Stats:

Hope I'll have more joining me very soon

I know exactly what you mean. It makes it all the more surreal 'cause you can't tell the world. People just think it's life as normal, but we know we've got this little seed inside us who's heart is going to start beating at the end of this week.

Hopecat · 02/07/2006 11:53

Morning charmed & ChaCha.

Had a lovely night last night. Told my best friend and her husband, and they're over the moon. I had a thimble-full of champagne (bad, bad, bad), but stuck to the Aqua Libra apart from that.

Made my appointment with the GP for next week. Free prescriptions and dental treatment - good stuff.

Slept for about 3 hours yesterday afternoon - missed the football. Oops.

OP posts:
charmednlb · 02/07/2006 12:18

I haven't felt sick at all yet - just exhausted.

My DH, on the other hand, is having nausea every day. Trying to steal my thunder!

Wow a March thread already!

CONGRATULATIONS Hopecat I remember you from the positive threads...you must be thrilled. Hope all goes well for you and all on this thread.

I had my dd in March 2006...now I'm pg with No.3!

Hopecat · 03/07/2006 09:08

Did my first pregnancy yoga session this morning from a book called 'Yoga for Pregnancy' by Rosalind Widdowson (pub. Hamlyn).

It's gentle, but that's good as all this ligament-loosening is a bit freaky.

Am now having a decaf latte to retox.

Any symptoms yet?

OP posts:
pinkranger · 03/07/2006 20:12

not really, boobs feel a bit heavey but i think that i have poked them so much over the last 2 weeks i have done that myself!

Have stomach cramp but apparently that is quite common for the first few months!! My main rwason was that my husband said that i didnt have PMT this month which was the give away for him as i get it bad!! im sue they will come!!

Hopecat · 03/07/2006 20:18

So happy you're here. My back size has gone from a 32 to a 36 - terrifying.

Also my nips are dark with bigger aureoles - sexy.

Good thing loose is the key look this summer.

OP posts:
pinkranger · 03/07/2006 20:37

Just went shopping yesterday aswell , but mainly for tops so that wasnt to bad , as you said loose is the in thing this year!!! - My boobs wasnt to bad last time but they suffered afterwards ,Gravity def takes effect after children !!! But im going to love every minute

pinkranger · 04/07/2006 09:33

quick question - haqve any of you had implation bleed ?

Hopecat · 04/07/2006 11:26

I haven't, but apparently they're not that common.

Why? You ok?

Apparently bleeding (spotting) is quite common early on in pregnancy.

I'm 5 weeks today. Hoorah!

OP posts:
pinkranger · 04/07/2006 13:43

Congrats on your 5 weeks -

Had slight spotting last night and this morning but it has died down now and speaking to friends family they have all had this , im not worried now that is has not got any worse !

Hopecat · 04/07/2006 15:00

That's good to hear. I'm sure it'll all settle down - it's very early days.

Exhausted today - just can't seem to get anything done.

Apparently our beanies grow alot this week, so I suppose that's why I'm so knackered.

Don't mind the heat, but wish this humidity would ease off a bit.

OP posts:
pinkranger · 04/07/2006 16:37

very warm today, im in the south east and it is cooking!!
Have my doctors booked for thursday, what do they do??

It seems so long ago with DS that i have forgot!! -

charmednlb · 04/07/2006 20:05

hello had doctors today seems real now!! she took my BP and weight gave me my notes gave me telephone numbers to ring for midwive and to book a scan she changed my EDD to the 1st but i told her the wrong day of my last period so opps!! made sure i was taking folic acid and when to stop taking it and that was about it.

Its been really hot today there it was a bit cooler this morning but this afternoon was soooooo hot at least this year i wont be pregnant in this heat i was two years ago with dd and that was very uncomfortable.

Hopecat · 04/07/2006 22:36

I'm in the southeast too PR - south london to be precise.

Whereabouts are you?

Howcome they changed your EDD to the 1st charmed? Nice having it closer to anyway.

Got my docs appt on Thursday as well. I have no idea what they do, as this is my first PG. Am I the only first-timer on this thread?

Despite all my efforts to stay cool today I've developed a heat-rash - yuck. It's lucky all this is down to pregnancy or I'd be really hacked off.

pinkranger · 05/07/2006 09:29

Hi ladies,

Have a bit of a storm here at the moment so that is quite nice. My spotting has vitually (sp) stopped which has made me happier now!!

I used to live in South East London HC, lived in greenwich for years!! Have moved out to maidstone now but i like still being driving distance to there.... Greenwich is lovley!!

I know what you mean about being big in the summer, i was preg 2002 with DS and seem to grow at an alarming rate in the summer , Everything just SWEllED!!! _ nice that we are going to haveSpring beanines!! xxx

Hopecat · 05/07/2006 10:32

It's raining here too - hooray!

Glad your spotting has stopped PR. I live Brixton way - but by a lovely park, so it's not too bad.

Greenwich is indeed lovely! We thought about buying there when we were house-hunting. Planning to stay round here for a couple more years then move out to the sticks.

Meeting a friend for lunch today. It's her 30th birthday and she's a bit sad about things, so I'm not going to tell her for a while.
