I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

sorry to hear that Mrs JC, fingers crossed all will be ok for you

Can you relax on the weekend and put your feet up a bit or is that wishful thinking?

I've had weird pains, no bleeding, which Dr says is growing and stretching pains but I find it's worse on the days when I don't rest at all (which is difficult with a 1 year old in tow!)

soundbites · 30/06/2006 09:57

Mrs JC - hope the doctor can put your mind at rest on Monday. Fingers crossed for you.

Peachygirl, I have just ordered the free sample of Yorkshire decaf tea - thanks for the web link. Someone at work (who knows I am pg) made me the Clipper stuff yesterday and it was so disgusting! I'm going to have to tell her or she will sweetly make it for me for the rest of my pregnancy! Otherwise I restrict myself to a mug of tea in the morning and another in the afternoon, When I am feeling really queasy I can't face tea anyway ...

Thinking of you MrsJC - hope things turn out ok for you.

Just had a call from my midwife - she's coming over in an hour or so to do my booking in.

maazaa · 30/06/2006 16:03

Hey all....sorry you're feeling worried Mrs JC. Is this your first or second baby? I have heard that some ladies experience loads of spotting and are still fine to full term. Hope you get seen soon...

How's everyone else feeling? All well here. Midwife appointment went well. Am officially due 15/02/07. Have ridiculous pile of leaflets and A4 book to carry round with me! Oh well, another new handbag, I guess!!!! Flicked through the "emma's diary" standard issue magazine book. Am I being super arsey or does it read in a really patronising "we're pretending this is a real diary but getting lots of info down your throat" style? Tell me if I am!

MrsJohnCusack · 30/06/2006 16:07

no relaxation for me tonight and tomorrow unfortunately. Have ranted extensively on the BigMoFos thread about inlaws, won't repeat it all hear, will just say have no chance of proper relaxation at the moment!
This is my 2nd baby. Did have some bleeding the first time (at 6 weeks and 9.5 weeks I think), can't remember, but don't think it was quite as much as this. However, it's not really been that much so far, just have to wait and see if it develops.

MrsJohnCusack · 30/06/2006 16:08

repeat it all here even. . and thanks for the kind words ladies

peachygirl · 30/06/2006 16:14

Fingers crossed MrsJC saw your stalking threads yersterday!
The visit to the farm was ok I didn't go into the sheep. I had my phone call to the doctor who is going to request that the chicken pox immunity is checked along with the other standard blood tests. I still have a massive bruise from wednesday when they took the blood, Welcome Cha Cha

maazaa · 30/06/2006 16:28

Glad you had a good day and sheep didn't nibble you, Peachy!

bunny3 · 30/06/2006 21:50

wow, there's loads of us here!

Cha Cha, remember me from the ttc threads ages ago? Nice to see you again!

MrsJC, I had really bad pains and bleeding (a bit more than spotting) but a scan last week showed everythnig was ok. I still worry as I have had 2 silent miscarriages whihc were pciked up at my 12 wk scans. Till I get past that landmark date I wont be able to relax.

Cant stand tea, coffee or Alcohol (that has to be a first!). I am drinking loads of ribena and fizzy water, cant stomach anything else.

Tommy · 30/06/2006 22:57

I feel awful - think I have evening sickness. Slept for over an hour with DS2 after reading his bedtime story but still feel yuck
Can't remember how long this stage goes on for...

MrsJohnCusack · 01/07/2006 00:10

I am having quite a lot of bleeding now, in my heart I think I feel quite convinced that it's not right
Can't do anything about it tomorrow, too busy - if this continues I will take myself to A&E on Sunday I think and make them scan me there.
Another reason I think it's wrong is I don't feel sick and ravenous anymore.
Sorry to be on a downer, have had a truly horrible day

flowertot · 01/07/2006 06:44

MrsJC so sorry to hear that. You must be feeling awful and such a shame you can't go and checked today. I think sadly sometimes we have a 'sixth sense' about these things and i am terribly sorry of you are feeling that. Lots of love to you xx

spudballoo · 01/07/2006 07:49

MrsJC, I'm so sorry to read this. I do hope it settles down for you xxx

ChicagoTowngirl (Ithink that's the name?) - I have spent a lot of time in Chicago over the past 5 years as I have an office there, I go every 6 weeks or so and I love it! Missing it so much, I've been on maternity leave since last July, and am now on sick leave, before going on maternity leave again, then sick leave blah blah. Due to return to work in 2008, having left in 2005. Hmm.

Anyway, is the mat shop you mention A Pea in the Pod on Rush? I bought sooooo many clothes there last year and they were so helpful. Also got loads in Gap on Michigan, and a few bits from, hmm, what's that place called, it's in the Water Tower. It's a bit of a jumble sale in there but a few OK bits, they also sell it in the downstairs bit of A Pea in the Pod. It will come to me.

Well, just wanted to say hello to a fellow Chicago lady!

Spud xx

spudballoo · 01/07/2006 07:52

Oh, and the exhaustion is just awful. I keep trying to get a nap in the afternoons but DS has other ideas. He fell asleep in the pushchair yesterday on the way home after a trip, he NEVER does that. So he had a 15 min power nap and I was gutted. So much so that I put him down anyway at 5.20 and we both kipped for an hour. So then we did late tea, late bath and bed.

I'm astonished he went to bed without a peep and slept through again, long may it continue becuase I feel frazzled.

Last time this went on until 16 weeks, please noooooo.

I will have to think about winding down the breastfeeding I think, it's exhausting. But then I'll miss my special cuddles with my boy, sob.

Eating for england, here comes the 3plus stone weight gain goodie goodie

swift1 · 01/07/2006 11:01

Sorry to hear that MRS JC, the same is happening to me...I was 6 weeks yest, light bleed started yesterday morning which turned heavier yesterday and now there is a lot of blood each time i go to the loo, have period like cramps too, dont think its there anymore. Do you think I should bother going to docs on Monday? I doubt if theres anything they can do is there?

Sorry to put a dapmer on happy thread - congrats a nd good luck to you all xxx

ChaCha · 01/07/2006 13:09

Am so sorry to hear this news FWIW my friend bled up until 12 weeks with both her kids and went full term - it is worth going to Dr.

Lots of memories coming back from last year, feeling quite nauseous and smells are starting to get very strong - DS's nappies in particular and cooking smells!!
I am very fortunate that DH sleeps with DS in the evenings so I get a fairly good night's sleep to make up for the long days.

How is everyone else? Is there a stats thread somewhere? Can we make one?

Me: 30
DH: 32
1 DS aged 7 months tomorrow

Bunny How could I forget you...that was a few of years ago you know! How many DC do now have? x

peachygirl · 01/07/2006 19:50

Mrs JC and swift Hope you are OK

Tommy · 01/07/2006 20:44

hope you're all hanging in there.

suzi2 · 01/07/2006 21:33

Thinking of you MrsJC & Swift. Definately worth going to the doctors as even if you think all is lost there is a slim chance. With my mc before DS, I went to the 'Saturday' doctor at A&E who thought that there wasn't a chance. Even though she was right, I still had a scan the following Tues to confirm that everything was 'finished' so to speak. The one benefit of the GP and EPAU taking notes on my mc was that when I fell pg with DS I got an early reassurance scan at 6 wks which was great. So worth going through the process.

I have fingers crossed for you both. It's awful being in limbo at the weekend too.

suzi2 · 01/07/2006 21:34

Chacha - I'm with you on the nappies. When DS fills one, I can't bear to be near him! It takes a lot of courage to actually deal with it!

MrsJohnCusack · 02/07/2006 00:44

swift1, sorry you're going through this too
I was convinced it was the end but the bleeding hasn't got any heavier, wearing a pad all today and there is nothing on it at all - there's just been a tiny bit sometimes when I've been to the loo. I wouldn't say I've had enough bleeding so far to mean that I've miscarried.
So no idea really - had convinced myself it was all over, now not sure. Feeling suspiciously non-pregnant though, not tired, not starving, so still taking a pessimistic view. Will ask the doctor on Monday to send me for an early scan and take it from there I guess.

titchy77 · 02/07/2006 10:26

Hope your both o.k mrs jc and swift. Thinking of you both

teabags · 02/07/2006 14:52

yes, thinking of you Mrs JC and swift

Mrs JC - For what it's worth, I was very tired, but not anywhere near as much now (I'm 7 weeks)

hairycaterpillar · 02/07/2006 18:53

Hi all! Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS to all the new folk who've joined since I've been away on holiday....there seems to be loads of us now!

Spent holiday eating...it's the only way I seem to stop myself feeling really sick! I'm also completely off sweet things and really into savoury, Someone once told me that gave a clue about which sex the baby was, but can't remember which way round it is ?sweet for a girl savoury for a boy? Anyone know?

Sorry to hear about those of you who are bleeding...hang in there and I hope you manage to get scans soon to put your minds at rest. FWIW when pregnant with ds I bleed really heavily at 6 wks. I was at work and it came right through my clothes (sorry TMI!). I was convinced all was lost but a scan showed he was fine.

bunny3 · 02/07/2006 20:26

MrsJC nd Swift, I hope you both get some answers tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you both.

HC, I think sweet for a girl. With ds I ate red meat by the truck load despite being a committed vegetarian at the time! I hadnt eaten meat for 17 years till then! With dd I craved sweets, fruit and salad which is the same this time round so I am putting my money on another girl. We shall see if Im right in 7 months time!

ChaCha, I have a dd and a ds. Ds is 6 and dd 18 months, she was concieved when I was using the conception boards here around the same time you were ttc. they are absolutely brilliant wonderful children so if I'm lucky enough to have another one I shall be very very happy.
