Sarah - I had a day of mega swearing pre-The Big Day, and might I recommend a visit to a nice pub tonight for a glass of wine. I totally did that, helped me sleep.

Good luck!

pinkapples · 06/06/2013 13:28

Wow that's good news for tomorrow so jealous I just want to meet our little baby very sick of looking at the Moses basket and little outfits and packed hospital bag in my study starting to think shell never come out! I'm 39+2 today my birthday tomorrow so something to look forward to me and hubby are going out for the day... If my elephant feet can take it! And hopefully a baby in the coming week fingers crossed

Good to know all the babies are starting to improve but crap that you've been banned

Hawkmoth · 06/06/2013 13:30

Good news and good luck for tomorrow Sarah.

Baby has just impulse bought a Father's Day gift!

Just had an actually painful twinge, so we're off to the park to chase DS round on his go kart.

rrreow · 06/06/2013 13:45

Good luck Sarah!!

38+5 today. I've got a sweep with my midwife in a few hours. Bit apprehensive (and embarrassed about my piles...) but I'd REALLY like to have this baby naturally and at home.

MrsBri · 06/06/2013 13:52

Yay, that's such good news, Sarah :-) So jealous!

And that's rubbish that you've been banned, Oli. But such good news that Joe is on the mend.

pinkapples · 06/06/2013 14:34

I've got a midwife appointment on Tuesday when ill be 40 weeks can I ask for a sweep then I really want to have this baby now everything is so uncomfortable but can't really complain I'm lying on a sun lounger with an ice lolly at the moment GrinGrin

Sarah2506 · 06/06/2013 14:37

Thanks all! I'm sat under a tree right now with a giant Jaffa cake. Waitrose now do them:-) Then home to repack and do some washing. I assume babies still wear onesies etc even though its warmer now? Then I think we will go to the pub over the road for a glass of wine and a bowl of nachos, then home to not in any way sleep before D day!

AmIGoingMad · 06/06/2013 15:14

Oo Sarah how exciting! Smile

It's a pain that they've banned you oli even tho you know it's best for joe it must be so difficult! Fingers crossed youre ok soon so that you can get back to see him asap.

Ive started on the raspberry leaf tablets now. Starting with one after each meal today then will start to up it! Off to hotel for fri and say night just me and DH so if this little one can hold on then and then start arriving on mon that would be ideal- but what are the chances of that hey!

Starting to get more anxious now if I'm honest so I just want her here before I work myself up too much!

Nothing from Pinkbear or forget so maybe there's some movement there? I hope all's going well!

Sarah2506 · 06/06/2013 16:29

Other section ladies- I live in a second floor flat. Could you have navigated the stairs after a couple of days? No lift!

forgetmenots · 06/06/2013 16:44

Thanks all for good wishes :) am being induced tonight! So hopefully a baby very soon! Lovely to see so many babies coming, good luck for tomorrow Sarah!

curiousgeorgie · 06/06/2013 16:44

Sarah - I discharged myself two days after my section and was able to do the stairs but very slowly and with a couple of breaks. After about 7-10 days though I can honestly say I felt completely fine, I was out walking with the pram, shopping, carrying the carseat into restaurants etc and practically no pain.

I remember the night before mine DH and I went to our local pub for a meal and it was so exciting... Like the night before Christmas! Good luck!!

I've been so adamant that I want this baby to come as soon as possible, but today, playing in the garden with my DD I felt really tearful that it won't just be the two of us anymore.. My little best friend!!

curiousgeorgie · 06/06/2013 16:45

And DH of course! Oops... Haha

DontmindifIdo · 06/06/2013 16:59

Hi Sarah, i'm home now after C section on Tuesday, stairs were hard today! I've only had to cope with getting up mine to bed, and that is where i'm intending to stay for the rest of hte day. (I have laptop, chocolate and a snuggly new little lady on me). The hardest bit is not using your core muscles, but your legs and arms, it's very hard to remember to drag yourself effectively, doyou have good banisters? dont tihnk about carrying anything up those stairs and give yourself time. alternatively, could your DP carry you?

SunnyL · 06/06/2013 17:00

All this talk of sweeps is making me jealous. My next appointment I'll be 41+5 and that's only to come up with a plan of getting bubs out. No fair!

Just spent the afternoon at the sewing machine making chair covers. Last time I had the false start it was after a day on the sewing machine so maybe I've given things another push??

pinkapples · 06/06/2013 17:08

Awww forget how exciting Grin so jealous!

No twinges here only braxton hicks I want her here so badly but now she needs to stay there at least till Saturday hehe sounds awful but I don't want to share my birthday Grin then she's got Saturday-Thursday to make an appearance as my sister also doesn't want to share hers either

Sounds like a fab day baby snuggles and chocolate in bed Grin

redwellybluewelly · 06/06/2013 17:10

Baby girl arrived this morning after a straightforward CS, 8lb 2oz ! Somewhat bigger than the 'small' baby we were predicted. Very rubbish Internet access, update later

Congratulations red - hope your enjoying cuddles now Thanks

Sarah2506 · 06/06/2013 17:20

Thanks guys! And congratulations red- I figured it had to be today as I knew you'd be before me:-) Name yet?

dontmind DH looks horrified at the carrying suggestion. Possibly cos I weigh 95kgs today, and he is around 73. I guess I loose about a stone tomorrow but def not enough for him to offer! Bannister is good though and at least once I'm up the stairs I don't have to deal with them again until I'm ready to go out.

DontmindifIdo · 06/06/2013 17:21

redwelly, yay! look forward to hearing about it later.

learnermummy · 06/06/2013 17:30

Congratulations redwelly Smile, so glad it was straightforward for you.

cupcake78 · 06/06/2013 17:37
