TheBlonde · 22/08/2006 16:00

13 + 6
Can you call the hospital?

TheBlonde · 22/08/2006 16:01

Sorry should have said 11 weeks to 13 + 6

Piffle · 22/08/2006 16:07

Hi everyone
I'm having an ok day, mild on/off nausea and very tired, but due to my two divine kids have got plenty of rest.
My docs told me no antihistamines when I was pregnant with dd...
Yeah that stabbing pain in your groin/pelvis I get that from sitting to standing and getting out of bed, sneezing and stretching - I am pretty sure it is round ligament pain. Never realised your body started to cave in quite so early

leogaela · 22/08/2006 17:46

Piffle, last time I only had the pain early on in the pregnancy. i not sure if it disappearing was something to do with taking magnesium which i from about the beginning of the second trimester i think.

fatfox · 22/08/2006 17:56

Hi Folks

Piffle, glad you had a decent day - being able to rest makes all the difference doesn't it?

Themum, definately bug the hospital for a date. They must have other midwives covering for yours while she's on hols. Anyway, its not fair you should have to wait in suspense. Last time, my hospital booked my nuchal for 14 weeks!! I bugged them and they changed it to 12.

Told my boss today!!!!

He gave me a huge hug and was lovely about it. Also told my team and got some more hugs.
Hopefully everyone will be really nice to me now. May as well milk it as I've been suffering for weeks, with no sympathy

One of my best friends who has been trying for 3 years to conceive and had a very late missed MC is also pregnant - due on the same day as me!!!

Spooky or wot?

I find it really difficult to tell people, without feeling all emotional - must be the mummy hormones or something.

fatfox · 22/08/2006 17:59

Leo

Where are you off to for your hols??

Our childminder just returned from Cyprus, where it was 53 degrees in the daytime, and 33 at night!! She loved it though!

egypt · 22/08/2006 18:47

hi all
my due date is 27 march. ms has gone today! and i'm not wearing the seabands, so yes it is a bit of a worry as 9 weeks seems early to me too, like you say piffle. i guess it'll return tomorrow. just been working out dates for scans and dh is away from 11.5 to 13.3 so not much of a window for booking a nuchal scan. that also means he is away when i'm likely to get my 12 wk scan through and am due an early scan (although not so early is it and not heard yet!) because i conceived on clomid so need to check for multiples. gulps. who's on here expecting twins?

my gp says that all anti-histamines cover themselves by saying not recommended in preg but there is no evidence to suggest they are dangerous, as well as none to suggest they aren't. he says if you can manage without then do, but i have taken piriton a few times as i do suffer. a nasal spray is fine. try that?

Piffle · 22/08/2006 18:51

I know exactly what you mean about the sickness stopping, it was really very bad last week and now I feel pretty much ok, still a little nauseous when I go for 2 hours without eating.
I have not really put on any weight, considering who much I'm eating I'm astonished
maybe its the giving up booze and healthier food choices...
I'm not sure dp will make it my nuchal either

pennygaff · 22/08/2006 19:50

Hi Egypt, I am Due 27th March too, let me know how you go
is it your first?

pennygaff · 22/08/2006 20:00

Hi Fatfox just read your old post, Yes I am sick at work but its classic Morning sickness (at home), mostly and a day of dry retching, which in some situations can sometimes be funny. I get loads of spit too is that a common thing?

egypt · 22/08/2006 21:03

no its my second piffle. dd is 2.3 yrs

egypt · 22/08/2006 21:04

sorry! i mean pennygaff!

fatfox · 23/08/2006 08:29

Pennygaff

You poor thing! Do they know at work? I told my boss yesterday (I'm 12+3 and had scans Monday) it was SUCH a relief after feeling so ill for weeks and struggling at work. The tiredness is overwhelming!!!

LaidbackinAsia · 23/08/2006 08:41

Penny - I know what you mean about retching at work - during my last pregnancy I had to see a client that smelt of stale urine - I violently retched during the whole assessment .. it was so embarrassing .

fatfox · 23/08/2006 08:45

Sorry Laidback, I know your experience wasn't funny at all but it made me LOL

Sorry!

I have a friend at work who was PG with twins. We were interviewing someone for a job and she had to run out of the room to vomit in the middle of asking the candidate a question!!

Tallie11 · 23/08/2006 09:55

Hello,

Only just registered - can I join you, I'm due March 14th

Me - 34
DP - 44

love Tallie xx

leogaela · 23/08/2006 10:13

Egypt - I'm expecting twins !

It was a huge shock to start with as I was completely unprepared for it, but now I'm really happy about it ! Would be great if you are as well, it would be nice to not be the only one !

I've got that stomach wrenching worry that something is wrong at the moment, I haven't really suffered from it before in this pregnancy, I know lots of you have. I think I've been reading too much about what can go wrong with twins ! Also I haven't put on any weight yet either, infact still more than 1kg less than when I started. I guess I am expecting things to happen much quicker than they will. Time seems ot go sooooooooo slowly!

We are off to Tuscany on holiday. I'm desparate to swim in the sea ! We bought a caravan this year, not keen on towing it or the image that goes with being a caravaner but I think it will be fun and ds will love it ! I don't expect it will be quite as hot as cyprus but hopefully it will be pleasantly warm!

11 weeks today !

Piffle · 23/08/2006 10:21

Hi tallie glad you can join us

Leogeala I am sooooooo going to point you back to this post when you do start looking like you're having twins
I know far btter than to moan, oh I don't look pregnant yet
Clever money assures you, one day you will and you will moan about that too
Ain't pregnancy just great!!!

Today I feel pants btw, woke up with headache and feel rough as guts.
Am having porridge and going back to bed
The luxury, god my kids are FABULOUS
Ds's (he is 12) pocket money is almost in 3 figures

kittywits · 23/08/2006 10:26

Piffle, you're SO SO fortunate that you can go and rest. I feel so shit that I'm starting to worry that I'm depressed rather than exhausted. I never get a chance to rest until 9.30 pm, roll on the start of school.

pennygaff · 23/08/2006 10:45

Welcome Tallie11.
Ah Piffle the m/s returns, mine went away for about 4 days then returned with avengance too, Get back to bed with some snacks
LaidbackinAsia- sorry I had to laugh at your story too, I was walking one of my clients who had recently had a heart opp around a duck pond as a bit of nice outdoor excercise when I started retching. Thought I was gonna have to be lean over and be sick on the ducks, nice.

leogaela · 23/08/2006 10:53

Oh no Piffle, don't get me wrong, I really don't want to get bigger until I get back from my holiday. I want to be able to wear my summer clothes while I'm away ! Its just that with twins I expected to be growing by the minute already!

Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad today !

And you too Kittywits, I would guess you are exhausted !

Tallie11 · 23/08/2006 12:00

Thankyou for the welcome.....
I'm at work so have only quickly looked at thread - apologies if i'm ignoring anything, I will have a proper look at home tonight.

I'm 11 weeks today - I think I read someone else is too ! I haven't had a scan or seen a midwife! All booked for the 7th Sept. Bit long.

love Tallie xx

Tallie11 · 23/08/2006 13:17

Hey Leogola, I worked out my due date through a website called ''fertility friend'' -

I used to chart as it took me 3 years to get this BFP!
Take care
