marzipanned tis not I with the wood fetish, it's DH. His friend bought a swanky log burner so DH had to do one better.... We now have to fell a rainforest to fill it. Although our log store is sooooo neat it almost turns me on.

Oooooh Laura cannot wait to hear what happens (and to hear if it is a boy!!), can you ask her to look into the future and find out if little Wilfys middle name will stop him getting laid or not?

Shropshiremummy2bLaFay · 18/08/2013 20:33

timpani just got so excited after downloading my baby's beat app, lay down prodding for ages. When I couldn't find my own heartbeat I thought I'd google how to use it only to discover you can't use it for iPhone 5 GRRRRRRRR!

pettyprudence · 18/08/2013 20:47

littleen I had pot noodles TWICE last week! I don't think I'd eaten one for 10+ years. It was just as crap but as satisfying as I remembered. Also ate lots of pickled onion monster munch. Today I have been craving peas.

pettyprudence · 18/08/2013 20:48

Oh and can I also put my name down on the list for a quiet girl please? Or boy. But definitely quiet.

littlestgirlguide · 18/08/2013 21:10

My belly button has popped out today. It looks weird, and I don't really like it!

laura0007 · 18/08/2013 21:26

Ill ask her Shropshire! I thought of you yesterday when I was watching Harry potter, dumbledore said his full name was albus Wilfred Percival Brian dumbledore! Your son is either going to be a knight or the head teacher of hogwarts!!

laura0007 · 18/08/2013 21:27

Petty, I'd like a quiet one too pretty please Smile knowing my luck it won't sleep and will scream all day and night. Is it too late to swap it for a puppy?

tinypolkadot · 18/08/2013 21:46

I've been really suffering with eczema on my hips this weekend, came out of nowhere, so itchy and sore and seems to be spreading Sad I've been smothering on the aveeno but no miracles happening for me.

I literally cannot bare anything touching it, so clothes are a no no, and the seams down the sides of tops aggravate it even more. So bloody annoying, this happens just as my sickness seems to be going. God knows what I'll wear for work tomorrow.

littlest I don't think I'll be long behind you with the belly button, mine is stretching and I can feel a hard lump behind it. Oh, and of course there's a ring of eczema around it too.

I too have been imagining a quiet girl Grin we should see how many of these predictions come true!

Timpani · 18/08/2013 23:03

shropshire argh that's shite!!

jazzcat I tried two weeks ago and not a sausage! Definitely think I got lucky. If they're buried in deep/moving it'd be impossible.

Thingymajigs · 19/08/2013 06:58

Eczema here too tiny. Started appearing on the backs and front of knees two days ago and I seem to come up in angry red rashes whenever I lightly scratch myself. I'm going to clean up my diet a bit to see if it helps because I ate terribly on holiday. I'm trying E45 is there a better cream to try?

tinypolkadot · 19/08/2013 07:24

thingy I read lots of rave reviews about aveeno which is quite soothing. There's loads of variants though, so not sure I got the right ones! You can buy one over the counter called aveeno lotion and I bought another tube called aveeno skin relief, I seem to be getting some results layering the two. I think you can buy a tube specifically for eczema so I'll be looking for that today.

I've also read coconut oil works for some, but can't find that anywhere.

Yes to cleaning up the diet, I really must do that as well- I've just spent another night on the sofa as the bed was too hot and scratchy Sad

Let me know if anything works for you!

tinypolkadot · 19/08/2013 07:26

Oh, I also had a bath with some oats tied into a pop sock! It was heavenly and very soothing

Thingymajigs · 19/08/2013 07:40

Thanks, I'll see if I can find that cream. Only managed 2 hours sleep myself. Miserable isn't it? Hopefully it'll settle down for us soon.
I have a very boring appointment at the hospital today to discuss two seizures I had and if this affects how I can give birth. I've had 2 natural births so I'm pretty sure I'm ok. No idea why I need to bring a wee sample with me. Hmm Must be automatic with all pregnancy appointments.
Oh, I definitely felt baby move yesterday! DP could even see which side baby was lying because the bump was raised on one side. Definitely pregnant now, no denying it. I've also graduated to maternity clothes at exactly 16 weeks. I recommend everyone tries it asap, it's so comfy.

Thisisfreakingmeout · 19/08/2013 08:44

Got my 16 week appointment this afternoon. Not particularly interested in work this morning.

So far I am still managing in my fat jeans but it is starting to shift into a solid mound now, so I may graduate soon!

Will they be taking blood today? Already done my peepot!

jazzcat28 · 19/08/2013 08:44

thingy I'm in maternity trousers and top today at work. Feel like I have a big neon sign on my belly shouting 'I'm Pregnant!' now...

14+1

misskatamari · 19/08/2013 08:47

Thingy and tiny so sorry to hear your suffering with eczema. It's bloody horrible. Thanks for the tips about aveeno - might give it a try on my itchy nip as cocoa butter moisturiser isn't helping as much anymore. I hope yours eases soon - the last thing you need is to not be able to sleep as well!

I need to get some maternity clothes I can wear for work in sept. I've bought some trousers but I need to get some tops, preferably some work jumpers as my lab is freezing and single glazed and I'm always so cold in their - all I seem to be able to find at the moment are loose baggy flowy tops tho! Must have a good search. I think gonna have to have a bit if a clothes clear out and vacuum pack some clothes which i will deffo not be fitting into for a while! God knows where this baby is gonna go in my house!!!

tinypolkadot · 19/08/2013 09:39

Hope all goes well at the hospital thingy

I dug out an old tube of boots emollient cream for my eczema and that seemed to work very nicely after my shower this morning.

I've cleared out old clothes and put them in bin bags misskatamari and now I feel like I've got nothing to wear! Most of the maternity stuff I've been given is either too big (size 16-18) or too small (size 10-12) I've been keeping tabs on the bundles you get on ebay so might try to get one of those. I can't wait for autumn and to be able to wear cosy clothes again!

misskatamari · 19/08/2013 10:23

I've just bought loads for work from h+m online - hope they fit! They are all 14-16 which should be fine but I sometimes find h+m sizing a bit small . Normally I'm a 12/14 on top when not pregnant so hopefully they'll be fine.

I'm sure it's gonna be so obvious I'm pregnant when I go back to work. I'm sure there will be lots of "is she pregnant or is she fat" going on from the kids!

ch1134 · 19/08/2013 11:42

I went to H&M at the weekend and bought 2 pairs of trousers for £7 each! Now I'm soo comfy! Bump has popped out this week - there's no hiding it now! I'm a teacher, so 2 weeks left of hols then back to work. Haven't told anyone at work but my husband says there's no hiding it now!

Task avoiding in the extreme today. Going away next week so I have work to do, plus cleaning ready for my sister to visit tomorrow. We're renovating the house so there is mess everywhere... Instead I've been looking up 'nub theory' and 'skull theory', but every time I look at the scan pic I just think 'I don't know but you're so beautiful!'. Just booked our half term holiday to the Isle of Eigg too.. right... must do some cleaning!

marzipanned · 19/08/2013 11:49

Well, doppler-pushers, I just caved and ordered one. Went for the Angel Sounds cheapo so I won't feel too guilty if I end up just having to stick it in a drawer.

ch1134 · 19/08/2013 11:54

misskatamari are you secondary? I'm sure I'll put up with lots of similar comments. I want to avoiding 'announcing' it until after 20 week scan on 11th Sept. the adults should be polite enough to not ask me before then but I'm not sure about the kids (secondary)

vix206 · 19/08/2013 12:16

I'm off to the hospital today too to see the consultant. Mainly to talk about problems with birth last time, and then the resulting trauma and depression. Fun fun fun :)

vix206 · 19/08/2013 12:18

Oh and 17 + 6 today and still no news from hospital about 20 week scan. Midwife said they are pretty good though and it should be at 20-21 weeks so just have to be patient...

marzipanned · 19/08/2013 12:36

Aw vix good luck. That doesn't sound like a fun visit. Though if I'm remembering your story correctly all the trauma could've been avoided if the medical staff had paid proper attention to what you were saying - so hopefully this time they will be super aware.

My 20 week scan is at 21 weeks, September 24th. Seems soooo far away, especially since weeks feel like months when pregnant!

Shropshiremummy2bLaFay · 19/08/2013 12:37

Timpani Panic averted- I can use the heartbeat tracker on my Ipad! Yay, will let you know how I get on ce soir. If all fails I shall also be hopping on the dopple wagon (but hiding it from DH who thinks I have more money than sense, which is totally audacious as I have neither).
