Good luck for today's scanees!

If you take my weight at my scan last week as gospel, it would appear that I've put on a rather hefty 3.5kg in the first trimester Shock However, my starting weight was taken myself in my not terribly accurate WiiFit and I weighed myself in my undies first thing in the morning (pre-breakfast). My weight at 12 weeks was taken on fancy hospital digital scales, fully clothed and just after lunch! So I'm sure that gave for an inaccurate result!

Lottie345 · 29/08/2013 10:24

Good luck today scanees. I'm desperately putting off going to work. So tired still. Best get a shifty on as I'm going to be super late!

FoxMulder · 29/08/2013 10:46

I like the look of that pillow, but not sure I need any encouragement to spend any more time in bed! I'm already sleeping 12 hours a night + 3 hours in the afternoon!

I'm definitely looking into these strawberry multi vits though! Wish I'd heard about this sooner, I had no idea there was anything other than standard pregnacare/sanatogen etc. which I can't swallow! Bugger.

HamwidgeAlive · 29/08/2013 11:00

Good luck for scans today Maybe and Pram!

Mummypig my sickness has just got worse at 14 weeks. Been in bed all week unable to keep anything down. Thoroughly fed up!

Moose that sounds really frustrating about your BMI. You don't look unhealthy, your figure matches your frame (which is tiny!)

Fruit that was my LMP too! I don't want yo be induced too early if I go overdue.

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2013 11:47

Hamwidge, that's my problem too. I don't want the CS too early because of their dates, which I know to be wrong.

Good luck to all scannees Smile

MummyPig24 · 29/08/2013 11:49

I am looking forward to seeing some nice scan pics today. 2 days till I get to see my little Nando!

I look about 6 months pregnant today and have to see all of the school mums at a birthday party so I'm sure some whispers will be circulating, frustraiting that I'm so close to being able to tell people (if all goes well onsaturday) but I can't say anything yet so will have to let people draw their own conclusions. Either I've totally overdone it on holiday ice creams, or I'm up the duff!!

PramQueen1971 · 29/08/2013 13:41

Aw! This has truly been the happiest day of my life so far Prambino is gorgeous with the most powerful leg-kicking frog action! Our date has been moved to 1st March making me 13+5 today. Thank you, God, for this miraculous gift Smile

PramQueen1971 · 29/08/2013 13:42

How did you go on, Marbie? xx

mimili · 29/08/2013 13:43

Aww pram what a lovely post! Congrats!

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2013 13:53

Do happy for you, Pram. Did OH go with you?

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2013 13:55

So, not do. Stupid iPhone.
You know you'll have to name this baby Prambino now, don't you?

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2013 13:58

I had a long listen to my hyperactive baby today with the doppler. There's a lot of activity going on in there. I could hear kicks and his heartbeat kept moving around, which means he's flipping around all over the place in there.

Invest in a doppler, ladies. It's so nice to listen in whenever you want.

Jolleigh · 29/08/2013 14:02

Pram - as our IVF conception, I was banking on you being the lady expecting twins. Now I'm getting even more nervous that it's me Confused . Congrats hun Grin .

I now have my scan date...1 week today. Same place as my booking in yesterday. Have made an executive decision that if I see yesterday's snotty cow of a midwife, I'm going to dance down the corridor while singing "belly's gonna get ya!"

FoxMulder · 29/08/2013 14:16

Congrats Pram, lovely news.

There's lots of posters up in the local ante-natal unit warning against using dopplers. Maybe they've had lots of freaked out women coming in who couldn't find a heartbeat when everything was fine!

FrankelInFoal · 29/08/2013 14:16

Congratulations Pram Grin

Surely the law of averages says we must have at least one set of twins in amongst all our Martians!

FoxMulder · 29/08/2013 14:17

Yeah, but an average is just an average.

commsgirl · 29/08/2013 14:18

Who else still hasn't had a scan? I'll be really surprised if there's no twins!

Jolleigh · 29/08/2013 14:19

I haven't yet comms

Jolleigh · 29/08/2013 14:20

Does anyone know how many of us are on the thread?

rescoonetwothree · 29/08/2013 14:22

no idea! we should probably do a recount at some point! I've also seen a lot of people in preg forum who haven't joined here so maybe it's one of them!

FoxMulder · 29/08/2013 14:25

I just had a very scary walk. First there was a field full of scary cows that nearly trampled me, then a very scary farm dog that tried to kill me, then a massive tractor that nearly ran me over. I was only out for 20 minutes.

Jolleigh · 29/08/2013 14:26

Just thinking if twins account for 1 birth in 90 but there aren't 90 of us, I can stop worrying it's me! Wink

PramQueen1971 · 29/08/2013 14:46

Thank you, girls. Jolls, I knew at the six-week scan that there was only a singleton in there. 1 in 100 women have twins, on average.

PramQueen1971 · 29/08/2013 14:48

Lyra, I've fretted so much in this trimester that I don't want to rely on technology any more for reassurance. I feel I really need to start learning to sit with the anxiety rather than rushing off for reassurance scans and listening for heart beats on Dopplers. I hope this makes sense as I am not judging anyone who feels the need for them.

Jolleigh · 29/08/2013 15:04

Think I'm with Pram on the doppler front. I'd absolutely shit myself if I couldn't find anything and chances are I'd be working myself up for nothing. I've not had s reassurance scan or anything like that either.
