GillyBillyWilly · 19/10/2013 21:03

I haven't been offered a blood test!

Got my booking appt on Wednesday... Will the midwife take bloods then?

Stacks · 19/10/2013 21:07

I've only told my sister, and only because she told me about hers first. She sent me a pic of their positive pee stick, and I know she'd be angry if I didn't tell her about this pg till later. DH wanted to tell his parents today, but I think I'd like to wait a bit longer.

MarlenaGru · 19/10/2013 21:32

I have my booking appt letter - yay! Except it is the only day I can't take time off work in the next 3 months as I have a conference Angry hopefully they can change the date. It is atmy local surgery which is useful.

Am really stressing at the moment as I have no sickness and was sick as a dog last time. I can't bend over though, it is completely uncomfortable to put pressure on my lower stomach and my boobs are sore but no sickness is stressing me a lot! I know if it kicks in I will regret saying this!

MarlenaGru · 19/10/2013 21:35

I told my friend I was pregnant with last time, my best friend at work (as I need someone to help hide the fact I am not drinking at the moment) and today one of my other friends messaged me to say she is 8 weeks and we were discussing perhaps TTC earlier this year so I told her too. If I am as sick as last time everyone will know though. I don't do sick well Blush

Beckala · 19/10/2013 22:42

Please can i join, New to mnet, but pregnancy number 4 due around 20.06 very excited just suffering ms very extream. 2 days in bed near wailing with self pity, until i found this group & decided i need to pma up some. 36 & making this my last addition so hoping all is okay

CleverOl10 · 19/10/2013 22:49

Welcome beckala :-)

I also was sick a lot last time Marlena but nothing yet so far although to be honest I can't remember when it kicked in last time and I'm only 6+3 so have plenty of time to get symptoms I guess. Maybe it will be different this time. FX!

WifeofGru · 20/10/2013 00:05

Hi all,

So so sorry to those who have lost their little ones or are going through the anxiety of not knowing.
marlena totally get where you are coming from. I was very sick with my first DD, a bit less so with DD2 and feel a bit queasy in the afternoons at the moment, but panic if I don't feel sick on a particular day. I should really just enjoy a day of not feeling sick, but it's so hard not to worry.
I am overseas at moment so will go for a scan here in a few weeks but won't be able to book in UK til January when, all being well I'll be 16 weeks.

GirlsGotInk85 · 20/10/2013 01:15

Hi, just wondering if I can join. Got my bfp on Wednesday :-) Not sure what my due date is, my last cycle started around 18th sept but not 100% sure and they have been lasting between 25 and 32 days so not sure when I ovulated either. I only took a test because I came home from uni feeling weak and sick, I had also been crying at ridiculous things and just couldn't pull myself together. I just kind of knew when I woke the next day that I am pregnant so did a test (then another 2 :-D ). This will be DC #4 for me and hubby. Has anyone been getting morning sickness only at night?.....Wish I could have more symptoms, might help it sink in.

MarlenaGru · 20/10/2013 07:15

Welcome newbies!!
Lying in bed desperate for a wee but my DC has a friend for a sleepover and whilst they are playing nicely it is so peaceful!
Let's hope none of us will be as sick this time then and ignore the worry... Ha if only!
wifeof my friend who told me she is pregnant yesterday is overseas and at 8 weeks has had two scans already and will have them almost every two weeks! Reassuring but a bit OTT.

ohcluttergotme · 20/10/2013 07:16

Welcome Beckala and girlsgot.
This is pregnancy no 4 for me and I don't have sickness but just keep feeling queesy Hmm
Sometimes feel so ok that I wonder am I definitely pregnant? But my boobs are definitely taking on a life of their own and I can't stop weeing also feel really tearful at daft things.
Keep waking at 3am and can't get back to sleep, thinking this must be pregnancy related too.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday Smile

MarlenaGru · 20/10/2013 07:17

clever I only found out at nearly 6 weeks last time but tested because I felt so sick (I never used to take note of AF dates. I should have suspected much sooner given we were trying too. Hmm )

ohcluttergotme · 20/10/2013 07:19

Oops not pregnancy no 4, no 3! Shock

MarlenaGru · 20/10/2013 07:34

Lol clutter no third child hiding somewhere?

ohcluttergotme · 20/10/2013 08:01

Ha Marlena, there may be! This pregnancy seems to be frazzling my brain and it's so early, I'm worried what I'll be like next June Shock

MarlenaGru · 20/10/2013 08:15

Same here! After carefully sorting the lovely jumpers and bras to do a delicate wash yesterday I put them on a full cotton wash. And one of the jumpers is ruined. And it wasn't even mine Hmm

Bumblebeesmum · 20/10/2013 08:25

Just caught up with all the posts. Some of it's just sad - this baby making is seriously hard work!
Kittybubbles I have a 17 month old who is V active so this is going to be an interesting pregnancy!!
As for all the running nonsense - what is wrong with you all? Running is HORRIBLE!! I am lazy whilst not pregnant - stories of running at 30 odd weeks...I struggled to walk up the stairs!
That said I put on way too much weight in last pregnancy so am desperate to keep active this time, but I will not be resorting to the hell that is running!! :) :)
(Secretly jealous)

mumof5plusazoo · 20/10/2013 10:05

I've just caught up there is such a lot of sad new, I'm really sorry and hope you all have sticky ones soon.
Hello to the new ladies.
The tiredness and nausea are kicking in here now. I'm trying to start getting organised for our holiday next week, however my 5 kids keep 'helping'! I keep finding bags full of random things they want to take bless them.

Batmam · 20/10/2013 10:51

Hiya, just popping my head around the door to ask if I can join? Just got my bfp on Friday, EDD is 28 June I'm guessing but DC1 came 3 weeks early so think I'm better off here than in July! This is my first ever natural bfp (ttc 4 years altogether, DD was ivf and I m/c'd her twin) so I'm mega cautious at the mo, but just wanted to say hello so I can start following y'all! ??

CarrotCakeMuffins · 20/10/2013 11:06

Hello all

Such a lot of sad news over the last week. So very sorry for everyone who has dropped out. I have been there so know how painful it is.

Welcome to all the many newbies, hope you all get to stick around.

I have been feeling too ill to even read the threads, so have just read all 12 pages this morning. Last week I was so tired that I even took a day off work & spent it in bed sleeping. Tiredness is much improved now, but the constant nausea has kicked in. I'm hoping this is all a good sign.

On Wednesday I will be 7+2 and have an early scan (3 prev mcs), so will find out then if all is ok or if I am out. Keeping FX.

MyNameIsWinkly · 20/10/2013 11:23

Fingers crossed for you carrot

cheesysmile · 20/10/2013 11:30

Welcome newbies ... many congrats!

Good luck with scan on wed carrot.

Whoever it was that said they feel hungover I just wanted to say thats how I feel too. Tired, queasy and a bit grumpy!

So far we've told my parents and two friends who we went out with the other night ... wud have been very sus me not drinking when known for my love of wine and cocktails! Basically gonna keep to ourselves as much as poss but tell if we need to.

I'm 7+1 today and still thinking about getting an 8wk scan ... can't decide if its a good idea or not. Got midwife appt on Thursday so maybe see how I feel after that.

GillyBillyWilly · 20/10/2013 11:40

Cheesy you're a couple of days ahead of me... I'm 6+6 today Smile
Got my midwife appt on wed and scan on 20th nov.

I actually went as far as booking (and paying for) an early scan which I was gonna have in a week or so when I will be 8+2 but then I had second thoughts... Canceled it and got a refund!!!! Grin

Spoke to my mum and sister who both said to just wait til my 12 week scan and that an early scan is good but could potentially worry me more if there's not much to see/hear and could also give me false hope... And that getting to 12 weeks is a better milestone and the scan will be better etc etc.

Everyone's different I suppose and I am anxious and really want a scan but I think I can wait that little bit longer. I don't have any history of miscarriage or health problems so I have no real reason to be worried... Except I'm sure everyone is anxious and worried at this stage until they hear a heartbeat!

We are going on holiday for a week on 30th and when we're back it will be less than 2 weeks til my scan. I'm counting down the days!

Do what's right for you. If you can't wait til 12 weeks and/or are anxious then definitely book an early scan.

Personally I just decided to take each day as it comes and wait it out!

GillyBillyWilly · 20/10/2013 11:41

Good luck on wednesday carrot, FX for you Smile

HannahC1989 · 20/10/2013 11:47

Morning ladies.
Can i ask to those who have older siblings when have you or would you tell them? I was planning to about 20 weeks?
Has anyone told them earlier or left it late? My LG is 4 in january
Thanks

MTMD · 20/10/2013 11:48

Welcome new ladies! May the sticky force be with you!

I feel like I have this perpetual motion sickness. The worst part so far is that I cannot even think about food. So no interest in breakfast today which makes matters worse.. Semi tempted to ask DH to fetch me some crisps but that's no solution, surely!

Went to the cinema yesterday. Captain Philips is intense enough to distract from stomach troubles. And I managed to eat quite a lot of popcorn. Mmm.. nutritious! :P
