so hard to tell if it's worse! Have to just keep reminding myself how horrible my ms was last time so to be pleased I haven't got it back yet, especially as I'm on holiday at the moment. Just a little strange having not even had booking appt yet.

jaykay987 · 21/10/2013 16:40

thanks rara appreciate it! Smile

Sarah that is exciting! I found out Saturday...but won't be seeing DH until late tomorrow night! so I haven't told anyone outside mn! I am fir to burst!

wispa that is so close to me (won't post on mn) it's spooky! I was hoping to find a reassurance scan in Central London. Has anyone heard any RL experience of FMC?
hmm..maybe. but there's only 5 of us going me, DH, MIL, FIL and birthday girl SIL. So it'd feel wrong to exclude her! Smile I'll think of something!

wispaxmas · 21/10/2013 16:53

jaykay, my only other suggestion would be to politely decline alcohol without giving a reason. If anyone asks, you can ask why you need a reason and move on to other topics of conversation. If you'll be around 12 weeks, you probably wont mind if they start guessing/wondering, and it wont be you stealing the spotlight Grin

Jaykay it must be so hard when you speak to your dh not to let it slip!!! So much nicer to do it in person though....bet you can't wait!

LondonSuperTrooper · 21/10/2013 17:02

Wispa I had an early scan today at 7+1. I saw the baby's heart beat!
It was absolutely amazing :)

SicknSpan · 21/10/2013 17:05

Ooh another due date buddy! Loud there are a couple of us due on 4th now. Welcome!

LondonSuperTrooper · 21/10/2013 17:07

Clever I'm another one without any symptoms. I was convinced that everything was going wrong as I’m feeling very different to my last pregnancy. With DS, I had the extremely sensitive boobs and classic morning sickness; day and night.
This time round, I’m just bloated with back pain that could be due to my huge boobs!

MarlenaGru · 21/10/2013 17:09

Slightly freaked out by how many of you live very near me!

Liquidambar · 21/10/2013 17:10

great news London :)

Wispax I am having a private scan on the 31st. I think I should be around 7+4.

One of my friends had a baby a week ago and I'm heading to their place later on to meet the little one. But I am so tired today. I am now working 8am-4pm and it seems such a long day!

Welcome to the newbies.

AuntPittypat · 21/10/2013 17:55

On the not drinking thing, I've been telling people I'm doing the 'Sober October' thing. It's apparently an official thing but I'd never heard of it until a friend asked me to sponsor her for doing it. I don't think I have any social things planned for November or I don't know how I'd stretch it out!

Is anyone else due in the first half of June still waiting for notice of their booking in appt? I've not heard anything since I told my GP nearly 3 weeks ago and don't know whether I should chase it yet. I'm 7+2 today and getting very impatient!

CarrotCakeMuffins · 21/10/2013 18:42

Fantastic news london. Really pleased for you!

LondonSuperTrooper · 21/10/2013 18:43

Aunt, I'm due on 8th June and GP hasn't even sent the referral letter yet. I'm seeing GP tomorrow so hopefully I should hear something soonish.

LondonSuperTrooper · 21/10/2013 18:44

Thank you Liquid & Carrot :)

AuntPittypat · 21/10/2013 18:49

Ooh, London, I completely missed that you've had a scan. How wonderful! Lovely to hear that all is ok.

VickyVix · 21/10/2013 19:06

Great news london :)

I have my GP appointment on Friday, I'll be 6+2, not expecting too much but it will make it feel slightly more real.

Good luck with your scan on Friday wispa I'd love to hear how it goes.

Have been researching hospitals, I'm SW London, there's just so much info to take in!

Also researching somewhere to have an early scan in central London so would love to hear of any recommendations. I was thinking of getting one around 8/9 weeks do I can put my mind at rest. My POAS addiction is terrible, I still do one practically every morning and it's getting pricey! If I could see my bean and possibly hear the heartbeat that wod be so amazing, and I might actually believe it then!

VickyVix · 21/10/2013 19:07

^ wod should be would

MTMD · 21/10/2013 19:21

Oh-oh! MIL rang to say they're getting us tickets to the Good Food Show for our birthdays. That's less than a month later. At the moment i cant even face food commercials.. And they're going with us!

MTMD · 21/10/2013 19:23

There's something funny about it, actually :)

Liquidambar · 21/10/2013 19:53

Arrived home and had a letter with an appointment on 5th November to see the midwife and 5th December for the 12week scan (plus a ton of literature)
God, it all seems so alien even though is the second time: all the screening tests, all the things they test for.

My friend has such a cute baby girl. It was a bit scary to think I might have such a tinny baby in a few months.

bludgerwitch · 21/10/2013 19:58

London That really is great news!

I have my 2nd early scan tomorrow morning and my booking appointment on Thursday - I hope I see the heartbeat tomorrow so I can rest easy and stop fretting.

My little pleasure for today is that my pregnancy book says liver is fine once a week after the first trimester, so I can make homemade chicken liver pate for Christmas and actually eat it! It'll have to be thoroughly cooked instead of pink and I'll need to use less cognac, but still, I'm pleased.

bee024 · 21/10/2013 20:30

Hiya! Can I join? I am due on the 3rd June with my second. Had a really easy pregnancy with my first (2 in Dec) and am shocked how rubbish I feel this time round! Not actually throwing up (thankfully) but either feeling nauseous or absolutely ravenous. Can't win! :) And just sooo tired, plus it looks like DD has chosen this week to drop her afternoon nap! Aaarghh!

CleverOl10 · 21/10/2013 20:32

That's reassuring London that sounds quite like how I feel. Boobs are getting noticeably bigger and today are quite tender. Just glad no ms yet. Making me wonder if I'm having a girl as feel so different from when I was pg with ds.

CooCooCachoo · 21/10/2013 21:09

Feeling sorry for all you morning sickness sufferers! Hope it's manageable.

Feeling hungry but not nauseous yet but then always am. Rather hoping that MS kicks in before the snack attacks get too severe!

MrsB2013 · 21/10/2013 21:10

Sorry to hear so many of you are suffering with sickness :( I'm dreading it!

Can I ask if anyone can recommend a good pregnancy app for Android phones?

Also, with the 12 week scan, can you choose the date or do they just send you a letter with the appointment?
