I'm hoping that you lovely and knowledgeable ladies can give me some advice. I'm going pregnancy bra shopping and wanted to know where is best to go to get measured. I've not heard very good things about m&s, but are debenhams or house of Fraser any good? Thanks lovelies!

Also, changed my scan date to 12th September. Will be 12 + 4 or 13 + 5 depending on whether I go by dates or the early scan, neither of which is hugely reliable in my case! Will keep you posted, naturally

justmuddling I hada good experience being measured at Bravissimo when I actually had boobs (the smallest they do is D cup).

Right. Maternity bras: I don't believe good ones exist. I have just been bespoke fitted at a posh lingerie shop in Manchester and I have still been left with that unsupported, unconstructed barmaid cleavage. Horrid but comfortable. No way are these bras made for big heavy tits. Where is the decent strappage and backage? I am not buying any more, I will simply keep getting fitted for my usual lovely black bras (unless I can hunt down an underwired maternity bra which separates and lifts properly. Any suggestions?)

Oh buggeration, that's not good news, pram! I'm normally a D cup, so was feeling a little dubious about the supportive qualities of anything non-underwired, as it is. Jo hum. Still, where were you measured, and were they any good?

Just, I went to Boux Avenue in Selfridges. I am normally a D-cup but have gone up two cup sizes to an E. My back has increased by two inches.

I can't find maternity bras small enough The smallest I've seen are C cups which are a fat lot of good for my A cups. My bras are starting to get tight so I'm pondering buying some plain old non-wired ones for now and hope that my cleavage inflates enough to fill a maternity bra at some point!

..the one I got measured for is also a breastfeeding one where the flap unclips to allow nip access.

I got some maternity bras in mothercare. I've gone up a back size but stayed the same cup. Well, I probably have gone up a cup too, but in nice bras they don't do humongous cup sizes!! I'm so much more comfy without the underwire. My boobs have really changed shape, very round

i'm about to go for a haircut, my pregnancy hair has taken my dark brown dye a little too well and now i look like morticia addams x a mop

I'm wearing the most horrific maternity bra at the moment. I was an H before pregnancy. It's now easier to just refer to them as comedy tits. The bra doesnt separate anything so I'm constantly hauling them apart so they don't look like a single globular mass. And oh good jesus, the cleavage sweat... (far tmi, I know)

If another busty lady knows a place I can get measured AND buy a maternity bra that treats my boobs as 2 separate entities, I'd greatly appreciate it.

joll I'm also an H. Haven't gone to get maternity bras yet though. I might admit defeat in a few weeks and go shopping for maternity wear and bras.

Mummypig they can't take the pace of life at home with the kids; when I was in bed all weekend vomiting, DH actually seemed quite relaxed, but when I said on Monday I thought I'd be able to get up he was like "THANK GOD!!!!!!!! I'M A BROKEN MAN!!!" Haha welcome to our world! He truly looked destroyed. Bless him.

Hello! Just had the first part of my Harmony test. The wee one was kicking and dancing about like mad. So lovely to see. Got to go back in two weeks for the results and the proper nuchal scan - Friday 13th, ooer! But everything looking good so far. Happy days. :)

pirates he confessed that he's in a bad mood, not because of anything I've done and he shouldn't have taken it out on me. I appreciate the apology. He said he feels like everyone takes advantage of us! Next door came over yesterday, said her freezer broke and could she store her meat in ours till she gets a new one in a few days. He's mad because she doesn't pay her bills (she told me she doesn't pay gas, electric or tv licence) just because she doesn't want to, or thinks she can't afford it, so he said she should be able to buy a new freezer.

Also my dad is being a twat. He's an alcoholic and treats his family like crap. It's his birthday tomorrow and I asked him over for Chinese but when I asked him today if he was still coming he was evasive so he's obviously not coming and has better things to do with his alkie friends. So dh is cross with the way he treats me.

Anyway I had better get on with making the kids tea!

I'm ok thanku - dealing with the death of someone & trying to support their family. It's very hard.

Was it Lottie who was at a funeral today - I hope it went ok.

On a completely different note - my non undersides bras are from debenhams. They're very comfy. Not maternity bras, just non underwired. I'm a d cup - they had a range is sizes. Marks and Spencer's was awful. Worst bras ever!!!

And my lovely neighbour is having a clear out - she's given me some maternity jeans - omg they're lovely!!!

I can't look and see who had their scan on the 13th - me 2!! It seems like ages away, but hopefully the next couple of weeks will go quickly & then I can see the baby again!!
