Here you go ladies

Thought I would treat you to a new thread as you lot are far too busy growing new people to do it Grin

maybe excellent news on both the hb and the tea!! I've not been cursed with indigestion yet, but drink milk before and after food, don't eat close to bedtime. Maybe your digestive system is just so shocked as its barely been used in so long.

I think the uterus doesn't come up out of the pelvis till 11-13 weeks.

Dh went off to work early, but was so quiet and I only just woke up. Amazing. My plan for today is to do absolutely nothing. :)

keep I love baby clothes. So tiny. Yes they do say one layer more than yourself, however, I just went by how his chest felt. We have quite a cold house and found ds was fine in vests and babygros/sleep suits. I used cardigans for out and about.

sweetie bump is looking fantastic. I'm 12 weeks today and I have a definite bump. It's quite small but my auntie said last night 'you can tell your pregnant' I was hoping for more time.

maybe I'm glad you were able to eat something. Hopefully this is you on the way up now. Fingers crossed for no more sickness.

In my last pregnancy I swore by tescos own indigestion tablets. They are the chewable ones, they are flavoured and work instantly. I can't take gaviscon and got so sick of the heartburn I lived with a packet everywhere.

Great news on the hb maybe

SweetieTime · 21/09/2013 11:06

I am off for my hair cutting & colouring, it is about 3 week overdue as my hairdresser had a virus when I should have gone so I gave it a miss for fear of catching anything off her. This was the soonest I could rebook and just in time for the big meet up tomorrow.

Pen you need to post some bump pictures when you are further along. I am sure your 23 year old body will ping straight back into shape unlike my geriatric almost 40 year old specimen

Keep no indigestion here either and I don't drink milk so cannot say that would be having an impact. The midwife gave me prescription for calcium and VitD but I haven't been taking them. Did you get VitD tablets?

DH has gone to take his bike to be repaired and serviced this morning. I am not sure when he thinks he will have time to go cycling when the twins come along. Men I think they live in a fantasy world.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 21/09/2013 11:13

Shock did we get spammed? What was that about?

OP posts:
ThedementedPenguin · 21/09/2013 11:22

sweetie I pinged back last time but then some how ended up putting on weight. Which I've slowly lost some. Although because of ds I have split stomach muscles so I'm not too sure how I'll manage this time but I'll cope. It's worth it.

boo did you see it? It was a very random spamming.

keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 11:44

Oops I didn't mean I do those things, but that you should if you're getting indigestion.

sweetie I've not been taking extra vit d, but its in my normal preg vitamins, so guess its ok? They gave me calcium in Thailand, I think they give to everyone as people don't eat much dairy. I spoke to mw here who said don't bother. You may need extra though for the twins, and this is the time they need it as the bones grow. I think they can test your levels somehow. Ooh, you will be glamorous for tomorrow. I won't be. Think I'll get my hair done once I stop work. No energy right now.

MrK is the opposite and thinks we won't have a chance to do anything. Maybe you can get him a trailer, pop the twins in there and send them all out for a bike ride while you relax. They'd probably love it!

keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 11:45

I didn't see the spamming. Weird.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/09/2013 11:50

'Twas random spamming, it's appeared on a couple of threads. I reported it

Sweetie maybe MrS has for some wishful thinking going on Wink. Enjoy your haircut.

I only take the pregnancy multivitamin. It has a higher level of vitamin d in it, but I'm guessing you need more Sweetie.

SweetieTime · 21/09/2013 12:35

keep I am liking the sound of a little trailer for DHs bike. I will Google, that might be MrS christmas gift sorted Wink How is your day of rest going?

Pen did you get stretch marks? If so at what stage did you get them? I have been applying my body butter on a morning and oil on an evening. I go to bed resembling a chip most nights. I am sure I won't escape them and read so much saying it is more genetic than what you can do to prevent.

Gutted I missed the spammer, I never even noticed the deleted post either.

I take the normal preggo vits too and have convinced myself that because of the nice Summer I will be ok on VitD. I try to eat other calcium stuff such as spinach and broccoli. I do eat yogurts nearly everyday so I am sure I will be fine. I have also recently been having those pots of rice pudding too. I am not sure how I can like those but not like milk but that is how it goes.

BlindKitty · 21/09/2013 13:23

keep my mum and pil knew but my dad didn't (could never quite find the words). My dad was the biggest surprise as he literally cried! Perhaps he thought were we never bothered about kids lol.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 21/09/2013 13:23

Hey lovely brookers I'm just popping by as I'm able to come to the meet up tomorrow now and just wanted to check the details as I'm not on facebook. I've posted on the ttc thread but its a bit quite there today.

I'm a bit nervous about coming tomorrow as I'm still a bit emotionally all over the place. So you'll have to forgive any craziness Smile

SweetieTime · 21/09/2013 13:37

aw cups it will be lovely to meet up in person and give you a hug. We are meeting in Starbucks in shopping centre attached to new st station at 12 tomorrow. Do you want to pm me your mobile number just in case?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 21/09/2013 13:51

Thanks Sweetie Smile ill pm you now.

keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 14:49

sweetie after you said that i went out and bought a rice pudding. But i have to say it was overly-sweet, and I much prefer home made ones. Shame I'm too lazy to bother...

no stretch marks here yet, but i've read lots of people think they've got away with it and then at 37/38 weeks - BOOM, there they are. Even though i think it's luck and genetics I have been putting loads of creams and things on too...

Finally just got my boots parenting club vouchers and things through the post. So tomorrow after the meet up i am off to stock up.

ThedementedPenguin · 21/09/2013 15:10

sweetie I was stretch mark free right up to 40 weeks. If ds came on time I probably wouldn't of that them. However, in the 11 days late they arrived, Sad

I had my belly button pierced and took it out around the 20week mark with ds so it didn't close over properly. I ended up with stretch marks just below my belly button and two above kind of like bunny ears. Grin although they have pretty much faded now. Just in time for more.

I hope you all have a great time tomorrow. Although don't be coming back with private jokes, etc. Smile

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/09/2013 15:56

Cups lovely, you'll have a lovely time tomorrow. Brookers are the best and will be sure you cheer you up. Gutted I can't come and see you x

Sparks has just put up that Starbucks is no longer. So I think bells italia is the new meeting place Smile

Good news about the vouchers Keep. What you going to buy?

keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 16:14

I have a long list maybe - basically lots of things that we'll need to take in to the hospital (breat pads, nipple cream, maternity pads, nappies, cotton wool, some toiletries). Then I'm going to go to primark too to get some cheap big knickers. Oh it's all too glamorous and sexy!

How are we going to recognise each other....?

Bumpiemalumpie · 21/09/2013 16:26

Knock, knock, may I come in? Haven't really joined an Ante-natal group yet as EDD ranges from Jan to Feb!!

Just wanted to feel part of something really and after some support after our 20 week scan yesterday where we were told baby has a single artery in the cord not dual. Has anyone else got this or heard of it?

You all sounds at different stages, anyone else 20.6??

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 21/09/2013 16:34

Hi Bumpie come on in and take a seat. We're a bit quiet over here on the weekend. What a worry for you to be told that, have they said what this means for you and baby Bumpie?

OP posts:
Bumpiemalumpie · 21/09/2013 16:37

Hi, thank you, will sit on my ball if that is ok.

The ultra sound lady said that the remaining artery has grown bigger to compensate. They have asked me to come back at 34 weeks for a growth scan to make sure but she also said that in a few years, she doubts they will even look for it as it is quite common.

When googling, it seems the most common complication is a small baby but there are risks of chromosomal abnormalities, defects and possible still birth. Am now trying to give Google a wide birth!!

Wanted other's experiences really but also to enjoy the ante-natal part!!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 21/09/2013 16:41

I have never heard of it but one of the others might have (I think they're all out shopping at the mo Wink) tell us a bit about yourself, I'm Boo I have 3 dc, teen boo, Toddly boo and baby boo who is nearly 5 months but I can't bare to leave the thread so I just sort of hang about like a weird friend who won't take the hint Grin

OP posts:
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 21/09/2013 16:42

Oh, and please step away from Dr Google, he does no good!!

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 16:47

Hi bump and welcome! I have heard of that but don't know much. If they aren't seeing you until 34 weeks then I assume they aren't too worried about growth or anything, else you'd be seen much more frequently. This is a lovely place to hang out as we're all at different stages and there aren't so many of us like on the AN clubs. I've tried to update you on where we are below - hope it's right everyone. Then there's boo, who's got her baby now, but is here to keep us calm and give us her wisdom as all of the rest of us except penguin are first timers. Do you have any children already?

Keep 30+1, edd 29/11 with kip
Sweetie 25+4 With dib and dab due December
Trix 23+0 with Treats due 18th January
Solars 18 weeks+4, due 18 Feb
Maybe 13+5 due March 24th with Fin.
penguin 12+0 due on 5th April with pingu
Blindkitty 5+3 with kitten, 1st scan 1st oct

keepitgoing · 21/09/2013 16:49

only online shopping going on here boo! I'm too lazy for anything else. It's amazing how the days can fly by any you've done nothing... There was me planning to make soup, cake, stew. And all i've done is go out to buy some milk and a rice pudding...
