Hi all!!!

Been mega, mega shattered to and I only work 2 days a week!!! I just want to sleep all day! I don't think the heat helps.

Having my hair coloured and cut today...my hairdresser has assured me thats its safe, it's only if you are painting dye onto the scalp that it's tricky, but highlights are ok. Anyone else had this experience of desparatley needing their hair done?? and worrying that it's not ok to do so?? The thing is I feel soo crappy at the mo, sickness, bloatedness (to the point that I have NOTHING to wear!! But to small for maternity stuff and not flush enough to buy bigger sizes for the sake of a few weeks!)moodiness, tiredness!! the list goes on! So having my hair done is a. Time out to relax b. The only way to brighten my looks up!

No more news really...Although I am very pleased Grace left the BB house, she actually came across quite well once she had left. I did like that name Grace for a little girl, but have now been put off!! Names really are a nightmare to choose!

Love to Lizzie...If you are still watching...really feel for you all having problems...life just isn't fair.x.x.

Hope everyone is keeping well and happy.
check back soon.
Also 9 weeks today!!

I have devised a solution to the too-tight-trousers problem.

  1. Buy a pack of elastic, not to thick though matbe 1/2 inch at the most.

  2. Cut a 6-8 inch length

  3. Tie elastic to make a loop

  4. Put loop over button on trousers

  5. Thread loop through button hole

  6. Place the other end of the loop over the button again

  7. Trouser can now be left undone but won't fall down.

  8. Wear a long top and no-one will know and it means the maternity stuff can wait a little longer.

  9. You can all tell me I'm a genius GrinGrinWink

Everything all good here, tired and have zero patience but ok otherwise.
Scan seems to be ages away yet...7th July and I'll be 13+2 by then!!

Hi all. Like the idea for extending trousers LTH - sounds like I could manage it even with my (very) limited sewing skills!

jessddibs - I had hair highlighted a few times through last pg and didn't cause any probs. Now trying out my natural colour for the first time in about 20 years, seeing if I get used to it at the moment or I might be back to the hairdressers in a couple of weeks!

LadyTophamHatt · 17/06/2006 12:41

No sewing required....just the ability to tie a knotSmile

LTH I have my elastic on now thankyou for the fantastic idea!! Got in a right panic yesterday as had niggles and brown spotting tried phoning midwife not there, drs couldnt guarantee a call back and phoned EPAC and they couldnt see me without referral from midwife/DR, phoned a local private clinic where I had nuchal scans done when having DD and they said come in straight away an dwe'll have a look. Drove over on my own (DD at my MIL as I was at work) and they took me straight in to the room and put the doppler on and saw my bean with a heartbeat yipee I love that place and I'v e got 7 pictures (even though I'm £50 poorer) but they have said if I want a 4d scan done at 28weeks it normally costs £150 but they'll refund my £50 from yeterday off the price so I'll be booking in to see them again at the end sept/beginning oct.

DH at work today and had DD this morning and my mum and dad have just picked her up and keeping her until lunch time tomorrow when they are comingto us for a BBQ so I've a nice relaxing afternoon and a lie in tomorrow morning I really appreciate my parents at the moment.

Anyway going to go and do some on line shopping for maternity dress as got 3 weddings between August and October

EPM 10 weeks today !!

lulu25 · 17/06/2006 16:03

Argh, my hair. I haven't had it coloured just in case. Highlights are no good because I am covering grey. My darling boyfriend (whose usual line is "Well I can't see any grey - you're just wasting your money") asked me last week if I had paint in my hair. Thanks a lot.

Will risk Aveda semi permanent as soon as that crucial first three months is up.

In other news, someone finally seems to be interested in my pregnant state - got a booking in appointment at 10 weeks.

lulu25 · 17/06/2006 16:06

Also, finally cracked today and had a small piece of unpasteurised cheddar (seeing that said food is usually a staple of my diet and never once made me sick before I was preg). Man, it was good.

trinityrhino · 17/06/2006 16:09

sorry lulu but that is funny about paint in your hair Grin

hope evryone is well Smile

I HATE MORNING SICKNESS Angry

Trinity
7 weeks today!
xxx

trinityrhino · 17/06/2006 16:11

was it REALLY good lulu? Smile

I wish I was craving something, anything at the mo I'm just desperate to find something to eat that the thought of doesn't make me retch Sad

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 16:29

hi all hope everyone is ok. Been keeping quiet as am convinced things have gone wrong. Have scan on monday so shall know then. Will prob be back then to let you know either way. If it has gone wrong then dont think we will try again as it will mean I have had 4 mcs and only 2 healthy pregnancies.

MerlinsBeard · 17/06/2006 16:32

((((nemo))))

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 16:33

MerlinsBeard · 17/06/2006 16:35

Why are you convinced its gone wrong ?

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 16:37

just have this gut feeling I know...had the same with missed mc but then it could be that fear I dont know. Also really not feeling pregnant at all and with all my pregnancies I have had symptoms.

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 16:37

did you find a plant?
I have a statue for my mcs called angel of the heart.

MerlinsBeard · 17/06/2006 16:39

((((((Nemo))))))
What time is your scan?

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 16:44

Keep saying I will get tattoo for babies but am still waiting to get Hs aswell as got pg rather quickly..will save up and go and get them together.

MerlinsBeard · 17/06/2006 16:45

Nemo1977 · 17/06/2006 16:47

I am in liverpool mom but thanks anyway. I am going to ring my sister and ask her to have them.

flibertygibbet · 17/06/2006 20:19

Hi all, been off for a while as I've been so worn out!

Lizziemum, so sorry to hear your news.

Nemo, I hope it's all in your head and your scan shows that everything is fine.

I was trying to keep my pregnancy quiet at work until 12wks but gave up when random people started asking me when the baby's due! I was 9 1/2 weeks! Blush Now you can see I wasn't exaggerating when I said I'm huge already.

There's some good news, I'm ten weeks now and I think I'm starting to feel the light at the end of the tunnel as my energy is starting to improve. I hope I'm not the only one.

Loubie37 · 18/06/2006 09:36

Nemo - hope you're feeling a bit brighter today and good luck for your scan, I'm sure everything will be OK x

Jessddibbs - we're twinnies! I think my dates might change when I have my 12 week scan though - I'm 9+1 based on my first scan which put me at 5+4 but the other scans I've had put me anywhere from 2 days to a week behind, but I can't be doing with changing it every time so I'll wait till my 12 week scan which is on 6/7....it can't come soon enough!

I'm feeling really run down at the moment, I'm permanently exhausted, got hayfever from hell, the mother of all cold sores and generally feeling poop :( I hate complaining though, and keep reminding myself how lucky I am to be in this situation at all :)

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone :)

Loubie xx
9+1

Hattie2 · 18/06/2006 17:44

Knew I was feeling huge but it was proved when I bumped into a work colleague and his wife out shopping, she turns to him and says 'John, why didn't you tell me Hattie2 was preganant?'. Cue blank look from him (typical man) and me in 2 minds trying to decide if I deny it or not! Ended up making him promise not to tell anyone for another 2 weeks so will see if it's all round the office or not tomorrow.

Not feeling too bad, still exhausted (hope my energy starts to return at 10 weeks like you fliberty - few more days to wait) and have headache at the mo. Anyone know what painkillers,if any, it's safe to take?

Loubie37 · 18/06/2006 18:18

Just paracetamol I think Hattie2...hope it's gone soon :) LOL at your colleague and his wife - imagine her face if you weren't pregnant though, it was a bit rude of her :o

I'm really really tired today - I've already had 2 snoozes Shock and I could could still quite happily have a bath and go to bed for the night :o

My hayfever's not as bad today thank God, yesterday was awful, roll on Autumn is all I can say!

elliepippamummy · 18/06/2006 18:42

Hattie I've reached 10 wks now and my exhaustion has almost gone have to say had 10.5 hrs sleep last nite as DD at my parents but feel so much better today. Hope everyone who is still feeling a bt 'off' feels better soon.

Nemo - hope all goes well tomorrow

Hattie2 · 18/06/2006 18:58

epmummy - 10.5 hours sleep, sounds fab, I'm very Envy!!

Thanks Loubie - looks like DH is off to the shops then as we've only got ibuprofen in the cupboard.
