Well done rue! Hope that means you can relax a bit now and enjoy the feeding.

Sorry to hear you've been unwell red. I have much admiration for you ladies who are coping with the after effects of a Caesarian.

Hawkmoth · 08/06/2013 14:28

Redwelly, I saw your other post, can't imagine how painful it is.

Glad that you've been discharged rue, onwards and upwards.

bshorty · 08/06/2013 15:24

Hi all. Sorry I'm not much of a poster. I try to add useful bits when they occur to me. Congratulations to all the new mums out there, so glad to see the new babies are doing better. I'm 39+5 I had some contractions/BH thurs night and occasionally through the day yesterday. Then got a break, then contractions again at 2 in the morning which peaked at every 2 mins about 9:30 seen by ANC and told I was 2cm dilated but sent home then contractions slowed right down and not as strong. Can't decide if I want them to come back or not cos so tired. Can see this going on for days :-(

Olimoss · 08/06/2013 15:31

Sarah - I was out of bed after the spinal wore off, think maybe I just had a god recovery maybe? Obv no real stamina or anything but abe to move bags, go to nurses desk, lift J, etc.....

Congrats to the new babes - so many newhumans!

Olimoss · 08/06/2013 15:34

Oh and Red - that sounds truly awful, get well soon.....

learnermummy · 08/06/2013 16:06

Oh Red how awful, really hope you feel better soon.

AlohaMama · 08/06/2013 17:28

That's crap red, hope you feel better soon.

Mawg there are still plenty of us left. I'm only 37+5 and as we have showings round our house next sat, this baby has to stay put till 39!

Hope everyone has had a relaxing Saturday. So far am enjoying dh forcing me to relax after our busy week. He's just making me a cup of tea as I speak, then I have my baby shower this afternoon. Should be fun!

arlandria666 · 08/06/2013 17:35

bshorty · 08/06/2013 20:27

Thanks AMI. Hope you are having a lovely babymoon with your In.

Mawgatron · 08/06/2013 20:28

Thinking of you red. Hate being sick at the best of times, let alone with a massive wound :(

So glad for you ladies that are having a better time with your little ones, you must all be over the moon.

Anyone else a bit of an emotional car crash today? Was sobbing into my cats fur this afternoon for absolutely no reason. Really want to have baby but also very aware of the fact that once he is out, I can't put him back in!

Steffanoid · 08/06/2013 20:35

have spent the day bobbing around really trying to encourage this lo, walked round the supermarket in and out of the garden sat forward on my chair took the dog for a walk...not much happening, I've had one tiny twitch at the bottom.of my stomach, am now trying to coax him out based on how much it inconveniences me, I painted my nails which id have to take off of in surgery, have a fridgefull of perishable food, am off out for tea tomorrow, surely something has to tempt him?

Steffanoid · 08/06/2013 20:36

red hope the sickness has died down x

pinkapples · 08/06/2013 20:55

I've been a bit like that steff sick of everyone saying "can you get this baby out now please" like I have a bloody choice! D they not understand there is no eject button although based on my mums calculations it will definitely be Tuesday as mine is an IVF baby and they no the exact date and time it was mixed in a dish... I tried to tell her that pregnancy is not an exact science of 40 weeks although got me thinking that it should be I can understand for everyone else as they could have their dates wrong but mine are definitely right (although this glorious theory doesn't count for why early babies are born - unless dates are really wrong which can't be everyone's case)

I've walked round town today got a present for my sisters 21st this week and then came home let my feet unswell for half hour then waddled walked round the forest with the dogs for an hour and.... Nothing! Well a few BH but that's it! Nothing Hmm

Steffanoid · 08/06/2013 21:09

I had a message saying yeah if you could have this baby tomorrow thatd be great
you actually do end up sat there going really? do you think I want to be an.incubator forevermore?

while they know your conception.date anything could happen, you could have a stubborn or very keen lo Grin

I just hope he comes before the sweep I've got booked on Thursday

MrsBri · 08/06/2013 21:16

Pink, I'm desperate for Tuesday to be my day so Baby B shares my late gran's birthday. Do you think I can persuade the MW to do a sweep on Monday at 38+4?! Probably not. :-/

If anybody needs a laugh (I'd advise our c section ladies to avoid until healed) then read this thread from MN Classics. It's hilarious :-)

SunnyL · 08/06/2013 21:53

Well the pregnancy book lied. It says if you lose your mucous plug labour is likely to start in the next 24 hours. It's been 36 hours since I started to lose the plug and nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero. And since I've been wholly unsuccessful at turning this baby round by doing all the right things I'm having a protest sit on the couch. The first time I sat on the couch in 2 weeks and it feels bliss.

Steffanoid · 08/06/2013 22:20

I've lost bits of mine here and there for weeks,
my twingey feeling was fake, nothing since, come on baby m lets see some action!

Littlemissexpecting · 09/06/2013 04:36

Well what a rubbish nights sleep I use the word sleep lightly as I haven't really had much. Went to bed with bad period pain and thought maybe things were starting but zilch.
DH and I upped the anti yesterday though, with curry, and dtd for the first time in ages. Did have a lovely nap yesterday afternoon so that mustn't have helped. Think gravity will be my friend today (just don't tell my swollen feet).
Hope those with babies are enjoying your newborn snuggles, and that those still waiting aren't too fed up.

AlohaMama · 09/06/2013 06:41

Thanks AmI - baby shower was lovely. We had British afternoon tea, albeit with fake clotted cream (you can't get the real stuff here). It was lovely. Also dh invited lots of people for breakfast which was nice, and then made me relax all day. I think he was making up for missing both opportunities for mother's day this year.

Thankfully still no signs of baby appearing here. House showings are next Sat when I'll be 38+5. DS was born 38+3 (with help from a sweep) so really praying this one stays in till Sunday at the earliest, as Friday we'll be cleaning and prepping, then Saturday have to be out of the house all day!

Hope those who are trying to get things going are successful! And Sunny, I think you should definitely lie back and relax. you've obviously got a stubborn one in there!!

redwellybluewelly · 09/06/2013 08:04

We're going home today!

Yippee! DH and DD1 are coming to collect us as soon as the ward opens. Littlemiss I didn't get any sleep either as the MW was 2 hours late with pain meds and then didn't bring them in the night so I was in agony. Then DD wouldn't latch for her 3am feed, so had to call an auxiliary. Then woken at 6 by MW (not apologetic) with paracetamol which is all I will take now, gradually became aware of the most unbelievable noise, went out into corridor to find some other mums too - it turns out its a woman in labour the other sidedof the hospital! and thats off putting.

But. My bags are almost packed and I'm about to attempt a solo shower. Dd2 is snoozing after a mammoth feed, but can hear nappy noises. Figure I'll have a shower, get dressed, have a cuppa and feed DD2 and nap then home. Can you tell I'm excited?!

Hope people have a good day, and thatwwe have more baby news soon

Excellent news red. Ward sounds like a nightmare.
Aloha being in labour will mean you are out of the house on sat....

AlohaMama · 09/06/2013 08:14

Congrats red, sound like you are feeling better. Enjoy being home.

AlohaMama · 09/06/2013 08:16

Well littlemiss I suppose that is one option...
