Hola Amiga!

LyraSilvertongue · 11/10/2013 18:02

I'm watching The Crystal Maze with DS1. Remember that? I used to love it in the '80s.

SuperMuddle · 11/10/2013 18:04

Hola chica!

Very sorry lyra, but I posted just after you on the last thread, so I had the last word Blush. heheh

LyraSilvertongue · 11/10/2013 18:05

Damn you, woman!

CalltheMadwife · 11/10/2013 18:23

Grey if you want to keep the placenta then just say do! Lots of people do got religious/cultural reasons.

Also with the LSCS vs forceps I'd say you'd have to speak with a consultant as they'd be unlikely to do this due to the risk to yourself, the baby and future pregnancies, risk of bleeding etc

CalltheMadwife · 11/10/2013 18:24

So* that should say

Rockchick1984 · 11/10/2013 18:32

Grey is it just the Keillands forceps you wouldn't want used? If so apparently lots of hospitals don't use them any more anyway, so ask beforehand rather than worrying (my hospital doesn't use them). They are the ones that have the awful reputation, normal forceps apparently aren't too bad and can be the difference between baby coming out ok or not as it takes time to prep for surgery and sometimes you don't have that time.

PiratesMam · 11/10/2013 18:44

Jumping on to thread 12. Well, hobbles on, clutching back.

Pram it's bloody football tonight - no Corrie! Angry

Edamame · 11/10/2013 18:51

Hello again, been away from the thread for while with migraines & work.

Been wearing my Baby on Board badge on the tube and I'm keeping a note of who offers me their seat. So far it's 6-0 to the gents, including two men who were standing who asked other (seated) men to let me sit down and also a teenage boy. Who would've thought?!

Blockette · 11/10/2013 18:53

Busy but marking my place!

Hello! And if I don't get back tonight, have a good weekend everyone!

Cassiopeia01 · 11/10/2013 18:57

Marking my place.

Made it to Devon. Sat in front if a roaring log fire having scoffed 2 Big Macs (again!) at lunch. Perfection!

LyraSilvertongue · 11/10/2013 19:00

Sounds lovely, Cass Smile

rescoonetwothree · 11/10/2013 19:03

madwife thanks for the reply! do you mean they'd be unable to do cs or forceps sorry? what do you take the placenta home in also?!

rock yeah just those ones!

edamame glad to hear! do you mean no women have?! very interesting!

prambo2thereturn · 11/10/2013 19:07

Muddle, thanks to your pedantry we ended on 1001 posts! Grin

Edamame, how are you working with those migraines? I feel so, so sorry for you Sad You too, Pirates. Here, have these: Thanks they're from...well, you know the drill.

For tea I have made: Chicken casserole with lardons and herby dumplings, goose fat roasties, mash and runner beans with shallot butter. Dessert is pear and pecan sponge cake with custard - all home made ('cept for t'custard)!

LyraSilvertongue · 11/10/2013 19:11

Pram, you stole those flowers from my garden didn't you! Admit it?

And I hope it's Ambrosia custard from a tin. Way better than the powdered stuff. I've never made real custard.

Happyhoppy · 11/10/2013 19:11

Hi again, sorry for being an infrequent commenter/lurker.

On the painful nipples, I've got that! Since the weather has got colder, mine are so-cold-they're-burning, even underneath lots of layers, when I'm outside. April, are yours temperature sensitive too?

prambo2thereturn · 11/10/2013 19:12

Cassie, how utterly idyllic Envy

I am entirely unsurprised that no women got up for you, Edam. Women are largely more twatty and self-entitled than men (which is why I will be avoiding antenatal classes).

prambo2thereturn · 11/10/2013 19:13

Shit, Lyra, you know me better than that; powdered custard is Satan's spawn.

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 11/10/2013 19:17

Hello!!!!

Dinner tonight is pie, mash and veg. Yum!!

I work in a school on a Friday, a teacher having a bad day got chips from the chip shop and gave me half!!! And they were good!!!
Also had a child off sick with confirmed chicken pox - I had it mildly as a child. What's the risk to a pregnant women?

LyraSilvertongue · 11/10/2013 19:22

Just made an appointment to see the restaurant we want to buy on Monday. So excited/scared in equal measure.

Dinner tonight was sausage, mash and veg. Boys are with their dad tonight so I'm planning a lazy evening of tv watching.

rescoonetwothree · 11/10/2013 19:38

oooh lyra are we allowed a sneak?!

JustCallMeBaldrick · 11/10/2013 19:42

Marking my place on the new thread Smile

MummyPig24 · 11/10/2013 19:45

rasp my blood results showed I am immune to rubella. Isn't that the chicken pox thing? Your blood results would have shown whether or not you are immune. I think the risk is quite low if you have already had it.

Dinner tonight was roast chicken, potatoes, carrots, broccoli and peas. It was yummy. Followed by toffee apple crumble and custard which the kids had. Dh and I didn't fancy any so the rest is in the fridge for whoever wants it.

LyraSilvertongue · 11/10/2013 19:46

I'd like to, grey, but I don't want to jinx it. I'm feeling all superstitious and like it won't happen if I say too much. Silly, I know.

rescoonetwothree · 11/10/2013 19:52

understandable lyra ! hope you like it there, all so exciting!

mummy / rasp - I've had chicken pox, had the mmr and am still classed as 'rubella susceptible' from my bloods. i didn't think chicken pox was rubella though?
