Congratulations Aloha !
OH is a bit flappy, using a timing app for contractions and every time I have one he inspects it and worries they are getting closer or further apart. bless him.

MrsBri · 11/06/2013 20:02

Congratulation, Aloha :-) Clearly your little girl is too impatient to have waited til Sunday!

I thought you were near me, sparkle. Race?! :-/

I've just been to the supermarket as I wanted to get my dad a Father's Day card. I've decided that DH can do that job til after baby comes as I could barely get back to the car for bump ache. Hmmm.

RueDeWakening · 11/06/2013 20:11

Congratulations Aloha :o clearly your little girl is starting as she means to go on - refusing to listen to anyone trying to tell her what to do... Wink

Good luck for the others in progress and still waiting!

Congrats Aloha! That's wonderful. Glad to hear you're feeling better than last time around.

For me it's been the opposite experience. Was up & about really quickly with DS1, but this time I am taking a long time to recover. I think it's because I lost quite a bit of blood. It's day 5 and I still get lightheaded when getting up or just walking to the bathroom.

pinkbear82 · 11/06/2013 20:33

congratulations alhoa - and so pleased you are feeling good.

steff - yep he'll be out on tag for the rest as far as I know. waiting for some more news from him tomorrow as was very quick phone call and not
enough time to ask loads of questions! Smile we are over the moon.

hope the night brings all those waiting something positive - not long ladies you will soon have little bundles sniffling away on your chests too.

Steffanoid · 11/06/2013 20:33

well aloha that was nice and quick for you! now you get out of the open house on Saturday, I think a little girl is a legitimate excise to miss it bit at least all the diy was done Smile

my walk and gym ball have done nothing except help me have a lovely nap this afternoon/evening

only had a few messages asking if he's arrived, dont think they'd see the funny side if I said oh yeah he was born weeks ago just didn't feel like telling any of you, thought id hide him, my belly still being huge and rock solid it totally.normal Hmm

learnermummy · 11/06/2013 21:21

Congratulations Aloha!!

No need to panic yet littlemiss - plenty of time yet Smile.

curlyclaz13 · 11/06/2013 21:34

varying between 3 and 9 minutes apart lasting 35-50 seconds and getting more painful. not sure if that counts as regular enough to call hospital yet ?

redwellybluewelly · 11/06/2013 21:34

Congratulations Aloha brilliant news x

I would think so curly but not sure myself might be worth phoning just in case unless you want an impromptu home delivery Grin

Olimoss · 11/06/2013 21:54

Big congrats Aloha - nice work!

Littlemissexpecting · 11/06/2013 21:57

I'm not sure if I've had my show, or waters or what......
Lying on bed wearing just a baggy t shirt as very warm when I felt like I was leaking wee onto sheet. It is red with blood.
Not gushing, stopped now. Not mucous like, very liquidy. Any advice?

rrreow · 11/06/2013 21:59

Littlemiss what does it smell like? I'd give a call to ante natal just to check with them.

curlyclaz13 · 11/06/2013 22:08

probably worth a call.
just spoke to mw and said dont go until 3-4 minutes apart and pain takes breath away or waters go. running another bath now.

learnermummy · 11/06/2013 22:13

I would call littlemiss.

Hope things progress for you curly.

redwellybluewelly · 11/06/2013 22:13

littlemiss I would say ring antenatal with certainty. Could be waters but blzood tinged would make me wonder. Can't hurt to ask.

Ok. So things I've learnt since Thursday.

  • If you have a caesarian ask for peppermint tea to get rid of the wind, that was my first mistake
  • Its all very well batch cooking but you or your DH needs to remember to take it out of the freezer before you need to eat
  • the incredible capacity of a bladder not compromised by a bloody great bump!

I am a bir worried though that im five days post op and still very weak and tired. And I'm sleeping a great deal, DH is juggling baby and toddler!

Ohhh exciting littlemiss definitely call Grin

RueDeWakening · 11/06/2013 22:20

Littlemiss use a pad to see if you're leaking waters - if you go in the MWs can check the pad to confirm that's what is happening. Good luck!

Hawkmoth · 11/06/2013 22:57

Redwelly, have they given you iron supplements? That's something to consider, though I imagine the op and drugs in itself is enough reason to make you exhausted.

Littlemissexpecting · 11/06/2013 23:37

Thanks everyone.
I've called labour suite who said I've to lie down for an hour or 2 and when I stand up see if anything on pad. Mw not sure if waters or plug. I never asked whether it was ok to lie on my side hope so as back very uncomfortable.
Just had to go for a wee though and when I wiped it was like mucous with blood.
Is it normal to have red blood with mucous plug?
Pain getting worse and started timing them. Average lasting 45 secs and every 6 mins. Mw said not to go in unless lasting 60 secs every 2/3 mins.

Littlemissexpecting · 11/06/2013 23:38

Red sorry to hear your not feeling great. Have you got a mw visit soon?
Curly fingers crossed it gets more regular for you

Hawkmoth · 12/06/2013 00:15

Good luck littlemiss, imagine it'll be an interesting night for you!

curlyclaz13 · 12/06/2013 00:29

grrrr every time I wee contractions space out. been 4 mins but 8 after a wee.

Littlemissexpecting · 12/06/2013 04:02

Getting less frequent here but more painful. Definitely my show and loads of pink and clear mucous every time I wipe (sorry tmi).
Is it normal when you have a contraction to feel like you need to be sick/ go for a wee/ need a poo all at the same time?!
DH at work so going to try get more sleep if I can. Hope lo comes tomorrow and I'm not like this for weeks.
