Thought I would treat you to a new thread as you lot are far too busy growing new people to do it Grin

Trix joggers here too. I have talked DH where I keep my clothes just in case I am in a few days.

Maybe I will have big sunglasses handy in case paps are hanging about Wink

ThedementedPenguin · 14/11/2013 19:29

I have just caught up but I honestly can't remember much of what I read or who said it.

I haven't noticed whether I've been crying more. It's probably a no then. Although I do well up a lot at movies.

Re: hospital bag. I had way too much stuff with me, although I didn't have enough sleep suits/vests with me. I had to send Dp out for more. I'm hospital I just used a strap top and pj bottoms. Very comfy.

I used wipes straight away, I never bothered with the faff of cotton wool balls. I seen other women using them and I just couldn't imagine doing it.

I can't believe I'm almost half way. This past 8 weeks have flew.

I seen the most amazing Moses basket today, although it was £100 so I can't imagine ever getting it but it was gorgeous. Can't wait to find out what I having so I can buy some things Smile

cartoontrickster · 14/11/2013 19:44

ooooo pen can you link the Moses basket?

ThedementedPenguin · 14/11/2013 19:54

trix it looked like this but the basket was white.

Hope the link works.

ThedementedPenguin · 14/11/2013 19:56

This is the white

Evening all, reading back and very jealous loving all the planning for the impending births :) we didn't have a moses this time, we hardwood for C but he was such a chunky monkey he was only in it for a couple of weeks, so for K we had a crib, lovely swinging crib that was fine until a few weeks ago.

Well you all sound very organised with your bags, classes and stuff :)

OP posts:
ThedementedPenguin · 14/11/2013 20:13

boo I already have a crib. It's great. For our room.

Although with having ds already we have very little room in the living room which is why I want a Moses basket as it will be a lot smaller than having the travel cot up in the living room.

I can't remember who is doing pregnancy yoga, but do you enjoy it? There's a class near me and I'm thinking of joining.

cartoontrickster · 14/11/2013 20:16

pen I had a feeling that was the one you seen. its dhs favorite, it really is lovely.
my grandma is buying us a Moses basket so have no idea what we are getting.

cartoontrickster · 14/11/2013 20:19

I do yoga (well I've been to 2 classes). I do enjoy it. a friend of a friend said they found it really helped them in labour too.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/11/2013 20:22

I do yoga too Pen, I love it. Ours is very much like proper yoga and then she adapts positions for those that can't reach them. I find it really relaxing, and it gives me a great stretch.

We have a crib Boo, it's a gliding one. I'm getting quite excited.

Solars · 14/11/2013 21:50

Those Moses baskets are too cute Pen we still haven't decided about crib, Moses basket or one of those beside the bed cribs or potentially using the prams carry cot even?? I've just finished our antenatal yoga course, which I would recommend as it's nice and relaxing and will also give a bit of you time too, to bond with the baby.

I'm quite likely to be joining the joggers crew upon leaving the hospital Grin but I don't think I'll rely on MrS to bring me clothes if I need extra, I'll have to leave a pile out for that scenario as I'm sure he'll have me dressed in something that probably doesn't fit anymore and inappropriate you're lucky Sweetie you can talk your DH through where things are, unless it's work or cricket or golf related MrS will not remember!!

I can feel your excitement Maybe!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 14/11/2013 23:52

Aaw I wish I was back with you all, the excitement of getting everything ready. I remember dressing the crib for the first time, little sheet, little bumper, little blankets and then wondering who would be in it :)

Happy days!!!!

trix it is a lovely Moses basket. The local shop near me is doing it at £95.95 including stand.

I'm waiting on info on the pregnancy yoga but I think I will do it. Think I'll enjoy it.

I think I've lost it. I've been telling people I'm a week behind what I am. Thought I was only coming 19 week tomorrow but I'll be 20 weeks. Don't know how I got so behind.

boo what are you getting dc for Christmas? I've got ds the bounce and spin zebra but can't come up with anything else.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 15/11/2013 10:23

We have got C a play guitar to go with his birthday drum kit Grin we're just getting K lots of little things, we have so much left from having C she doesn't need much. Teen boo won't be having much, he turns 16 next week and is getting an I pad.

Just put K's bedside crib up for sale, feeling sad :( can't believe she's so big now.

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 15/11/2013 10:31

boo are you tempted to come back and join us?!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 15/11/2013 10:34

I would love to, but we haven't got enough house, car or money :( Plus DH thinks he's getting a bit old and my last pregnancy was quite tough for the last few months. However, I'm not too old, J won't live at home forever Wink

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 15/11/2013 12:29

do it boo Grin
when should I buy a nursing bra? is it too soon to get one now?
what is everyone get dh/dp for Xmas? I'm a bit stuck!

RubberBullets · 15/11/2013 12:40

Your boobs can change in size quite a lot when your milk comes in. I just got 1 initially and then got more when I knew what I needed. Just please make sure if you get fitted that you go somewhere decent i.e. not mothercare or m&s as they are crap and will put you in the wrong size. Wearing the wrong size can increase the chance of mastitis and you want to avoid that at all costs

SweetieTime · 15/11/2013 12:41

Solars we intend to use the pram carry cots initially and then a travel cots by our bed, I have bought a proper mattress for it. I know it is slightly different as we need to sleep two. My MrS is a bit hopeless too, I will probably leave some clothes out if I get chance just in case. I dread to think what he would bring for me. I totally know where you are coming from.

Boo another miniboo would be lovely. You are a very brave parent getting C a guitar to go with his drum kit - do these things come with ear plugs for parental sanity?

Trix I have no idea what to get DH for Christmas. I am really struggling but want to get it sorted soon because I know I won't have time when twins come along. It was his birthday earlier this week so that used up all the ideas I had.

cartoontrickster · 15/11/2013 12:49

men are useless at picking out clothes, do not trust them with it!
I'm thinking house of Fraser or bravissimo. i shall be shopping at bluewater this weekend and have always had good experiences buying bras in the hof there, my local one is a bit rubbish so I guess its hit and miss. would never let anyone near me at m&s, fine if you know your size and can fit yourself though. I think I need an e or f cup so I'm guessing shops like mother care don't go up to that size.

cartoontrickster · 15/11/2013 12:52

sweetie I hate buying for men. dh had his birthday in Oct so had lost of the bits I could think of then. we are supposed to be saving but I want to get something nice .

RubberBullets · 15/11/2013 12:53

Nursing bras can fit a bit funny too. Bravissimo put me in a 36K nursing bra and I bought a 34H normal bra on Monday. You are lucky to have somewhere decent near you, I have to travel out of county to find a good shop and my 'local' Bravissimo is in Wales! That is a long way from Cornwall...

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 15/11/2013 12:58

Sweetie you're having 2 babies, surely that's enough for Mr S? If he wants something to unwrap on Christmas morning then can do nappy duty Grin

cartoontrickster · 15/11/2013 13:00

god rubber how inconvenient! its so hard to buy bras online to. I am lucky there's good shops fairly close to home and if were at the in-laws in Kent I usually go to lakeside or Bluewater.
I measured myself at home (mn method) a week or so ago and I'm slap bang in the middle of 2 sizes band and cup. so if nursing bras are weird anyway I literally have no idea what size to pick up.

ThedementedPenguin · 15/11/2013 13:02

trix they go up to an f in mothercare I think. I got fitted there the other day as I was in completely the wrong size.

The woman measured me, said I was one size brought in bras in a different size then left. Luckily I brought my mum and she brought me the right ones. I then fitted myself.

Although when pregnant with ds the woman that fitted me in mothercare was excellent.

Although I'm very limited with bra measuring places. The choice is m&s, mothercare or debenhams. They are all a bit shit.

I haven't a clue what to get Dp. He is awful to buy for and gives me no help.
