Another no signer here. Obsessively pants checking every time I go for a wee. Which is about 8 million times a day. Ordered an extra large pineapple in our shop this week- he is looking at me now asking to be chopped up.

Trying to get on with some gcse coursework marking that I took home with me and it is soooooooooo boring. 31 essays on Shakespeare. Though they migh distract me but clearly mumsnet is doing a much better job...

Steffanoid · 11/06/2013 12:46

have found that if you pit the music channels on.while bouncing on your gym ball it actually makes it fun cause you can "dance" away yo your hearts content, still scared my big fat bum is going to pop it though Grin

pinkapples · 11/06/2013 13:52

Nothing exciting here either I'm afraid

Midwife this morning utterly pointless baby is fine moving down nicely sweep booked for Monday and if that doesn't work then again on Thursday then it'll be induction

Hoping it doesn't come to that tho as it means I can't have my water birth (inductions are at the hospital and they have no birth pools Sad) so fingers crossed for something before Monday

Very bad backache today and moving doesn't help no BH so far today tho grrrrrr

curlyclaz13 · 11/06/2013 14:13

still crampy but not as bad as overnight. lots of low down movements from bub today which I hope is him wriggling his way down.
A trip to the chemist to purchase something to help remove any blockage preventing him engaging gosh this pregnancy malarkey is so sexy !

MadameJ · 11/06/2013 14:45

Nothing here either except a very tired person, really not sleeping at all and dd has suddenly decided that she doesnt need her usual 2 hourly afternoon nap which was my only rest time. This is terrible timing as I really need a rest and instead im dealing with a grumpy overtired 2 year old!!!!

MrsBri · 11/06/2013 15:01

I don't envy you that, Madame. :-(

I've not even managed to have a shower yet as I decided that a nap on the sofa was more important. I may rectify that issue now!

Curly, can that stop full engagement then? I'm glad I've improved in that area recently if so! Did they give you anything other than lactulose?

Steff, I'm impressed you're so dedicated to bouncing. I'm not sure baby likes it as he doesn't stop wriggly the entire time I'm on it, which is disconcerting to say the least. And it makes me wee a lot too!

So, bath or shower now? Probably a shower as DH isn't anywhere near to help me out of the bath if I get stuck. Which is becoming increasingly likely! :-/

curlyclaz13 · 11/06/2013 15:24

pharmacist suggested that first or fybrogel but anything with orange flavouring really upsets my stomach so opted for lactolose. I don't think I'm that bad ( sorry tmi) but midwife said if I am at all blocked it wont help. Also have the joy of piles so I guess it is worth a go. Blush

SunnyL · 11/06/2013 15:46

I've been using Fybogel for weeks. Tastes good though you do have to drink it quickly because it really solidifies quickly.

Just managed a 1hr nap on the sofa without a contraction. Trouble was I knew that the minute I moved I'd get a really powerful one but needed a wee. Really focuses the mind trying to work out a way to make it across the living room at speed before the contraction hits so I could ride it out on the loo! Glamour indeed my friends.

Steffanoid · 11/06/2013 15:49

I wouldn't say dedicated just desperate for him to arrive, doubt it's doing anything, think next time I'll get a spacehopper so I can get around tge house, keep on just about falling off it which is scary!
very frustrating because I am sure I can feel him so low down and I hate playing the waiting game !

curlyclaz13 · 11/06/2013 16:35

well whatever is happening is about every 10 minutes and last 30-40 secs. I am running a bath but hope it doesn't scare them off !

MrsBri · 11/06/2013 16:42

Ooh, come on baby curly! Sounds very promising:-)

learnermummy · 11/06/2013 17:11

Ooh sounds promising curly!

Steffanoid · 11/06/2013 17:12

sounds like things are definitely ramping up for you! I had a break from my gym ball to ho on a walk with the dog and oh and my back really hurts so I might go for a lie down for a little bit

pinkbear82 · 11/06/2013 18:21

C'mon babies let your mummies meet you now Smile

All good here - MW signed us off today so pleased with that and Violet's put back some of the weight she lost so I'm pleased all the feeding is paying off.

In really good news for us, DP will be home on Friday! So pleased he'll be home for Father's Day and that he'll get to meet his little girl at last.

Fingers crossed those of you waiting still start seeing signs soon

That is SUCH good news, pink. What a fantastic day you must have had today :-)

Remind me of your date again, sparkle, I'm beginning to think I may be in for the long haul too. :-/

learnermummy · 11/06/2013 18:52

Great news pinkbear SmileSmileSmile

AlohaMama · 11/06/2013 19:03

Just a quick one as need to nap. Baby girl arrived last night less than an hour after getting to hospital. Will fill in on details later. She was 7lb3oz - nearly 2 lb lighter than ds ! Plus it turns out that feeling as crap after birth as i did with ds is not inevitable. I thought I was just one of those things that people never mention, but this time I feel awesome. Much less pain, no shakes, never felt out of it at all. Just a bit tired as she was born 11:30 and by the time I was stitched up, showered and taken to my recovery room, it was 1 and at 4 they were trying to get me to wake her up to feed her, which after 1 hour of ineffectual foot tickling seemed a bit pointless. Anyway think she is sleeping now, so time for some shut eye.

Good luck everyone else in progress, and those who want to be.

Littlemissexpecting · 11/06/2013 19:14

Great news pink and congrats Aloha Thanks
No movement here, quite a bit of discomfort with period pain and backache so hoping things start asap now 39 weeks and don't fancy being induced.

Hawkmoth · 11/06/2013 19:14

Great news pinkbear!

Congratulations aloha! You're quite right, I felt elation after DD, just stared at her all night feeling proud of myself! That's a nice size baby as well.

pinkapples · 11/06/2013 19:16

Congratulations aloha least you have a couple of days to rest now before the weekend... Grin

Do you have a name for lo yet?

Sunbeam18 · 11/06/2013 19:16

Wonderful news, pink and aloha! Congrats!!

Hawkmoth · 11/06/2013 19:17

Just to say, not much happening here. Waddled round some shops earlier which led to some proper pains, had a 'lie down' with DH, more pains... Fell asleep for two hours, nothing!

When I stand back straight now I can put the flat of my hand between my bra and the top of the bump.... Not sure where the baby is hiding!

Hoping to get a sweep tomorrow as I drove the car in a slight hormonal rage on Sunday and my pelvis is soooooo knackered that I can hardly sleep!
