Morning ladies :) hope those hat are feeling rubbish feel better soon. I'm starting to get a little queasy, nothing much and it comes and goes but I guess there may be worse to come, for me week 6 starts on Wednesday.

So I found a great way not to drink is to accept all the drinks and then just not drink them (thanks for the tip, can't remember who said it). DH was great and just kept drinking my drinks and we glass swapped so it looked like I was drinking too BUT the main downside of this was that DH got horrendously drunk as was drinking twice as much as everyone else and I had to out up with him !! May need a re-think on this one Hmm

Karmalaa · 21/10/2013 10:23

Hi Ladies,

I wanted to wish you all luck with your June 14 babies! After a truly horrid two weeks I can confirm I'm out Sad hope to be back on the bus soon.

Take care

Sorry to hear your bad news, Karmalaa. Hope you're back again soon. This is a horrible thing to go through :-(. I've taken you off.

Tiny I've taken you off as well. I didn't want to be insensitive and take you off before you knew for definite. Thinking of you :-(

Morning. I'm a regular lurker and occasional poster - can I join?! Found out this morning I'm due June 22, so if my maths is correct (doubtful) I'm five weeks gone. Already got a DS 6 so having a few wobbles about throwing a hand grenade into our little threesome

This calendar is very easy to follow if anyone else gets confused with the dates etc. Has a printable version too.

sheilatakeabow · 21/10/2013 11:05

Yay, I was right. My faculties haven't completely deserted me... yet! Thanks for that

LadyGoneGaga · 21/10/2013 11:06

Guys - our Mumsnet Facebook group is now up and running. Think there are 4 of us over there now. Be lovely to see some more joining us. We still have this place but FB closed groyup good for sharing more private stuff or organising chats by specific threads and so on. PM me or SquiglettsMummy with your RL name/email address if you want to join. Don't be shy!

4+1 today (5+0 by LMP). This is going to take an age to get to 12 weeks! Every single one of my pregnancies I've always been at the back of the sodding bus!

[Grin] it's good to be here! Glad there's somewhere to vent, especially while I can't tell people. DS jumped on my chest the other day and I nearly hit the bloody ceiling! Not too sick yet, but already looking a bit chubby round my middle - thank God it's scarf season!

sheilatakeabow · 21/10/2013 11:28

VickyVix my DH also thinks that drinking tactic is an unexpected result for him - double the drinks all night - He had to down a bottle of prosecco on behalf of us both the other night as we kept being topped up!
My main drinks hurdle will be works Xmas meal & drinks, as no one to cover for me there. Don't want work to know for as long as poss as I know it will change the dynamic there.

Welcome Sheila.
and so sorry to Tiny & Kamaala, sending sympathies to you both x

sheilatakeabow · 21/10/2013 11:49

Sorry to Tiny and Kamaala too, dreadful timing on my part. I apologise for my my insensitivity x

Aggghh...hope those feeling rough made it into work ok.
Yesterday was my first nauseous day. Today it's coming and going. I guess it'll only get worse from here.

I think thats a great drinking tactic. Luckily I don't have too many social things lined up at the moment.

I've got two sets of friends coming over on different weekends.
One of the wives is pregnant - so I could play not drinking to be her support.
The others like to drink. But I'll be making them - so I can "forget" the gin and just have tonic in my glass with no question.

The occasion Im worried about is dinner with the in laws. I don't normally order a drink - FIL knows to order a bottle or two of white for me and MIL to plough through! I could say I'm on antibiotics but not sure they'd believe me. They'd believe I'm not drinking due to a health kick as I've done that once before - but we're going out to celebrate a big birthday - so that would look rude. Really not sure how to handle it. Blush

jaykay987 · 21/10/2013 11:51

sorry. no idea how I managed that!
when does baby brain kick in? Wink

NellyOC · 21/10/2013 11:56

Hello - can I join?

I've just found out I'm pregnant following a miscarraige last month (no AF between miscarriage and BFP). I also had a miscarraige in July.

My calculations would have me due around 28th June.

I know it's very early on, but after last month I need something to focus on and keep positive.

Snowlet · 21/10/2013 11:57

Genuinely beginning to despair.... while I don't chuck up, I'm right on the verge for honestly every single second I'm awake, all day long. I didn't realise it would be like this, this is so hard. Anyone else having just about the worst time of their life? (I'm 7 weeks tomorrow.)

MTMD · 21/10/2013 12:03

Snowlet, me too, absolutely shocked at how bad this feels.. I managed to eat some crackers with cheese but instead of feeling better I now feel really dizzy and can't stop shivering.. All this at work.. Counting minutes till crashing back to bed.. This baby means a world for us and I'm ready to go through this in order to have him, but it's a real shock.

MarlenaGru · 21/10/2013 12:07

I remember last time wondering why anyone would do pregnancy twice. I even told my dh I wanted to die in the first 6 weeks. It usually does get a lot better at around 12-13 weeks. Hang in there!!
