carwillin has her baby! See birth announcements....

666mummy · 09/06/2006 10:39

41wks 2days overdue now, guna be in a state of shock when my labour does start, v.anxious to meet my baby now, slightly fed up :( want it to be over now, i wana be getting woke up and changing nappies?!?!, not surer whether im even getting show now because its changed colour?!?! soz 2 much info. Blush
it is v.hot at the moment for us ladies to bear, so im just going to sit in a shaded corner of the garden and try and take my mind of everythying, hoping something starts. x x x
ladies dont clean too much just relax because men take advantage of our nesting instincts?!?!

TheHun · 09/06/2006 11:16

666 good advice about not cleaning too much, I have had a bit of a spurt today but will chill out this afternoon in the sunshine. dh is off work today, will let him finish off.

my stats:
me: 35
dh:35
dd:3 at end of aug
due:3/6
sex:unknown
live:north east

midwife came and did a membrane sweep at home this morning as I'm 40+6 today. It was uncomfortable but not painful. She said cervix was very soft and baby very low down so I'm hopeful this might start things off.

dd was 4 days early and a quick birth, can't believe I'm still here. Me and dh have been having sex in the hope of getting things going but nothing happeining, bit alkward but enjoyable and sleep great afterwards (until I need the loo!)

Have been booked in for an induction on sat 17th at 3pm, hope I don't last that long.

Congrats to arrivals, to those still waiting stock your freezer with ice lollys and magnums and sit outside in the sun.

AdelaideS · 09/06/2006 12:09

Ooooh, Hun, what a lovely idea. I seem to have developed a bit of a thing for cider lollies from the ice-cream van, may have to buy up all her stock as i'm not due till 27th!

Laura032004 · 09/06/2006 13:19

Congratulations to carwillin :)

Hope everyone is feeling well today :) It's really hot down here in Cornwall (sure it is all over the country!). I've only got one strawberry split left, so I think a Tesco run will have to be done this afternoon! I'm getting through kilos of carrots, apples and nectarines at the moment trying to quell my hunger - I'm starving all of the time!

Starting to feel a bit more ready now. I've semi packed a hospital bag 'just in case' (hoping for a home birth though) and washed my cloth nappies. Just need a baby now! I'm not getting impatient yet, but I've still got nearly three weeks until I'm due. Just enjoying my time with DS, whilst it's just the two of us.

Thank you Mrs B. Good luck to you all. You have my sympathies being 9mths in this heat. It's hard enough being 6.5mths! Smile

AdelaideS · 10/06/2006 14:47

Big congrats to blobsmummy and bubbly on your new arrivals. Grin Sorry to hear about your experience blobsmummy, hope everything works out, thinking of you.

I am now due date +4 and I am getting more and more fed up as the days pass. I never thought I would say this but the nice weather is not helping. No signs of anything happening. Why won't my baby make an appearance?! I'm really happy of course for everyone that is having their bundles delivered but I also can't help feeling worse, especially when due dates are after mine! ARGH.

I hope baby appears soon but at least before fathers day so DH can do his proud father bit.

666mummy · 10/06/2006 20:57

i hope mine cums too he was supposed to make an appearance in may?!?!?!
the heat is unbearable for me......im just fed up with it now.....vbab78 i know how you are feeling, cant wait to see your birth announcement. x x

BABY2 · 10/06/2006 21:03

congratulatons to all the new mummy's.
I am 39+4 and still no show or any type of pain. I am not to bothered at the moment as i have a bad cold and throat infection and have had it for the last 4 days and ds also has it and has a very high feaver and is draining any energy i can find so dont think i could cope at all with a baby as well.
dh has been working any overtime he can get to pay for making up his pay when baby s born.

Hopee eveyone else is well.

PomsMum · 10/06/2006 23:51

40+4 (in a few minutes) fed up, too hot, DH snoring, DD screaming with some kind of viral spotty itchy thing, fed up fed up fed up. And there I was foolishly thinking 'oh early June won't be too hot to labour......' Yeah right....

AdelaideS · 11/06/2006 09:44

Hmmm, well in this house ds & dd are being very sweet, but dp is STILL snoring.....Angry

LilacBump · 11/06/2006 11:16

hi girls! hope you are all well! sorry i haven't been on earlier to tell you about the birth of my baby. i was in hospital until friday!

ethan thomas smet singleton was born 3/6/06 weighing 11 lbs 1 oz, natural birth with only a little gas and air between 7 and 9cm.

after the birth i needed membrane removing as i was bleeding heavily. managed to avoid needing to go into theatre, but it was horrible and was grateful for the gas & air. i needed a blood transfusion a few days later as my iron level was only 6.4.

ethan spent a few days on the neonatal unit because his breathing was fast and they feared he had an infection. they did lots of blood tests and a lumbar puncture. all came back clear. he had anti-biotics for 5 days. it was very stressful seeing him on monitors and on the neaonatal unit, but all ended well. on friday we were finally allowed to go home. he's gained on his birth weight already and feeding & sleeping well.

emkana · 11/06/2006 11:18

Congratulations lilacbump!
Glad to see you and your baby are okay.
What an impressive size!
Enjoy your time at home together.

AdelaideS · 11/06/2006 11:24

Congratulations Lilac, he's a beauty.

666mummy · 11/06/2006 11:57

lilac bump: he is gorgeous, congratulations you've made my day!??!

im 41wks 5days, had my 3rd sweep today and everything is fine, im 3cm already just need some contractions now.........feel quite fragile now, dont much like those membrane sweeps :(
hope everybody is well. thinkin of everybody with thier new bundles or who is still waiting x x x

vbab78 · 11/06/2006 12:39

Congratulations lilacbump. So happy for you. Grin Also a big WOW firstly for having an 11 pound 1 baby, secondly a natural birth and thirdly with only a little gas and air Shock.

666mummy good news that you are 3cm Smile. My fingers are crossed for you.

No change here apart from baby feeling lower maybe and more trips to the loo. Now due date +5. Not that i'm counting or anything Wink. My one and only sweep is getting closer (Tuesday) and no baby in sight Sad.

RachelPross · 11/06/2006 12:46

just some to comlain to someone who gets it about the heat. My feet and hands feel hot and swollen, I feel like a sweaty whale...v attractive. Blush
Thought my waters may have broken yesterday afternoon but no such luck, think it's other leakage (embarrassing). Have been told to keep a pad on and see what happens. Still no sign of contractions so thinking it's a false alarm.
Can't imagine what I'll be like if I go overdue, bad enough already!!! Think it's cos of the weather, I just want to get it over with now and meet my little one. DH trying to be patient with me but I'm like a bear with a sore head when I'm this hot and can't sleep. Feel sorry for him. Sad

TheHun · 11/06/2006 14:35

Congratulations lilac, 11lb sounds scary, and with only gas and air!! He's lovely.

I'm 41+1 today, membrane sweep on friday doesn't seemed to have worked, still nothing whatsoever. Just hope something does before induction on sat.

666 - exciting news, keep us posted.
