Wow, pink, that's one hell of an entrance to the world! Would you recommend being discharged so quickly? We can have a 6 hour discharge if the midwives are happy, but I'm not sure. It'd be good to hear how you feel about it :-)

Is Violet a family name? It's unusual these days, but awesome. Almost wish we'd thought of it! Though I'm happy with our names :-)

curlyclaz13 · 07/06/2013 09:09

I haven't really kept up with this thread, sorry ! due on Sunday with 1st. Up until last night I had no signs of anything happening no braxton hicks etc. then for a couple of hours I had what I think were mild contractions every few minutes lasting about 30 secs to a minute. went for a bath and they stopped. had a few on and off since. Told OH I wasn't ready yet Grin congratulations to those that have their babies safe and sound already.

Babybeann · 07/06/2013 09:40

good luck to everyone cant wait to here more baby news.

Steffanoid · 07/06/2013 10:42

congrats pinkbear, im getting really very jealous if you all and want to just come and steal your babies from you because this beast is still having the time of his life in there Sad

SunnyL · 07/06/2013 13:26

Congrats on another baby.

This morning I've had a bit of pink show and have had a sore back all night. Fingers crossed this is a sign!

MrsBri · 07/06/2013 13:31

Ooh, come on Baby Sunny! :-) Fingers crossed for you.

pinkbear82 · 07/06/2013 13:31

mrsbri I was quite pleased they said I could come home as they were happy with everything. probably because my midwife that I had been seeing in the run up was there and that gave me a lot of confidence - plus I'm very lucky that she seems to be settling into breast feeding amazingly well.

mw just been and happy with everything too which is fab.

with the name - it's one of my mum's middle names but that wasn't the deciding factor. Smile dp and I were really struggling to settle on a girl's name and really were going through everything and one day we both said Violet - and it just kept coming back up each time we discussed names!

pinkapples · 07/06/2013 14:23

Awww congratulations again pinkbear sounds like your now having a great time with baby and I'm glad she's feeding ok

I've been busy all morning went for a birthday breakfast with hubby then shopping Grinso spent some pennies and got a lovely summer dress for baby I also got a £50 voucher for next but figured I'd save that for post baby clothes as in a week I could potentially have less of a bump Grin

I do have a question tho... Every time I go to the toilet for a wee I feel like baby is right there! Then when I'm done and I stand up I feel like I'm pushing her back in it is really weird obviously she's not there and I know babies don't just fall out,.. Is that just pressure pushing everything down?

rrreow · 07/06/2013 15:11

Hi everyone quick update. The sweep yesterday worked!

Zephyr Ocean was born at home at 5.03am weighing 3.6kg.

It was a more difficult birth for me than with DS1 but I am so glad I got my natural homebirth despite having OC. Up until about 6cm I felt very in control and experienced the contractions more as pressure rather than pain. After that it became more difficult to use hypnobirthing techniques and I was also just so exhausted. My waters didn't break until 15 mins before he was born. That probably contributed to things being a bit slow along with his healthy weight (taking into account I was only 38+5/6 and DS1 was born as a dinky 2.8kg!).

Zephyr is doing well apart from his temperature being a bit low. He's having lots of skin to skin with his daddy as my body temperature just isn't warm enough. Midwife coming back to check him again at 5.30pm so fingers crossed he'll have warmed up by then. He's already been on the boob a few times and he's so gorgeous and alert!

pinkapples · 07/06/2013 15:13

Congrats rrreow what an unusual name love it though Grin

Hope everything goes ok with midwife i bet daddy's happy with all the cuddles hehe

Sarah2506 · 07/06/2013 15:19

And another one: Polly Madeleine was born at 956 weighing 7lb1. It was all quite civilised and calm though I have quite some pain now! She's very sweet:-)

Top tip: shave/ wax bikini line. Mine was hacked off on my bed. The bits are still on my blanket. It's pretty grim!

MrsBri · 07/06/2013 15:37

Congrats rrreow and Sarah :-)

Fantastic to see more babies coming along.

Feels like there isn't many of us left now!

Pinkapples, happy birthday! Sounds like you're having a lovely day.

Pinkbear, it sounds like Violet is settling right in. I'm glad she's feeding so well.

I'll update the stats thread if people like?

Steffanoid · 07/06/2013 15:51

pink apple's I feel exactly the same, I almost dont want to stand up again after I owe and think that if I wee hard enough I may start things off!

congrats guys and beautiful names Smile

rrreow · 07/06/2013 16:02

Congrats Sarah!

pinkapples · 07/06/2013 16:03

Glad it's not just me then steff how long have you got left now?

learnermummy · 07/06/2013 16:04

Congratulations rrreow and Sarah SmileSmileSmile. It really does feel like there aren't many of us left now and it's only 7th June!

Currently sitting in garden with my feet in the paddling pool. Only 38 +2 but def feel like baby will be late!

pinkapples · 07/06/2013 16:49

I'm still here with no baby learner... Feels like she is dragging it out 39+3 now and just want to meet her

I wonder how many of us there are left now with no babies

Sunbeam18 · 07/06/2013 16:55

So exciting that we have so many babies! Congratulations to everyone. Love the names.
I'm still waiting - 38 +3. Booked in for sweep on 20th if nothing has happened before. I had always thought he'd be born in week 38 but could be wrong!
Very impressed with all the positive birth stories x

MadameJ · 07/06/2013 16:55

Congratulations on all the new babies, I cant keep up!! Well after expecting another premmie, here I am at 38 weeks with not so much as a twinge (feels very odd). Hope everyone with new babies are well and all of us still pregnant are managing ok x

Olimoss · 07/06/2013 17:07

Massive congrats Rreow and Sarah!!

And Joe is coming home today, so is kind of like he's arriving all over again. A good day.....

Olimoss · 07/06/2013 17:09

I should say, now he's all official, Joe Felice Oliver (his dad is half Italian, hence the Felice, and it means luck, which I think we had a bit of, so....it's pronounced fill-ee-chay)...

MrsBri · 07/06/2013 17:26

That's fantastic news, Oli. Bet you can't wait.

And what a lovely name too. :-)

Steffanoid · 07/06/2013 17:48

pinkapples due Tuesday, although oh said he felt like he wouldn't be going to work next week when he left this afternoon so maybe he's got a sixth sense Hmm

I have been sat with my feet in the paddling pool, the dog got a bit over excited and snapped at tge water too much ending up with lots of thrown up water over the kitchen when we got back from the shop! also he's punctured a ring on the side and the bottom so the oh is letting it drain and patching it with duct tape at the bottom then refilling it for me to spend my weekend with feet in there, I did joke that if I got desperate and things went quickly we could have an alfresco water birth!

Steffanoid · 07/06/2013 17:48

glad Joe is coming home oil :-)

rrreow · 07/06/2013 18:12

Excellent news oli, well done you two. Lovely full name.
