BigHotMama · 28/06/2006 11:38

Morning ladies, hope your all well!

I've just noticed my fingers have slightly swollen aswell as my ankles? All the skin on my hands feels a bit tighter than normal! Weird!
Also got a bit of a rash on top of my bump? Its not itchy or anything and the red spots are under the skin so not too worried! Anybody else got this? Oh and my bump has got mega hairy over the last few weeks - is this a sign of a boy I wonder?

Booby, I'm bit sick of the footy at the moment but as of yesterday we now have Sky so sent DH off to the bedroom for future matches while I'm watching the birthing channels - FANTASTIC!!!

Used to be really into Pringles but they give me heartburn at the moment so chocolate and ice cream and milk are at top of my list at moment...

dressedupnowheretogo · 28/06/2006 11:39

saltn vinegar discos pringles hula hoops and mc coys i love it gone off sweet stuff completely now

weather is awful and got to go dentist later can you get braces on the nhs my teeth are terrible as a vain teenager i refused them might ask
lol

PinkTulips · 28/06/2006 11:42

mr.Freezes... or rather their cheap aldi counterparts! and ice, and hot chocolate, quite often all in the one sitting! just don't seem interested in proper food anymore, was the same towrds the end with dd.

any of the other second and third timers finding themselves comparing symptoms with their other preganacies? i'm constantly saying things like 'well i definitely didn't get this til the last month with dd'. going to drive myself mad! it's not even like i want baby to come early, want to enjoy the last of the time i can spend with just dd and spoil her a little first.

Arabica · 28/06/2006 12:19

Hi everyone, sorry not been on the computer for a couple of days as it is now up in the attic and although I don't mind climbing the ladder to come up, getting down really freaks me out, so I've not been using the computer as much!
My baby also seems to enjoy the football, but then, so do I! Sounds like I am one of the few August girls who does.
Am not feeling too bad apart from the swollen ankles, feet, legs, hands, face, bottom...did have a craving for fish last week but this week it's ice-cream. Not chocolate or vanilla, things like mint, toffee, or frozen yoghurt!
eeny, glad you are OK and whoever else had a scare, sorry, I can't remember who it was--BHM maybe?
Am now 'working' on my last article before the baby but can't be bothered doing anything so am catching up with mumsnet instead!
Will this be our last thread? It might be mine, what with baby coming 27 July at the latest, and all.

eenywifemum · 28/06/2006 12:26

Hi everyone!! Hope you are all doing well. I'm fine - I got a maternity dress we bought off ebay and a P&B mag in the post today so I am pretty happy about that! Haven't tried the dress on yet so I am still nervous it wont fit but I will try it on after I post. Cross your fingers for me!

Booby I'm sorry you've been feeling down. I can relate, really. Ask Sal I have been a nightmare to be around lately. He is in meetings all day so he hasnt read the board about yet but I'm sure he will be on here later. Being in the labour room was nice but didnt help me too much as it isnt where I am booked in to have the baby - it's where I will be sent if there are any complications! So here's hoping I won't be there.

SnowBoo - I feel alright I guess, I am still bleeding (a little bit) and have been since day before yesterday. It might be a fissure and not internal piles and Sal spoke to a woman at his work who had the same thing when she was pregnant and she had to have an operation after the baby was born to fix it. I am really hoping it just resolves itself!!!

I know I have read the whole thread since my last post but I just can't get my head around what I meant to say back to everybody! Sorry I'm not trying to ignore anyone! I feel a bit dazed and confused today tbh so I am not quite with it.

eenywifemum · 28/06/2006 12:28

Arabica - I enjoy watching football but we only watch the England matches (we were watching USA too but they are out now) so I haven't had to watch more than a few... And I want frozen yoghurt too!! Do they sell it at Sainsbury's? I havent looked yet but I want to go get some.

dressedupnowheretogo · 28/06/2006 12:52

eeny as a fellow non worker are you bored and impatient i could climb the walls today please tell me you feel the same

eenywifemum · 28/06/2006 13:01

YES booby I am!!!

Firstly I cant wait for the baby to come. Secondly I am bored. I want some company!! Too bad we dont live near each other we could hang out.

PinkTulips · 28/06/2006 13:06

i'm going to strangle my landlord one of these days

every few months he rings me and announces i owe him some mad amount of money, then realises he's wrong and pisses off til a few months from now when he'll do the same thing all over.

every time he does this i have to haul out all my receipts and wade through them just to make sure i'm right and it's pissing me off now. he just did it again today and when i told him politely to piss off he's wrong he got all confused and said he'd check again and ring me in a while a monkey could keep accounts better than this man!

he did it the week before xmas last year.. rang and announced we owed him 2500, then wandered up to me outside the apartment after christmas and said 'oh, its alright i found it!', found what? 2500 euros just lying around that he hadn't noticed before!

sorry girls, completely un preg related but i'm in a rage about it and dd, dp, and the cat are all asleep on the couch so have no-one to rant to in rl!

bumble10 · 28/06/2006 13:30

hello ladeez, I'm new to this site but as i'm on fat leave at last probably will be looking in often, I'm expecting my first bambino August 12th, feel like a whale, ankles like ham shanks, a gullet which burns like the fires of hell and generally getting my head around the fact that i need to stop worrying and start getting excited about the most brilliant thing ever!!!

PinkTulips · 28/06/2006 13:33

hello bumble! do you know whether your having a boy or girl yet?

bumble10 · 28/06/2006 13:46

PinkTulips · 28/06/2006 14:07

have a little girl already and amn't planning on having more so a boy would be nice, and my dad is convinced 'he' is but not overly pushed either way, little girl would be easier as i'd be sorted for clothes!

BigHotMama · 28/06/2006 14:24

Rant away Pinky, we all need somewhere to let it all out and MN is the place! He sounds like a right tw@t!! That would do my head in for sure! cant you ignore his calls lol?

I do love watching the footy when its England but my DH insists he has to watch every single match! (yawn!)

34+3

2 weeks left at work

Hiya Bumble welcome to the madness! I'm having a surprise too although swaying towards a boy more than a girl for some reason? As long as its healthy I dont mind what we're having!

eenywifemum · 28/06/2006 14:31

Thanks Pinktulips for doing another list! There are so many babies!!! Wow! Also I am really sorry about your landlord. What a stupid man. That must be so frustrating!

Hi Bumble and welcome to the board! Congratulations!

BHM I meant to tell you earlier... I have a very good friend who is also my next door neighbour and landlady! We were out for a coffee yesterday and she said (for the millionth time) that I am a VERY LARGE PERSON. She has said this to me since before I was even pregnant. She is really petite and thin. I am 5'6" and a size 14 so I am not THAT big!! She says things like that to me a lot - she's really lovely but really posh and has no tact. I really wanted to hit her because I am feeling so insecure about how I look and my weight right now. What makes people think they can just say these things??

eenywifemum · 28/06/2006 14:33

I am 30 + 5!

Salamander · 28/06/2006 14:37

PinkTulips - that is QUITE SOME LIST

Arabica · 28/06/2006 14:40

Hi Bumble, congratulations! 40-something mums rock. Am 44 myself. (but v immature). LOL at your swollen bits--my feet are like sofa cushions!
Eeny, I think they do sell frozen yoghurt at Sainsburys--can you get me some whilst you're there, please! Your neighbour sounds a bit tactless. Am 5ft 7ins and wearing 16-18 maternity clothes so she'd probably think I was some kind of giant freak person.

beanandboo · 28/06/2006 14:55

Hi, sorry to crash like this. I'm due in August too so is it okay if I join your party? I already have a little girl (21 months)and am utterly exhausted! DD woke up screaming last night at 12 and it took me a long, long time to calm her down, somehow the little sweetheart still managed to wake up at 5 this morning though. Anyone else trying to cope with toddler plus bump?

BigHotMama · 28/06/2006 15:13

Welcome Bean! Whats your EDD and do you know what your having?

Eeny I'm 5ft 6" and am inbetween a size 16-18, people just think they can say what they like about your weight when your pg but I dont really care just think if roles were reverse I wouldnt dare tell anybody they are plump oir a big girl? I think its rude and especially when they arent skinny themselves, would love to have something to say back to them to see their reaction but just cant be arsed!

Talking about swollen bits...has anybody bits down below seem swollen? Sorry if tmi but I noticed on the toilet earlier that they seem either swollen or enlarged? (very kebab like??)
Not sure if this is normal am i a freak?

beanandboo · 28/06/2006 15:22

Hey Bighotmama! I'm with you on the swollen bits! try this \link{http://www.franklypregnant.com/askarchives.html}
The site calls this oh so pleasant condition 'cheeseburger crotch'! I'm thinking I may start a whole new thread on embarrassing pregnancy problems
BTW EDD 26th

eenywifemum · 28/06/2006 15:24

Welcome Bean! I don't have a toddler, this is my first baby, but I sympathise!

Arabica & BHM - thanks for sharing my outrage. She has said things like that to me even before I got pregnant - I love her so much I let her get away with it but it does hurt as I am pretty insecure about that sort of thing.

My cat who is HUGE just spent ages trying to sit on top of my bump while I was sitting on the sofa! Cute!

eenywifemum · 28/06/2006 15:25

BHM - meant to say I havent had this (yet) myself but I have heard swollen bits are really normal - if not nice!

beanandboo · 28/06/2006 15:27

ummm so guess that link didn't work, I'll try again.
