Tiny - I think I may be in the same boat - 5 weeks rather than 8 (but they can't see anything but a sac?!). I don't know. I'm sorry you are going through this too.

Sorry Tiny and Cyber - sending my best wishes though I know they don't really help. Wishing you the strength to get through it the best you can.

I've got a scan arranged for next week - privately as my GP surgery wouldn't do it (bastards! lol), but free. Really nervous - had a MC before and terrified it won't be ok. Gonna be a nerve-wracking week.

Dear all, please can you add me to the list. Got bfp yesterday, think I'm about 6 wks, due date 21st. Bit of a shock as although we have been trying, I started a new job two weeks ago and have been totally focused on that. Am quite anxious as had a MMC in March which shattered me... hoping and praying this will stick although timing is not brilliant. Have a 2yo dd.

My heart goes out to those who are suffering bleeding etc.

This has been a sad thread today, really sorry for all the bad news but fingers crossed that it is not bad news for some bit just dates mixed up/small babies.

Ladies, I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Nothing that I can say can take the pain away. Pls keep strong and be kind to yourself.

RaRa, I'm in the same position as you. I have a scan in Monday and I'm hoping and praying that I'll get to see the heartbeat and they everything is OK.

This has been a hard day to read this thread. Keep smiling all, please :) and stay strong.

On a lighter note, had a real pregnancy sign today - my big lump of a dog decided to come lie on my stomach for a cuddle. He hasn't done that since I was last pregnant. He normally isn't interested however for my whole previous pregnancy I couldn't get rid of him. It's like an animal nurturing sense. So sweet.

Oh gosh, what a horrible couple of days on here. I'm so sorry for your losses, and best wishes for a speedy return to the antenatal boards for you all.

Sussex that's amazing! Congratulations. Are you also freaked out by the fact that by our next birthday we will could possibly have newborns?! Also, if the number in your name refers to your age, we were born on exactly the same day!

Clever- my mum's old blind cat has been all over me the whole time and she hasn't sat on any of us for years! Weird isn't it! My mum was in utter shock!

MrsGasMan - wow it does seem we were born on the exactly the same day and are now expecting our babies on the same day too! What a funny coincidence :)

Just been reading over yesterday's thread and so sad. This baby making business is a hard one. Hoping that all waiting get the right results.
Funny about animals, we have 3 cats, a mummy & her boys and my mummy cat has been so sooky to me and wanting to sit on my tummy. My 4 old ds must sense something too as he has been so loving and cuddly.
We told our teenage dd and both sets of parents, know we're really early but just had to share.

I've been telling people. I'm a talker though and I would prefer to tell people if things went wrong too, so I don't see any reason not to. Also it's massive news (is there anything bigger?) and I can't keep my own secrets for toffee!

Emmazers I'm exactly the same, complete chatterbox! I drive my husband mad when we're out and about, he doesn't get why I need to tell the shop assistant who I'm buying something for, or why I wasn't sure about it I feel If something went wrong I would share that too. I did worry though yesterday when I saw how happy my dd was, how she would be

Lurking for a few days and really sad to see some of the news. I'm due 16th and it's my first and totally paranoid! Oh and hate feeling like I am hung over all the time without the fun the night before
