red - I can't believe after all this promise of support they're going back on everything they said. sorry you're being dealt with so badly.

good luck everyone on for tomorrow! and devil, hope things kick in soon!!

just back from my weekly appt, am now 2.5cm dilated (was 1.5 cm 2 weeks ago), still 50% effaced and baby is now engaged. not sure what that tells me. apparently i'll 'probably' be early. i just need 1 more week to be ready. i'd love to have the house finished and be able to treat ds before he looses his only child status. poor boy's entertainment is currently watching mummy and daddy do DI. which is fun. but not as fun as playing at the beach!

AlohaMama · 03/06/2013 21:05

Oh and only 3 more days at work after today. Hurrah!!

Steffanoid · 03/06/2013 21:10

good luck tonight/tomorrow guys, hoping for healthy speedy births Smile

Littlemissexpecting · 03/06/2013 21:19

Good luck ladies looking forward to all the birth announcement soon.
I've got mw tomorrow so hoping I'm more engaged

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 21:33

AmI, it's good that we've both forgotten. I don't feel so bad now! :-) I'm back there next week if you remember and don't ask your own.

elsabel · 03/06/2013 22:01

Hi ladies. My baby girl was born at 6.26 this morning weighing 6lb 15oz. Very long awful labout they had to do forceps in the end. Stil no name thoug, toying between mollie and robyn

pinkapples · 03/06/2013 22:05

Steffanoid · 03/06/2013 22:13

congrats elsabel

im getting some weird feelings down there Confused a bit like pressure, a bit like im about to lee myself almost but not if that makes sense

learnermummy · 03/06/2013 22:16

Congratulations Elsabel Smile. Love Mollie. Molly is on my short list.

Good luck tomorrow ladies.

Having a trial inflation of the birthing pool here - much bigger than i remember the last one being!

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 22:16

Congrats Elsabel. I'm sure baby was worth the labour :-)

I love Mollie too.

AlohaMama · 03/06/2013 22:26

Congrats Elsabel, enjoy the snuggles, they'll help you forget!!

redwellybluewelly · 03/06/2013 22:36

Well done elsabel - baby here safe and sound, be gentle on yourself and take some time to recover, Mollie and Robyn are both very pretty names.

dontmind cannot have skin to skin due to lack of room although several others on the ELCS thread in Chat didn't have an issue and baby has to be taken off for checks rather than as my consultant said could be left on me. No.option to meet delivery team (again agreed would reduce anxiety) and no lowering curtain to see baby lifted out etx etc

I do better understand why they've said no to other things, like a clear sided cot (PN ward use wooden ones you can't see into and there are clear sided ones used in other wards) because of infection transfer, and also one MW offered an apnea alarm for first 24hours but paeds said no. CMW meant to attend but now can't. Just a whole host of promises ans reassurances whoch were made and now seems the peopple who promised them didnt tell the people who should be carrying them out. I have no faith left in this hospital at all.

Congrats Elsa.baby out safe and sound is the best result all round.

Red sorry things are pish. Hope it doesnt stress you out but look forward to your little one too.

Just came close to first hormone induced midnight violence on DH. He is such a fidget in bed. He's been on night shift the last 4 days and i've been sleeping beautifically. Tonight i just counted him - he rolled over 9 times in 20 minutes. 9 times!!! Feel like getting some of those straps they use on mental patients and tying him to the bed. I'm now in the spare room in the huff with him.

elsabel · 04/06/2013 03:01

Thanks everyone for your congrats. She is so perfect, and such a good girl, although keeping me up all nught wanting cuddles, but thats fine with me.

Let have some more babies now ive got the ball rolling...hope you are close steff.

suzyrut · 04/06/2013 07:38

Hi all,

It has been months since I posted, but just wanted to drop a very very belated note to say that after 5 weeks of being in and out of hospital my daughter Beatrice was born on 26th April weighing 4lbs 5ozs. she was in neonatal for a week and a half because of breathing and feeding issues but has been home with us for 4 weeks now. I couldn't breast feed because of all the medication unfortunately but she's doing we'll and nearly 6lb now.

I will try to catch up with the threads but massive congrats to everyone who's delivered already and good luck to all those still due xx

redwellybluewelly · 04/06/2013 08:04

Hi Suzy Thanks congratulations on Beatrice Thanks but I'm sorry about the rough start x

Congratulations Suzy and glad to hear you're home now and doing well after Beatrice's early arrival.

Sarah2506 · 04/06/2013 08:37

Red that pretty much sucks though not entirely surprising. I went in with a list of requests, prompted by numerous things I've read suggesting they would be accommodated. But was then told no, it's the surgeons theatre and it would be up to him on the day. Things like lowering the screen just weren't an option. I didn't ask to meet the team or anything like that but suspect they would say they have no idea who is working that morning. I still don't know which hospital and which date I'm going in on. I have pre op on Thursday and hopefully will know more then but I'm not hopeful. The attitude seems to be that I have more certainty than most women in that I know roughly what will happen and I shouldn't push my luck asking for more!

MrsBri · 04/06/2013 08:43

Congratulations, Suzy. I'd been wondering about you and whether you were ok. Beatrice is a lovely name. :-)

Babybeann · 04/06/2013 09:20

morning everyone :)

congratulation to all the new arrivels!!!

having a hard time lately im being seen by mw 4 times a week and its getting a bit much. im having bp checks and sample checks. im happy that she is keeping a close eye as id worry if not. yesterday i had okay bp but a + of protine so ive had to drop a sample to the doctors for it to be sent away. feel like this baby is never comimg out im 37 weeks today and theyve been talking about induction since 33 weeks. when i have high bp they send me to hospital and i get there and do the bp manualy and say its not high enough to do anything go home. this has happened 4 times now.
feb up!!! i have to get my mum to watch ds at short notice and feel awful whem se has to finish work early. i was induced with ds and was really wanting to avoid it this time now i feel like it would make life alot easier on everyone if they did induce.
sorry for my long rant just needed to get it out.
but hay its june!!!!!

Littlemissexpecting · 04/06/2013 11:27

Congrats Elsabel and Suzy!! Thanks

rrreow · 04/06/2013 11:34

Congrats Elsabel! I love the name Robyn. Really like the spelling.

Congrats Suzy! Glad to hear your girl is doing well after what I imagine was a worrying first few weeks.

rrreow · 04/06/2013 11:38

DH and I DTD yesterday evening, but unfortunately no result Sad just some mild cramping overnight but I've been experiencing similar anyway.

Got a sweep booked on Thursday with my midwife. Then going into ante-natal for monitoring on Friday (and will have to seriously consider induction at that point I think). I'm just really hoping it will happen naturally today or tomorrow!

I am mentally preparing for the possibility of induction though. One of the positive points would be that I might be able to have a waterbirth (labour ward has one pool).

arlandria666 · 04/06/2013 12:09

DS had a weight increase today! lets hope he continues to go in the right direction! he is currently milk drunk and 'sleeping like a baby' so i am going to catch up on some much needed sleep too!
congratulations on new arrivals xx
