So sorry for all those suffering losses. My heart goes out to you all.

kitty if all goes well I'll be due on 27/6 as well, we can sit at the back of the bus together :)

KittyBubbles · 19/10/2013 14:29

Hey Winkly! My DD was five days late (even though I was assured she would be early as I was the size of a house!) so I'm half expecting to be late with number two too! Doctors appointment booked for Wednesday so I can get this ball rolling!

MyNameIsWinkly · 19/10/2013 14:38

After my mmc in August, I'm a bit scared to start making it 'official' this time! But think I'll have to toughen up and make the call on Monday. Eek!

KittyBubbles · 19/10/2013 14:43

I am cautious till I go to the first 12 week scan or till the morning sickness kicks in. The last pregnancy went by in a blur and I can't remember the first 12 weeks really so am hoping they whizz by again!

CleverOl10 · 19/10/2013 15:03

Just made the mistake of watching the Finn tribute episode of Glee - woah, pregnancy hormones kicked in and I sobbed for an hour!!! Just a warning to all lol ;)

GinandStripes · 19/10/2013 15:47

Clever I saw the new Johnson's ad yesterday, was sure it would set me off... It didn't. I then watched The one show and they showed a clip of a new programme about Iceland - there was a store who won 10k - blubbering mess!

CleverOl10 · 19/10/2013 15:52

Lol Gin who is to say what is gonna set a pregnant lady off?!

Got to admit to a slight damp eye at the Johnson's ad though....

MTMD · 19/10/2013 16:07

GinandStripes, I'm also 5+5 today but my due date is 15th.. How come?

I'm been such a lazy bum today. Woke up at 11 (very unusual), had some breakfast, felt unwell, back to bed, woke up at 4am Shock This is crazy! Always wanted to be an active pregnant lady butbnot in a mood for anything else due to tiredness and nausea.. Zzzzzz

Bezzabelle · 19/10/2013 16:17

Cars movie set me off when watching it with my ds at the end when lightening McQueen sacrifices the race and says 'an old car once told me its just an empty cup'. Crazy!!

GillyBillyWilly · 19/10/2013 16:23

Gin I was gonna say if you're 5+5 today then your due date is more like 15th surely?!

ElizaB3 · 19/10/2013 16:49

Thanks Gin
Was overnight at the hospital with her to give my mum a break, but the end is v close now. Just heading back.
Not wanting to take away from everyone else excitement tho.

I used the calculator at pregnology.com that makes me 5 +5 if due on the 16th. I'm no expert tho!

How many people have told their mum already? x

x

CleverOl10 · 19/10/2013 17:00

I feel quite mean that I haven't told my parents yet - and am off to spend the night with my MIL without telling her either. But I'm only 6+3 and I'd rather have a few more weeks under my belt.

We're seeing MIL and DH's family when I'm 10 weeks and my parents and family when I'm 11 so will break the news then. It seems a very long time away though. I've never kept a secret this long! Last time I gave in and told them at 6 weeks (which would be now!).

But I want my DS to know first so he can tell them and I'm not ready to tell him yet.

Thank goodness for you guys so I feel like I'm telling someone!

MTMD · 19/10/2013 17:06

Not telling anyone till Christmas. I love the fact that me and DH have this beautiful little secret :)

GillyBillyWilly · 19/10/2013 17:56

I told my mum straight away! Mum and sister! And DH obviously Grin

They're the only people that know in the family though.

We'll wait til we have had the 12 week scan before telling the rest of the rabble! Grin

LondonSuperTrooper · 19/10/2013 18:01

Welcome newbies :)

I've only told my DH and my parents. Determined to keep it quite for a little until I'm sure that I'll have a sticky beanie.

ohcluttergotme · 19/10/2013 18:03

I know we shouldn't of but we told both sets of our parents yesterday and teenage dd but keeping it hush from 4 teal old.
We got a new car yesterday and it's bigger than our old one. We went to each parents house and when showing the car we showed them te boot and said it'll be good as lots of room for the pram! Both sets reactions were great! I'm glad that my mum knows as couldn't go down and sit with her without telling. Went down today and she made me chamomile and mint tea as she said its helped re when she felt sick when carrying me. Was really nice chatting about pregnancy things Smile

MyNameIsWinkly · 19/10/2013 18:10

I've told my parents and in laws this evening. I know it's early but what the hell. Both sets were really good with our loss, and if we lose this one they'll find out so they might as well get the good news side of it :)

KittyBubbles · 19/10/2013 19:15

Told the family yes and a few close friends. A friend has just gone through her third round of IVF for her second baby and she told me as soon as she got the positive result, so it was only fair to tell her. Looks like (all being well) we will have babies with due dates within days of each other! Just hoping her bean (or beans?!) stick as this is their last attempt. She has an early scan in two weeks to check everything is going well. Keeping everything crossed for her.

Last time I got morning sickness early on and quite badly so it was impossible to hide.

Anyone else's back killing them?

MTMD · 19/10/2013 19:21

Yeah I think that one way our cover might be blown is if I continue feeling this way... Large part of our family is abroad but don't know how I'll manage to avoid the rest for next couple of months :-/

I don't know why but I really don't have the slightest impatience to tell anyone. When my mum was pregnant with my little sis she hid her belly till 5 months, must be genetic :D

giraffelegs · 19/10/2013 19:29

I don't think I put what my due date is, 12th June. 6+2 today! I have only told DH, my acupuncture lady and a friend who is going through IVF. I think we're going to keep it to ourselves a little longer although morning sickness is kicking in so not sure how easy it will be!

So sorry to see more sad news on the thread, I hope you are being looked after.

VickyVix · 19/10/2013 19:29

I can't decide when to tell the parents, I want to get a bit further along first, maybe around the 8-10 week mark so a few more weeks to go yet. Have only told one friend who was lovely but understood it was early.

DH is quite excited today which is lovely, had a nice chat over whether we think it would be a boy or girl :)

VickyVix · 19/10/2013 19:31

Oh and kitty I have my fingers crossed for your friend

NessieMcFessie · 19/10/2013 19:39

Gosh, I have been out for a few days and so sorry to read the news about Cyber and Tiny.

Still feeling pretty sick here - although DD and DH have a tummy bug so it could be that too. Am on holiday at the moment and we got in the hire car yesterday and DD promptly threw up everywhere........3 times. Poor wee thing. Bad timing all round - here is hoping the holiday improves.

I haven't told anyone (apart from DH) yet - last time I didn't tell til 12 weeks (even my Mum).

GinandStripes · 19/10/2013 20:21

I'm telling my family next week, wanted to wait until I see them. I've spoken to my a Dad and my brother on the phone since I found out and it was so hard to not blurt it out.

adaloveslace · 19/10/2013 21:01

Just popping in to say I'm so, so sorry for all the bad news on the thread today.

I got my blood test results back today. Everything is within normal ranges thankfully. I was 30 dpo when the bloods were taken and my hcg was 7915, which is slightly at the upper end of normal I think. But everyone's hcg is different so now that I've stopped obsessively googling not going to worry about it. Anyone else got a hcg to compare?
