Snowlet, yes it's hard work. I was throwing up from 7am to 10.30pm yesterday and my low point was throwing up in my hair and not having the energy to wash it out- I'm holding out for the glowing stage. (Was between 4-7 months with ds)

Ladygonegaga, I'm not on Facebook so will just stick to chatting on here if ok.

GillyBillyWilly · 21/10/2013 12:53

Oh my god south eastern trains this morning were horrendous!!!
Took me over an hour just to get to London bridge! Normally takes 20 mins max ... And that's on a slow train that stops at all the stupid little stations along the way! Arghhhh!

GinandStripes · 21/10/2013 12:58

Been feeling terrible this morning and I ran out of Rich Tea biscuits. It was nearly a disaster - but managed 5 minutes of feeling okay to pop to the shop!

wispaxmas · 21/10/2013 13:12

Geez, I'm counting myself ridiculously lucky. I get little waves of nausea, but I'm still able to do stuff. I'm so sorry for everyone that has debilitating sickness, it can't be easy to deal with. Hopefully it won't last very long, though.

Jaykay, is there any way you could swing driving to the meal and having to drive home? I'm most often not drinking on nights out because I've driven. Otherwise, you could let them pour you a small glass and only take a couple sips and hopefully no one will notice?

Hi ladies....I've just got my bfp!!! Can't quite believe it!

I'm due July 4th which seems ages away and although I've washed and polished the July bus it's a bit lonely with just me so if you don't mind i'll hang around here for a while!!

Feeling so sick, surprised I feel like this so early!! xx

Liquidambar · 21/10/2013 13:56

So sorry for those of you with ms. it sounds very distressing.
Can i confess that I am POAS-aholic? I was having some cramps and backache, so popped into boots at lunch time and bought a clear blue digital. It showed a 3+ which is nice since I'm 6 weeks today. The cramps are better but the backache is killing me. Perhaps 8 hours in front of the computer doesn't help.

MarlenaGru · 21/10/2013 13:57

I have lots of weird tummy feelings but yes the backache is no fun and standing on a train this morning did me no favours!

Snowlet · 21/10/2013 14:00

Yes MTMD the coldness is awful! I reckon it's to do with low blood pressure. Have you had your booking in? Mine was 100/68 which is low for me. Could account for some of the dizziness too. I know exactly how you feel, want this baby more than anything, but it is definitely worse than expected.

Cannot wait til magical week 13 when apparently it all disappears in a puff of smoke and you're left glowing and with endless energy! =P

Snowlet · 21/10/2013 14:02

Sorry I didn't see we'd jumped to a new page!

Bezza I'm so sorry, at least I can be glad I'm not actually throwing up, fingers crossed it doesn't last too long

Oh and congrats to the new BFPs!

CarrotCakeMuffins · 21/10/2013 14:37

I feel so queasy, I left work at 11ish, came home & went to bed.
I'm hoping this may be a good sign as I was nothing like this with any of my 3 mcs, but was with my DD (first preg).

I'm also very cold & shivery.

I really am not looking forward to 5 + more weeks of this...

Bezzabelle · 21/10/2013 15:13

Keep chins up girls, midwife told me when suffering with ds that baby is a parasite sucking up all the goodness from your body leaving you with nothing! So us all feeling awful just means our babies are feeling fantastic!!

SarahAnderson · 21/10/2013 15:20

Just got a positive test this morning! June 22. Really excited.

LoudAndLarge · 21/10/2013 15:26

Hello it's been a while since I posted, things have been a bit manic and after a day in a&e yesterday with some really painful right sided cramps they sent me for an early scan today.

One small healthy baby with a strong heartbeat. Today has been an absolute roller coaster. My due date has changed to the 4th May so I am now an official junebug.

Hello all the newbies and congratulations on your BFP.

SarahAnderson · 21/10/2013 15:31

"My due date has changed to the 4th May so I am now an official junebug."

I'm confused.... Do I not understand the concept of a due date? Wouldn't that make you a Maybug (Mayfly?)

wispaxmas · 21/10/2013 15:34

loudandlarge 4th June by any chance? And congrats on the scan results, it must feel wonderful :)

Welcome sarahanderson and the other newbies! 22 June is my wedding anniversary Grin

I'm suffering more from indigestion than anything, and have that awful gurgling in my lower abdomen, so we're having a lie down before heading out for dinner later.

Anyone else having an early scan soon? I've got one Friday and hoping for a happy baby and strong heartbeat like loudandlarge!

LoudAndLarge · 21/10/2013 15:38

Yes 4th June, can you tell it's been a long day!! Grin

Wispaxmas - can we take anything for indigestion iv been suffering too??
Congrats on the new Bfps.
Iv got my 8 week scan on the 1st nov.... time is passing so slowly though

wispaxmas · 21/10/2013 15:51

I've just changed the date of my 12 week scan to when I'll be 11+3 so that I only have to go up to London once, and not be going back and forth between England and France so much. So now I've got my booking in appt on 8 Nov, then we go to a wedding that weekend, and I'm going to stick around in England that week and I'll have my scan on the 15th and come back to Paris that weekend! Hopefully the little bean is progressing normally and they can do the proper test at the scan!

wispaxmas · 21/10/2013 15:55

Hannah, I haven't even looked into it, tbh. Am looking into it now, let me know if you come across something promising!

OP posts:
jaykay987 · 21/10/2013 15:55

wispa - thanks the idea. unfortunately we're staying at my in laws so driving won't work. also pouring a glass and nor drinking won't work as there's only two of us drinking and MIL always comments if she's behind or ahead of me! Grin
I think I need a way to explain not drinking. I'll be 12w that weekend (fb if everything goes ok the next dew weeks)- so there's a possibility we'll have had the scan. I just don't think we should announce it that weekend though - don't want to steal the thunder of the birthday girl!
drama drama! there's plenty of time to think of something!

wispa are you getting your scan on London? I'm looking for a recommendation - so would love to know where you're going and how you get on!

LoudAndLarge · 21/10/2013 15:57

Baby brain it is Grin

Wispa good luck Friday. I sobbed its a very strange experience, there was just a small blob with a heart beat. Amazing.

I have just got my booking in appointment also in the 29th but I'm working and work don't know yet so I may have to tell them as I doubt I will get a/l at such short notice.

It sits easier to tell some people now I have had the scan tho.

MTMD · 21/10/2013 15:59

Almost home time! I made it! And I even feel better thanks to all those crackers, leerdammer cheese and earl grey tea I've consumed today :)

Welcome new ladies! Congrats!

wispaxmas · 21/10/2013 16:03

Jaykay, I say London, but I'm very SE - scan will be at Saint Mary's in Sidcup, though I'm currently booked with the midwives at Princess Royal Hospital in Farnborough (Orpington), and will probably have to transfer down to East Surrey in the new year. As for the dinner, why not make a small announcement just to your in-laws just prior? You won't be stealing any thunder if it's not a big public announcement, and your parents in law will be so happy to know before everyone else.

loudandlarge, thanks, I really hope it's the same for me! And do you have to tell your work what it's regarding? Can you not say you have an urgent medical appointment? Surely you don't have to actually say what it's about. I don't think legally they can force you to tell them, or keep you from it, can they?

I'm so excited to tell my husband tonight... and my family probably shortly thereafter. Work is going to be a NIGHTMARE as we are all in an open plan room, and several of my colleagues are doctors and nurses. Oh, and I'm the boss -- so my pregnancy does actually affect them quite a lot! Will try to wait until 12 weeks before telling them but might need to cave before then.

Just popped out to buy folic acid and paranoid someone might see...
