mummy i'll have the crumble!

lyra i really really hope it all works out!

poem sorry to hear you're not having an easy time of it xxx

madwife (the bag sounds just gorgeous haha) becca and comms thanks, really appreciate the info and stories, it's always nice to hear good overall positive outcomes from any birth complication! i'll have an ask if they use them on the potential wards I'll be going to!

i know they can be life saving which is where i should probably stop talking as I'm sure where i stand on them could be a bit controversial and i don't want to upset anyone!

prambo2thereturn · 11/10/2013 23:26

You won't upset me, Moosey, do tell...

Lyra, you go for it, girl!

Spending the night in the MLU at the hospital. I came in at about 1.30am because I've been having painful tightenings all day which got progressively worse. Doc has done scan and looked at cervix and all looking normal but agrees I shouldn't be having this pain so is keeping me in overnight. I can't sleep because a woman in another room is crying out in pain. I shouldn't be here yet Sad

LyraSilvertongue · 12/10/2013 03:17

And I'm still getting the pain. Feels like contractions. Every few minutes Sad

LyraSilvertongue · 12/10/2013 03:19

Ooh the baby in the other room has just been born. One loud scream from mother then tiny cries Smile
I'll stop talking to myself now and try to get some sleep. Wanna go home.

IceNoSlice · 12/10/2013 06:05

Oh Lyra I hope you got some sleep and the pains stop. How awful for you Sad. But good news that the scan and exam went well, fx for you xx

MummyPig24 · 12/10/2013 07:05

Oh lyra, huge, huge hugs. How are you feeling now? Is the pain any better? I hope you get some answers.

Yes you are right about rubella being German measles, I was wrong there. I had the mmr vaccine as a child so I am immune. I also had chicken pox so I should be fine, although my children haven't had it yet and I'm sure they will get it when the baby is tiny and I will be worried.

edam I'm sorry about the migraines. And also pirates about the back.

My nan made the toffee apple crumble so I don't know how she made it. I'm planning on eating it for breakfast. The kids will be furious. Hehe!

commsgirl · 12/10/2013 07:27

Thinking of you Lyra

BWP I'm so pleased to hear that things are better for you this time :)

Wonder77 · 12/10/2013 07:28

Hope you're ok Lyra

Wonder77 · 12/10/2013 07:30

Been off thread with stomach bug and sore throat . Rubbish. Waiting for my 20 wk scan appt to come through. I've not felt any movement yet- thought I might've by now?(16w)

BakingEating · 12/10/2013 07:42

Lyra I hope you are still fast asleep after such a bad night. Thanks Brew

JustCallMeBaldrick · 12/10/2013 07:46

Hope you're OK this morning Lyra
I had a bath last night, and as soon as I got in beanie went wild!! She was having a lovely time, and I actually saw my tummy (well, the flab Blush) move Grin

Edamame · 12/10/2013 08:14

Thinking of you Lyra, darling. Hope everything is fine and you're allowed home soon.

MummyPig24 · 12/10/2013 08:19

Wonder I can't remember, is this your first baby? 16 weeks would be early to feel movement if it is your first. It could be any time now though that you start to feel them.

PiratesMam · 12/10/2013 08:22

Lyra hope you are ok. I had similar pains overnight when I put my back out at the beginning of the week. Thanks

Wonder this is your 3rd isn't it? I am on no3 too and have only just felt definite movements this week (19 weeks)

Happyhoppy · 12/10/2013 08:25

Hope the pains are better this morning lyra

pram, I've got one of the Gap sweaters and it is very "normal" - it fits nicely now with little bump and presumably will stretch as I grow. They keep emailling discount vouchers too - no need for full price!

Blockette · 12/10/2013 08:28

Wow Lyra, hope you feel better soon, and the dr can tell you what's wrong?

I still haven't felt anything move yet (18w) but tbh I dont really know what to look out for? People say it feels like butterflies, but I don't think I've ever felt them eaither!

OwlinaTree · 12/10/2013 08:49

Hope you are OK lyra thinking of you x

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 12/10/2013 09:10

lyra how ru this morning? Hope you're doing ok Flowers

LyraSilvertongue · 12/10/2013 09:11

Morning. Thanks for your concern, lovely ladies. I slept badly ( this place is really noisy) but awoke pain-free. They've taken some blood and I think I have to wait for the results before they'll release me. Sigh.

Rockchick1984 · 12/10/2013 09:13

Lyra I hope you're ok this morning and that they have figured out what's wrong Thanks

Block mine literally feels like how your palm would feel if you held a tiny butterfly in your hand - very soft fluttery feeling. Although starting to get a few sharper kicks now!

Rockchick1984 · 12/10/2013 09:14

X posts - so glad you're feeling better. Do they have any idea what's caused it?
