Good news for us today as Baby B is now ceph, long and fixed, so engaging. Thank god the lightning crotch wasn't it vain! She told me about 3/5, but didn't put that on my notes.

I've had my bloods re-taken in case of OC as I'm still itching but everything else seemed fine.

Have to go back next week to make sure we have blood results and everything is OK.

Measurements are fine now too, so no need to worry about growth now.

Just remembered I was meant to ask something, but no idea what it was. Sorry to whoever is waiting for an answer :-/ Never trust a preggo to remember anything!

forgetmenots · 03/06/2013 15:47

Great news Mrsbri - get on a birthing ball to keep him there! I am so crossing my fingers that mine will have become a bit more focused! :-)

pinkapples · 03/06/2013 15:49

Good news from me to (although its not the birth of baby) that the police have found the dog and owner that attacked my dog so the dog warden will now deal with it and hopefully get him an order to at least muzzle it in public woohoo!Grin

rrreow · 03/06/2013 15:50

Snap MrsBri we're pretty much at the same stage then!

I think about 25% of people experience itching in pregnancy, but the percentage of people getting OC in the UK is about 0.7% so it's pretty rare (does depend on your ethnic background though, I think I'm more at risk because I'm half Sri Lankan). Most itching is harmless although incredibly annoying. Do your palms of hands / soles of feet itch?

rrreow · 03/06/2013 15:51

Oh excellent pinkapples I'm so pleased that they've found him and will make him take responsibility. How is your dog doing?

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 15:57

They did say at the hospital that it was probably hormonal. The tests were just re-taken as precaution more than anything, I think.

Everywhere itches, including my hands and feet. The Piriton hasn't touched it, sadly. At least my hayfever has improved with it though!

And fantastic news, pink. Can you take any action to recover your costs from him now?

learnermummy · 03/06/2013 16:03

Fantastic news pinkapples Smile

pinkapples · 03/06/2013 16:06

Good news about your hayfever despite the itching

Dog is doing ok getting cross that she's still on lead walks but we can't risk the stitches in her muscle tearing so she's got another week of it Sad

We didn't pay as we claimed on the insurance but well see what the warden says to be fair I'd be happy with it being muzzled so it can't do it to any other dog

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 16:15

At least you didn't have to pay. Your insurance co may want to try to recover it though, so it may be worth asking them.

Poor pooch having unsatisfactory walks. They don't quite understand it is for their own benefit, do they?!

Steffanoid · 03/06/2013 16:22

brilliant pink, if nothing else they'll have to have a muzzle om it and should keep a check on it, I really dont get irresponsible dog owners

arlandria666 · 03/06/2013 16:34

redwelly a breast feeding specialist from sure start came to see me last Thursday she was lovely she rang me today and got more tears from me she is fantastic tho she is coming to see me again Thursday. There are a couple of cafes local to me but one is tomorrow morning and the midwife is coming back to weigh him,if all is well there is one on a Wednesday morning which i may attend i feel like i have come to far to give up i really enjoy breast feeding (his feeding has been observed by 2 midwifes and the specialist) and DS enjoys it will keep on going and tomorrow morning will keep him constantly on the boob til they've weighed him! i am going to make sure DH is in tomorrow he was registering the birth today when they came, DH is tall and skinny and DS is very long, i think they should take that into consideration too maybe they just look at short dumpy me and think he should be the same lol!

mrsbri glad baby is finally in the right place! hopefully will get to see some more photos of the new arrivals soon! hurry up babies :-)

rrreow · 03/06/2013 16:42

Check if you can't pursue compensation from the dog owner as after you make a claim your insurance premium is likely to go up next year (this happened to us when our cat had an accident).

thedevilisinthedetail · 03/06/2013 17:39

They decided to induce me at 39 Weeks, i'm about to go for my first hospital walk around post pessary...hope it's not to long!

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 17:42

Good luck, devil! :-)

pinkapples · 03/06/2013 18:05

Wow devil exciting! Keep us posted Grin

DontmindifIdo · 03/06/2013 18:06

good luck devil!

I've just repacked my bags, C Section tomorrow! oh lord I'm panicking, someone is going to cut open my belly and pull the baby out tomorrow morning (or at least I hope it's the morning, I can't be doing with waiting round all day).

Big pile of Thai food for dinner tonight planned, currently letting DS eat treats while watching TV, it's his last day as an only child after all...

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 18:18

Bloody hell, Dontmind!

Exciting and scary all rolled into one.

pinkapples · 03/06/2013 18:29

Ahhhh more babies coming at least it's June now Grin

forgetmenots · 03/06/2013 18:41

Good luck devil and don'tmind! So exciting! :)

rrreow · 03/06/2013 18:50

Good luck both of you!!

I had some period type pains earlier but they've gone away again (I think it's because of being too busy.. my body is like, ok not right now as I need to cook dinner).

pinkbear82 · 03/06/2013 19:45

Good luck ladies!! How exciting!!

Officially due on Wednesday! Although by my dates its tomorrow but, I won't argue over 24 hours!! No signs of anything yet, apart from real pressure in 'that area' guessing that'll only get worse.

Everyone keeps telling me to keep my legs crossed in the hope that DP gets home...... I keep smiling sweetly and reminding them I am not in control and what will happen will happen.

Online shopping came today and I was pleased to see I'd ordered some muffins as a treat (think I did the order when there was. Lot of cake talk going on) so after having a bit of an energy boost since dinner I am going to go and enjoy a muffin or two with a nice glass of milk.

redwellybluewelly · 03/06/2013 19:53

Good luck dontmind you're a hell of a lot more positive than I am! Hope they don't keep you waiting too long to meet baby. I'm also attempting to spoil our DD but she is being a little rotbag (I'm sure sensing our new arrival) and its making it difficult! DH allowed a very generous budget to get her a gift from baby and I may have accidentally doubled it Grin

Also good luck to you devil I hope things go well.

pink thats fabulous news about the dog and owner being traced, I'm sure your insurance company will seek to recover damages?

arlandria sounds like you have a good contact there - I really hope that you get what you wish for, most BFing takes six weeks to establish and supply to settle so slowly but surely x

I'm still in denial, nesting has kicked in though and house is tidy and almost spotless. Saw MW today and baby 3/5 engaged, and bump nice and low. Had my pre op last Friday and was told none of my wishes (which the consultant suggested I think to persuade me to have the CS) can be met. This has been a rocky rocky road and I've also been let down by my community MW who assured me she would be there.

forgetmenots · 03/06/2013 19:58

redwelly I'm shocked by that given your past experiences - have they given you any decent reason? Really hope things get easier, that must be so hard.

DontmindifIdo · 03/06/2013 20:13

Redwelly - I'm just trying not to think about it too much, just not focusing on the birth itself but the moment I get into recovery and get to hold my new baby. I just trying to think if there's anything else that needs to be done tonight...

What did you want that you can't have?

AmIGoingMad · 03/06/2013 20:20

Red they're not being supportive or at all helpful are they? Crazy when you think about your previous experiences.

Devil and dontmind- good luck! Very exciting!

Massage and arlandria I hope you get the support you need. So frustrating!

Pinkapples I'm so happy that they've tracked the git down! Bet he didn't see that coming.

Mrsbri- it was me you were going to ask a question for but I can't remember what it was either! Pregnancy brain does exist, no matter what the scientists say!Grin

Well I made today my last day in work! So I'm off to buy raspberry leaf tablets tomrw and will start bouncing on my ball!
