No, it was nice but I just don't think I'd want a key ring with the picture on... Also I had it at 20 weeks, think it'd be much better later.

keepitgoing · 19/09/2013 19:03

The 12 week one is quite like an alien.... :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/09/2013 19:36

I think they are pretty cool. But I'm with Keep I don't want it on a keyring Grin

I'll definitely be having one though. If nothing but to see how like the scan they are in real life Wink

cartoontrickster · 19/09/2013 19:36

no well they do it from 22wks, at least they dp at the one near me. I would have it at more like 30wks+ I think to get the best out of it. they do 4d.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/09/2013 19:52

The clinic here says it's best between 28-32 weeks. I think once they're over 32 weeks they are starting to get too big to scan properly iyswim?

cartoontrickster · 19/09/2013 19:54

ah really I thought my one did it till further along than that maybe but I get what you mean. hmmm can't make my mind up. should be saving my pennys really.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/09/2013 20:30

I reckon every clinic is different Trix! I say go for it

Solars · 19/09/2013 20:43

Our clinic does it between 24-34 weeks and says the ideal time is at 27 weeks. Yes Trix go for it! I'm also doing it to get another scan in

BlindKitty · 19/09/2013 20:48

penguin thank god for that!!! This waiting is driving me crazy!!!

maybe how come you're not allowed to lie on your back?

keep solars I'm 5+1 Grin. Tmi but its more like a small amount of brown tinged discharge. It hasn't buggered off yet though grr

trix I think my boobs are slightly sore...maybe. I feel like a fraud!

BlindKitty · 19/09/2013 20:50

Today was really difficult with my mates as i was dying to tell them! Was just leaving and they were all like 'you're not yourself tonight, etc'. Oh and they were trying to get me to go kayaking lol x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/09/2013 20:56

When the baby is a certain size, if you lie on your back too long it can squash your vena cava. But I shall sleep easier tonight knowing I can sleep however I like for now Smile

It's hard keeping quiet isn't it?! Not long and you can shout it from the roof tops Grin

keepitgoing · 19/09/2013 21:20

Nothing wrong with kayaking kitty, I did in Thailand!

BlindKitty · 19/09/2013 21:50

keep I'm too scared to even go to yoga atm so I think kayaking is definitely out for me!

keepitgoing · 19/09/2013 22:15

I think kayaking is less strenuous than yoga, or less on the tummy anyway. But I know what you mean :)

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/09/2013 22:19

Evening all, how's it going? Just popping in to say Kitty brown means its old blood, probably from all the rummaging about they did. Don't worry

Tis Toddly boo's birthday tomorrow (party next week) can't believe my little man is 4 Shock

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/09/2013 22:28

Oh Boo he must be so excited!! What time will he have you up in the morning?!

Kitty brown is fine. It may well last a while, but try not to worry. Yoga is fine to carry on with, You can arsey on as normal if you're used to it Smile

Has anyone done any antenatal yoga classes? I really want to do some yoga or Pilates. I can't wit to have some energy back for the gym!

Good news is, I managed a bit of food!! Whoop!

ThedementedPenguin · 19/09/2013 22:30

I'm undecided about the 3d/4d scans. In a way I'd like to see baby like that and I think this could be my last pregnancy so I might never get a chance again. Strange thinking that at 23 I might be done. Kind of sad.

kitty it's so hard keeping it a secret. I gave in, in the end. Every time I seen my mum I was dying to tell her. I think I lasted a week without telling her. How crap am I? Grin

boo I can't ever imagine my ds being 4. Hope he has a good day and gets spoilt rotten.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/09/2013 22:41

Maybe you had food Grin I'm so pleased for you GrinGrin that's great!!

Pen 4 is ok for my lovely DS, the scary bit comes when you know that my smelly grumpy lovely pfb will be 16 in about 8 weeks ShockGrin

He certainly will be spoilt!! That's what birthdays are for Grin then he has his party on the 29th, he is beside himself with excitement for it all, he also has 5 parties to go to before the end of October I'm a little jealous of his social life BlushWink

BlindKitty · 20/09/2013 07:39

boo yeh I'm not as worried as I was before. Just need to see the scan now so I can see everything is ok. Just hoping they will actually see a heartbeat as heard done people have to go back a few weeks later with it being early

maybe as soon as this spotting does one I'm at yoga! Massively missing it! Then I might consider going back to the gym but for now I've frozen it. Well done with having something to eat! maybe it's going????

penguin we've told our parents but no one else yet

cartoontrickster · 20/09/2013 08:19

I am soo unfit. my walk to work is about half hour and I get a lift home. I've only walked twice this week got a lift in the other days. I'm finding that I get a stitch like pain to the side of my bump and am getting out of breath. the walk to work is the only excercise I get now.

SweetieTime · 20/09/2013 08:29

Maybe well done on the food. My reflexologist said I should try yoga now too for breathing. I am a bit worried I might not be able to get up from the mat though. I used to go to Pilates before diffed so I will see what is on offer locally.

Boo sounds like ToddlyBoo is a bit of a social butterfly, bless him. I am not surprised he is super excited.

Trix I am really unfit too, I used to walk our dog but since we moved house I just leave it to DH unless he can not do it then I take her but very infrequently.

Kitty not sure if you are a knicker checker, but I realised I am still a knicker checker at 25 weeks!!!

I have posted a fresh bump picture in my profile if anyone wants a nosy. I don't know how to rotate it, if anyone knows let me know, otherwise try not to give yourselves cricky necks.

SweetieTime · 20/09/2013 08:29

Forgot to say our nursery furniture has just arrived - OMG it is getting very real now!!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 20/09/2013 08:43

Looking good Sweetie!

Toddly boo is currently sat behind his drum kit working out his rhythm Grin

Solars · 20/09/2013 08:51

Woo hoo food Maybe. I'm using a pregnancy yoga DVD at the moment and staring classes in October. They run them in 6week sessions here and I missed out on the first one this session so thought I'd start the next lot. If its any good I'll keep the classes going otherwise I'll continue to use my DVD which gives lots of breathing techniques as well.

Kitty glad to hear you're not worrying too much. How many weeks will you be at your first scan? We saw a heartbeat at 6+1 so hoping you will too.

Yay on the furniture Sweetie

How much longer are you at work for Keep?

Pen oh to be 23 again! I wish I had started much sooner with kids I may have finished by now but I'm just starting out!

Good luck with the party Boo

I feel quite unfit too Trix the yoga is very gentle, I do try and use the bike when I can remember but as one of my cousins keeps saying to me, let yourself go and enjoy your pregnancy, worry about your body after you've given birth Hmm

keepitgoing · 20/09/2013 09:22

sweetie you look great. I might try and put one up of my 30 week bump later today if i can manage it. we also have a fair amount of stuff now, and it's quite odd having it around the house, as i still feel like it's a bit of a game.

maybe I really really hope that this is your turning point. Woo hoo on the food!!

boo toddlyboo is 4?! Not really toddly any more then, i imagine... Are you doing him a super duper cake, or doing what i'll probably do and buying one at tesco's.

pen i didn't realise you're only 23. I know what you mean about wondering if you'll do it again. Who knows if we'll manage it again, though I do so hope so, so I am just trying to enjoy it as much as I can while it lasts.

trix that could possibly be braxton hicks that you're getting. Just slow down a bit but do keep up with the walking. It's not so much to keep your body trim, but to keep you fit an healthy which will make the pregnancy easier and the birth easier too. Half an hours walk a day would be plenty.

I am just doing my exercise DVDs - again, offering the earlier months out to anyone who wants them - and doing the odd walk. But now I'm working I have less time and to be honest can't be arsed going to classes in the evenings etc. If i do the DVD at home it takes 40 mins. If i go out to a class it's probably 2 hours end to end...

solars I have another 6 weeks after today. Not a lot, especially considering the amount I have to do. But hey ho. It's a bit weird as I guess most people would be winding down, but I am gearing up really, was a bit of a slow start in the job but won't be over the next few weeks. Luckily DH is an absolute star.

We wrote our birth plan yesterday. Short and sweet in the hope they'll actually read it I assume that things won't go to plan, so only have on there the things I am really set about, which isn't much really.

Am so looking forward to seeing some of you on Sunday. My job for after we meet, or before perhaps, is to purchase things for the hospital bag. Eek.

kitty I think you'll be 7 weeks at the scan, or almost? I think that is pretty likely that you'll see the HB. It tends to be around the 6 week mark that's a bit more hit and miss, which is precisely why some clinics wait, as it causes a huge amount of distress if you can't see it, and it could just be for the sake of a couple of days. I find it incredible that the heart starts beating so early. Lovely that you've told your parents. Did they know you'd been trying and having problems?
