Haha I love the inbetweeners it's hilarious. I believe they are making inbetweeners 2 movie...it makes me laugh everytime I watch an episode Grin

claphammama · 24/08/2013 22:57

I will have two boys flyer... it scares me Grin

FoundAChopinLizt · 24/08/2013 22:57

Re next thread name, have you had

Are we nearly there yet?

before?

claphammama · 24/08/2013 22:59

ps. justt watched Nine Months on E4. Feeling very emotional. Have seen it about 10 times I think

Flyer747 · 24/08/2013 23:00

Me too....how cute is that baby at the end...I love chubby babies with fat cheeks Grin

MotherOfNations · 24/08/2013 23:05

Yes Char1eston I had the amnio. My consultant refused to do the blood test and give me the odds as they would be so unbelievably high based on my scan alone. I hope everything turns out ok for your friend. I know only too well how she must be feeling.

claphammama · 24/08/2013 23:06

so cute! and yes, the chubby cheeks are adorable. I want to bite them all the time (and no, I wasn't biting my DS... just a bit Grin)

And remember this scene when he reads "what to expect?". I just looked at DP and seethed... "you never read anything, you haven't read anything". He said "I knew the moment I saw it that you were going to say it!". Of course I was!!

legallyblond · 24/08/2013 23:07

I love the inbetweeners too! Yes Clapham, it would take 16 hours I think... DH is one of those people who simply cannot fly (he has no other fears, just that one - its claustrophobia rather than the actual flying) so is driving Shock...

I have my parents nearby if I need them, but I am usually reluctant to call on them more than necessary, as I prefer to stand on my own two feet!

Flyer747 · 24/08/2013 23:13

Same here Clapham, saying that I bought "what to expect when expecting" for myself and its still in my bed side cabinet unread.

Supposed to have Nct today however it was 9-1pm and we over slept and missed it. Had missed call and text off instructor asking if I was ok, I had to lie and said 'sorry I have a tummy bug' Shock couldn't bring myself to tell her we are a pair of wasters who can't get out of bed before 9am.

claphammama · 24/08/2013 23:15

He needs our flyer to cure him of his fear! Good you have your parents nearby. I'm the same and don't like to ask for help but I'm sure your parents would be delighted to help on this occasion. But fingers crossed they stay in! I imagine you must feel uneasy so close to the D day... My DP may still have to go to HK in 2-3 of weeks but is trying to get out of it as we have no family here to help in emergencies... a lot will depend on our Tuesday scan and whether my placenta has gone up or turned in placenta previa. So nerve racking when they have to go so far at this stage. All my fingers and toes crossed for you xx

Flyer747 · 24/08/2013 23:20

Fingers crossed for good news on Tuesday Clapham.

Legally would your dh consider trying a Valium or temazepam for his fear?

claphammama · 24/08/2013 23:21

haha flyer trust me, 9am will feel like midday and unattainable luxury soon!

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/08/2013 05:06

Sigh. Hello again 5am Hmm

Natalieand · 25/08/2013 07:19

Morning all will catch up shortly but just been for morning wee and I have a small (very small) kind of amount u would get from nicking your leg with a razor amount of brown blood in my knickers which has obviously happened overnight. There wasn't anything when I wiped this morning though I'm not in pain as such but have a very tender/bruised feeling area on the left hand side where your pubic hair would end. I don't wanna dramatically rush into hospital but I'm panicking a bit about it and dh is just like 'you'll be fine' .... Do I just wait and see if anymore comes

OrangeBlossom2 · 25/08/2013 07:44

Could little bit of blood and tenderness be from dtd Natalie?
Is it mucousy?

Brown blood is usually ok but always worth giving your midwife or assessment unit a ring if you are worried. From what I remember you seem to have a good relationship with MW.

Natalieand · 25/08/2013 07:47

orange the blood has dried so not mucusy, and I can't actually remember when we last dtd lol. I do have a good relationship with my midwife so I think I'll leave it a bit then give her a text as its a Sunday morning and I'm not currently bleeding xx

OrangeBlossom2 · 25/08/2013 08:12

I am sure it will be fine Nat but definitely check for your piece of mind.

DH gone to play golf with his dad and brother today, I think I am going shopping with mil. Currently having a lay in, haven't slept well last couple of nights.

Anyone else keep getting numb hands?

Shirehobbit · 25/08/2013 08:24

I do overnight, orange with nasty pins and needles.

I hope you get some reassurance, natalie.

Nice, quiet day planned here with dog walking while DH plays football followed by some sofa time watching the F1/triathlon on tv (bit of a sports addict household).

Natalieand · 25/08/2013 08:27

orange I'm not getting numb hands but u no my friend so is also due in October the other day commented she kept loosing feeling in hers

Have text the midwife so now to wait for a reply. Thanks shire x

Natalieand · 25/08/2013 08:33

Midwife just called and said it sounds ok as it is but if there is anymore then too call her back, but after further inspection of said underwear it looks as tho the blood was red but has now gone brown from drying. I'm just gunna take my notes out with my today as were going shopping but in the opposite direction to my hospital so if necessary I can just go to the near by hospital. Ugh pregnancy is so stressful

Pinkforboys · 25/08/2013 08:46

Nat i hope all is ok. There are loads of perfectly innocent reasons for having a little blood, but it's always good to be prepared in case it gets worse rather than disappears. It could have just been a burst capillary due to pressure from baby. Fx

orange I sometimes get numb hands- I've put it down to my bad circulation this pg. I end up shaking my arms like a loon and stomping around to get it going again.

I've got the lovely task of going thru DS's baby stuff today with my Mum. DH finally found them in one of our many hiding places. Trouble with having a small house is that we've ended up storing things in various other family lofts/basements and can never remember what's where! I'm expecting a few tears....

Soupqueen · 25/08/2013 08:53

Fingers crossed nat

char1eston, I had an amnio too. My scan was fine but my blood tests were not. The amnio itself wasn't too bad - its all the worry before and after. Because of the blood results, I also had an early "20" week scan at 18 weeks to check for other problems and I've had 4 weekly scans since then as I'm at increased risk of early placenta failure, intra uterine growth restriction and pre eclampsia. Not the most stress free pregnancy but so far so good. Fingers crossed for your friend.

legally, my DH is the same with claustrophobia. Fingers tightly crossed the twins stay nice and cosy inside.

legally, what little shits! I was running with a friend a few years ago, at about 6pm, twilight, not dark and we had fireworks chucked at us. I do worry about having a teenager....

I'm going to have reflexology too. Because of the above issues, they're not happy with me going beyond 40 weeks (if I get that far) and I'd really like to go into labour naturally and hopefully avoid an induction drip.

I got my raspberry leaf tea from a local health food shop, it's the loose herb, DH reckons it looks like it should have a street value Shock

orange, could it be carpal tunnel syndrome?

We're meeting DH's aunt and her partner for brunch today - they're the first family I'll see since I've been pregnant, they're lovely so it should be good fun.

textbook · 25/08/2013 09:00

Hope everything is ok Nat, I'm sure it's fine but you're right to take your notes out I think.

I am envious of all the relaxing days planned - it's dd's 6th birthday tomorrow, so today we are having 20 of her friends for a party at her gymnastics club Shock obviously I can't lift anything and have to take it v easy, but that doesn't excuse me from sandwich-making duty this morning...

Wish me luck!

xuntitledx · 25/08/2013 09:29

Good luck textbook - we had 30 family members round yesterday for a BBQ, very tiring but had a really nice time and we were lucky with the weather too!

Going to take it easy today but making Sunday dinner later :)

Umlauf · 25/08/2013 09:49

I have the film of what to expect... Does that count?!!!

Quick one, but please tell me I'm not the only one with leaky nipples? I have two tiny wet patches on my nightie (urgh!) and last night in bed felt some damp and there was a little puddle on my elbow from where a little stream had formed! Sorry for tmi!!
