the bucket if water didn't work, was cool in the end though, tge dog however LOVED it (especially when I started throwing cupfulls on the patio - he thought it was a game and ended up drenched and very happy Grin )

Your not the only one maw I want our little baby here to the lack of ability to move is doing my head in and elephant feet definitely taking the mick... I've always had such dainty feet now their horrendous

Mawgatron · 04/06/2013 19:04

My feet aren't too bad, it is my fingers that look like massive sausages! Looking forward to putting my wedding ring back on at some point!

I am a right mardy cow ATM though. Dh keeps coming in later than he says (only by half an hour or so) but because I have been alone all day I am all needy and naggy when he gets in. He is only trying to work as hard as poss before baby arrives (he is a decorator and self employed) so he can afford a few days off, and I know I am being unreasonable but I just can't help myself. Damn hormones!

SunnyL · 04/06/2013 19:26

Mawg I'm loving the sun. Aside from the quick trip to the MW I've been outside all day. Contemplated taking the sewing machine into the garden (not the flipping ironing) but then fell asleep on the picnic rug. Hey ho! I do have the same problem with my silly dog though. She's roasting but can't tear herself away from us. Contemplating getting her a paddling pool but worried he might do a swan dive into it and burst it on first outing.

DontmindifIdo · 04/06/2013 19:36

Hi all, just to say, after being team yellow and being certain it was a boy, my little girl was born this morning, Eloise weighing in at 7lb3oz via elcs

Redwelly, I couldn't get skin to skin, but did do cheek to cheek, and then skin to skin in recovery, about 20 mins later. She's been feeding ok, but v sleepy - its so hot and the air on isn't working trying to get her to feed more often, bet she wakes up when the temp drops tonight and I get no sleep!

DontmindifIdo · 04/06/2013 19:38

Elsabel, I vote Robyn too!

redwellybluewelly · 04/06/2013 19:43

Thats just brilliant news, been watching all day, how are you feeling? You're my trailblazer so keep me posted! We've a portable fan which were keeping in the back of our car just in case the wards are stifling.

(Can you tell yet I'm absolutely fecking terrified?)

Bit Envy of all the people having girls

pinkbear82 · 04/06/2013 20:16

ginauk84 · 04/06/2013 20:21

Wow congrats both on the new arrivals! My cousin is an Eloise and a colleague had a baby last week called Eloise - such a pretty name.

It's my last week at work hoorah!

Steffanoid · 04/06/2013 20:24

learnermummy · 04/06/2013 20:42

Congrats dontmind Smile. Love her name too.

Mawgatron I'm loving the sunshine too. Everyone keeps saying it must be too hot for me, but I'm just fine, particularly when have nothing particular to do like today!

AmIGoingMad · 04/06/2013 20:52

Congratulations dontmind! Such a lovely name too! Smile

Redwelly when are you going in? I can't remember but know its very soon.

Littlemissexpecting · 04/06/2013 20:59

Congrats don't mind, beautiful name Thanks
I'm enjoying the sun, but struggling with the swollen feet. Really want to go out for walks but then I put my flip flops on and change my mind!

pinkapples · 04/06/2013 21:07

Congrats dontmind! Thanks Lovely name too!

I'm the same littlemiss want to walk the dogs so bad but just know ill regret it when I start so they hang out in the garden with me all day till hubby gets in to walk them

Seriously considering batch cooking though as I've been home 2 full days and by the time 5pm rolls round I really can't be bothered to cook so god knows what ill be like when I have a baby x

pinkbear82 · 04/06/2013 21:11

just had to look back over today to see if we had heard from mrsbri - I see we did this morning. suddenly wondered if we'd be hearing any news from her!

cycle and oli hope your days are getting a bit easier - thinking of you both.

Sarah2506 · 04/06/2013 21:15

I have just ordered a small fan from John Lewis to take in for my ELCS which I wonder/hope/fear will be Friday. Wonder if they will let me plug it in?! Guess can return it if not.

I enjoyed the weather- walked to midwife and then went to sit in meadow after. Was lush. Though I always forget that we burn so much quicker at the moment!! Got the cool community midwife not the simpering fool. She said sipping water the morning of CS would be fine. I like this advice!!

DontmindifIdo · 04/06/2013 21:18

Redwelly, I'm ok but so tired, I wasn't expecting to be so sleepy! The staff were fabulous, although trying to get me up and about now, it hurts to get up.

Thankyou for all the nice wishes!

MrsBri · 04/06/2013 21:30

Congrats, Dontmind. Beautiful name. I'm wondering if we will have a girl now as I'm convinced boy! :-) I hope you don't melt in there!

Pink, don't worry, nothing here to report apart from regular mild contractions. Not getting worse or closer together, so assuming it is prolonged BH. I've just been concentrating on the cross stitch which is now complete (apart from name, date and weight).

I also HAD to get my housework done today too for some reason. So it's been a busy day here.

I wish my contractions would just become the real thing or FRO. Going to have a bath now in the hope it eases everything.

So, whose baby is next?! :-)

Sarah2506 · 04/06/2013 21:44

Btw did you see the heels Kate Middleton wore today? I'd topple over!

Sunbeam18 · 04/06/2013 21:50

That sounds like pre-labour nesting, MrsBri! You might be next!!

AlohaMama · 04/06/2013 22:06

Couldn't even wear shoes like that when not pregnant! The only way I can manage heels is if they're wedges so I've got some stability. I'm not cut out for high fashion me!

AlohaMama · 04/06/2013 22:10

oops didn't see your post mrsbri - hope things go one way or another for you! can you sleep?

btw who said babies movements are less in later pregnancy. this one will not stop squirming i feel like i'm being pushed every which way inside. it is not making it easy to work not that i can be bothered now anyway

ginauk84 · 04/06/2013 22:19

Aloha - yep me too, she moves more than ever and is so forceful with her movements it hurts!

I never wear heels either - have never been able to walk in them let alone being pregnant and unbalanced lol.
