I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

he certainly is. He is charming but naughty. A wild character already. I can't wait until we hit the terrible twos Shock

mazzystar · 20/06/2006 21:11

hiya everyone. i'm thrilled to report that i was sick this morning. which makes me feel that i must indeed be properly up the duff. nonetheless it still feels unreal, and like some of you still keeping it quiet just in case.

dug out my old maternity gear and was shocked by how enormous it is. need some kind of inbetweeny things that don't scream "pregnant lady" from 500 yards.

anyone know who does the best maternity jeans?

Very sorry to hear your news Rachee. I hope you get some help and support from the Miscarriage/Bereavement threads.

bigsurprise · 21/06/2006 13:39

rachee, so sorry it didnt work out. Take care.

bigsurprise · 21/06/2006 13:42

I am so so bloated - cant be arsed to squeeze into jeans so am in comfy floaty skirts now - I love jeans and live in them usually but it is ridicuously early to buy a maternity pair so I'll have to float around looking feminine for a few weeks.

God I'm knackered too. Is anyone else having baby#3 apart from me and Sorky? There is no respite!!

cadbury · 21/06/2006 15:06

rachee - I'm so sorry. Thinking of you

franky07 · 21/06/2006 15:39

Hi Everybody!! So pleased to be joining you all, i found out i was pregnant on monday and i should be due around the 18th feb 07.

cadbury · 21/06/2006 15:47

Hi franky! Congratulations. How are you feeling?

I've really over done it again today. I think I'm going to need to do some serious thinking about running my parent and toddler group while I'm pregnant as it's only going to get more difficult as the pregnancy goes along.

Fivefour · 21/06/2006 15:47

Bigsurprise I'm having number 3 too. It's still early for me though so I'm not struggling with the other 2 yet although if I'm not careful I find myself being quite grumpy with them.

franky07 · 21/06/2006 15:54

Hi Cadbury i'm not feelin 2 bad ta considering, its my first. I am booked into my doctors 2nite, How are you feelin is this your first?

cadbury · 21/06/2006 15:56

no, this is my third. Feeling very tired and nauseous most of the time but ok if I took thinga a bit easier probably!

franky07 · 21/06/2006 15:58

yeah u probably need to slow down a bit it can be quite tiring.

lilymum · 21/06/2006 16:06

Feeling hideous too, just want to put head down loo and die. Ate half a block of stilton earlier on, only thing I could face that didn't make me want to throw up. Sleeping in pm - lucky in that dd3 and ds both nap at same time, so snatch an hour's rest before doing school pick up. Don't think I'd get through the day otherwise.

maazaa · 21/06/2006 17:01

Hello, welcome new ladies and congratulations!!! I have been on here a couple of weeks now!

Am 29, DH 30, First pg, due Feb 11 or so, according to babycentre. Thought it would take ages to conceive, so a bit in shock and totally paranoid about it all.

Sorry you feel so awful Lilymum. I feel for you being so queasy and having little ones too. I was interested, as a first timer, to see you had stilton. is on my "banned foods" list - as an experienced mum, is that list too extreme? For example these are the things I would like to do - if anyone can advise, I would be grateful!

  1. Eat nuts
  2. Eat prawns/smoked salmon
  3. Dye my hair (only brown to cover odd grey)
  4. Use Dove holiday tanning moisturiser
titchy77 · 21/06/2006 17:15

So sorry rachee thinking of you.xxxx

titchy77 · 21/06/2006 17:19

Maazaa I ate nuts with my ds and i just had my hair highlighted, not sure about the prawns but there is another thread about it and a lot of the ladies say its o.k as long as they are fresh.

suzi2 · 21/06/2006 18:15

So sorry rachee sending you hugs.

maaza - I'm avoiding all mouldy cheeses, I think it's wise to avoid them because of listeria risks etc.

With regard to nuts, they say to avoid them if you have any family history of allergic conditions such as eczema, asthma, allergies. I am actually dangerously allergic to nuts (so won't be eating them!) and I personally think that if you can avoid them you should, just incase.

Dying hair is fine, although again I won't be until into the 2nd trimester as I prefer to play things REALLY safe! The self tan thing is one that I don't know for sure about. I have read that as 80% of what goes on your skin is absorbed, it should be avoided but I don't know anything 'for sure' on this one. I'm sure the risk, if anything, is absolutely tiny from hair dye and fake tan.

Prawns, don't eat them so couldn't comment!
