Sorry for so many posts! haha

Arabica meant to say I agree with BHM about the timing of the wax!! The last thing you want is sore waxed bits while you have sore c-section bits!! Do it a few days before!

aprilgirl1 · 07/07/2006 12:51

10 more minutes of work left yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

PinkTulips · 07/07/2006 12:51

aprilgirl1 · 07/07/2006 12:53

PinkTulips · 07/07/2006 12:55

have fun

YellowFeathers · 07/07/2006 12:56

Not caught up yet!

The actual move went quite smoothly considering we hadn't exchanged until the removal van was loaded!
Its just a bit weird moving somewhere new where I don't know anyone. Keep feeling really anxious.

Have seen a MW although not my own. She wanted to take blood so I had to politely tell her where to stick her needle!
The stupid hospital are insisting I go for an appt next tues because of my duplex kidney. I did explain that it hasn't caused me any problems and I've already been discharged from shared care at Barnsley but apparently I'm "High Risk", WTF??
Also go for a ward tour a week on sunday.

melsy · 07/07/2006 12:57

Awww Pucca hun , what a anxious night. How you feeling today ? Have you phoned mw ?

Yer that comment about ecs was like , errrrrr not appropriate. And who was going on about terrible pain after ???????????????????? again sooooooo appropriate.

Awww YELOOOOOOW hiya , hows the house , how was the actual move ? You online from your new home?

YellowFeathers · 07/07/2006 12:59

Yep
at home.
Got free orange wireless broadband

Promise I'll read everything and acknowledge everyone in a bit, lol!

PinkTulips · 07/07/2006 13:05

pity we weren't up pucca and we could have told her to shove off! she sounded like she's have started a lecture on vag is best if you didn't have a valid reason... cow!

eenywifemum · 07/07/2006 13:06

ooh Yellow so if you have broadband at home are you back for good and not just at a net cafe! Sorry your new hosp. seems to be a tad on the annoying side! Hope it settles down soon.

aprilgirl - congrats!!

olivo · 07/07/2006 13:14

hi yellow!
how's it going?

feeling a bit better now, have had another good bawl - lucky i have some supportive colleagues here!

back in a bit to catch up on everyone's comings and goings

muminaquandary · 07/07/2006 13:21

Arabica - I just went for a "dry run" IYSWIM of getting my bits waxed before my c-s. SEnsitive skin hurts more in the following 24 hrs, plus the heat can make it worse. Otherwise the wax in itself was fine, not as painful as I thought it would be - any hairy bits over the bump are stretched quite taut and the lower bits at the top of the pubic bone are still quite easy to get to .... so will report back when I think the skin has calmed down, that is probthe best benchmark.

Hello everyone else & sorry if TMI re my Brazilian!!!!!!

PinkTulips · 07/07/2006 13:26

ROFL, dp has just walked in from dentist after yet more fillings, one side of his face is numbed up and he can't move it so when he tries to smile he looks like elvis! am in tears laughing at him.

at least you've only got 2 weeks left olivo, then super long mat leave

YellowFeathers · 07/07/2006 13:34

I give up with the catching up

Its all getting close now isn't it!

Is anyone rock set on names now?
Have started with SPD which is quite painful. Worse when I'm in bed and I have to turn over. Sometimes have to hold my bits too which is really pleasant to witness!

After discussions with dh, he decided that the TENS machine was no use with dd so have decided not to bother but go for a water birth, although my new hospital is only a 5 bed labour ward there may be a fight for the pool!

Congrats to those finishing work. Its such a relief isnt it?

Also glad to hear you've got some great MW support booby. They sound fab!

My MW have offered to stick me on a breastfeeding course if I want but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to them so we'll see about that one.

YellowFeathers · 07/07/2006 13:47

Just wanted to share this.

Went to B&Q the other day to eye up some garden furniture and was helped by a lovely lady.
She immeadiatly spoe to dd and said "Your mummys having a little boy isn't she" No.1
Then she said
"Your due next month aren't you?"
No.2
and then said to dd
"I think your 2.5 years old"
No.3!

She then finished off all her weirdy speel with "Btw your going to have that baby at the begining of August, he won't arive on the 13th"

B&Q lady is my new best friend.

PinkTulips · 07/07/2006 13:52

wierd!

hope for your sake she's right

olivo · 07/07/2006 14:02

yellow! bizarre!

PT - you're a meany, laughing at your dp

am feeling a bit better now - and only 1 hour to go till the weekend!

PinkTulips · 07/07/2006 14:03

only fair i get my fun... he's pissed off to bed now so won't see him for the afternoon.

YellowFeathers · 07/07/2006 14:05

I've got an Elvis cassette of dh's that he plays to annoy me.
I'd be happy to post it to you

BigHotMama · 07/07/2006 14:07

Hiya Yellow! How you doing? Nice to have you back seems like you been gone forever! Hope everything went smoothly with the move.

Pucca hope you ok now chick, bet you were so worried. Let us know what MW says if you are gonna call her. Had a mad thought that we were gonna have baby No.1 for a second lol!

Olivo, its ok to blart hun, last night I'm not sure why I just felt an sudden urge build up inside me to to sob, my fat feet were the biggest yet and I couldnt get comfy on the settee and felt like I couldnt breathe. I want my baba out now as I know its only going to get worse over next few weeks! Mind you, not being at work will be a blessing, 4 more get ups and I break up! Yeah!

PinkTulips · 07/07/2006 14:48

oh good god i think dd's teething really not in the mood to cope with the hysterics right now.

aarrgghhh!

eenywifemum · 07/07/2006 15:10

oh good luck pink - doesnt sound like fun!

I'm sad as I just finished the chocolate truffles I bought yesterday. I feel so bleak, like I really dont know how I can cope without thousands more.

YellowFeathers · 07/07/2006 15:15

What do you use for it Pinky?
I can highly recommend Anbesol if you don't already use it and Ice blocks!

I've been thinking about holding a little get together for us all after the babies arrive. I know we're all over the place but out of interest who would be up for it? I was thinking of doing it at our house, so North Yorkshire.

pucca · 07/07/2006 15:16

Sorry i disapeared, went for a lie down

Pmsl @ all your comments though, made me smile must admit it was not exactly the time or place to be going on about sections, thats why my reply to her was a little short.

Still do feel a little sore, but baby moving fine, it was just really really weird and i really thought it was proper labour for a while and started to panic, not phoned MW didn't see much point really, anyway thanks everyone and hope you all ok?

pucca · 07/07/2006 15:21

Booby...Forgot to put, i am glad you are feeling a little more reassured and that you got a lovely understanding MW to talk to about it, as everyone else has said the way your baby comes in to the world is not important and your decision as long as you are happy, and happy mum = happy baby, xxx

All this talk of having a wax job is making me wince lol, i will be a chicken and go for a old fashioned shave myself before my section too scared to get my "bits" waxed lol.
