claphammama · 10/06/2013 15:06

yay hayley!! Only 12 weeks to go!!!

Haylebop12 · 10/06/2013 15:13

umlauf it is pretty cool yes but when it's read out if he gets married I don't think it'll have the same effect Grin

legallyblond · 10/06/2013 15:39

Hi all! Sorry not to have clicked in for a few days - been tired and, I suppose understandably, worrying lots about losing the twins / them arriving very prem etc. All seems ok for now. I had a scare yesterday with some dark brown bleeding. Phoned the labour ward and as it got no worse and I am having no pains (and feeling the babies do somersaults!) they think it's fine... I hate the worry though! 1 September (36 weeks) is my goal at the moment! I'm 24+2 now....

Nice to hear everyone's news as I am on bed rest which is so so dull!!!

legallyblond · 10/06/2013 15:40

Oh, and the name's we've decided on (need 4!!!) are Hugo, Ralf, Valentina and Zara.

Flyer747 · 10/06/2013 15:44

DP is also irritating me, on Friday night he went out with friends, he rolled in at 4.30am pissed as a fart, with 2 of his mates ( who were staying at ours) and they were so loud (DP has a fog horn of a voice normally, add drink and you can imagine) woke me up...By this stage I was so pissed off I went down stairs and my exact words were "will you all shut the f*@k up" infact I think I screamed it! Now his friends probably think I'm a total psycho!!

Irishfairy · 10/06/2013 15:49

Yes taking, I'll get some of those lovely stocking too... thanks for reminding me Smile and thanks for the tips flyer.

Feminist DD has a Raphael (nnRaffy) at her nursery... Don't think it's after the turtle though!

I also have trouble with the bust size of maternity swimwear. My chest always dwarfs my bump for the longest time so swimsuits are usually too small on top and too big everywhere else. We are going on holidays this Saturday and I've gotten some Kelly Brook bikinis from Newlook which I really like. You can buy separate sizes for top and bottom, the prices are reasonable and the tips are supportive, most are underwired and the sizes go big. I'm a 10/12 on the bottom and a 34G on top right now!
Thanks claphammama I'll go have a peek at the list now.

Natalieand · 10/06/2013 15:50

hayle it doesn't sound ungrateful about your dh being off work for a month and ruining your routine, my dh only has Wednesday off work and when he's here it screws our routine up big time., she plays up more cos he's so soft on her and I like things done in a certain order in the mornings and certain jobs done b4 I leave the house and when he's home it all goes out the window then she gets upset going to playschool so I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to it either lol. Which like u say does sound mean to outsiders but its what you get used to in your own little lives isn't it

Irishfairy · 10/06/2013 15:51

Glad to hear your news legally but must be stressful with all the worry. Love the names!

Natalieand · 10/06/2013 15:52

Sorry forgot to add

legally that's good that the babies are still cooking away and that the bleeding has subsided, I'm no doctor but as brown blood is typically old blood could it be where they nicked u with the needle that u mentioned b4? 36 weeks sounds like a good healthy goal :-) how exciting they u r most likely going to be the first delivery kicking off with 2 babies :-)

Flyer747 · 10/06/2013 15:53

Glad to hear all ok legally, and hope the bleeding doesn't return... X

Umlauf · 10/06/2013 15:55

Hi legally glad to see you here and resting! Are you well stocked up on DVDs and TV series?! I can recommend iplayer and 4od! You will in all likelihood kick us all off with your babies! When is 36 weeks, early September? Late August even?! Definitely feeling them wriggling around is good!

cazboldy · 10/06/2013 16:00

Hi legally nice to "see" you, I can feel my LO a lot now, must be strange to feel 2!!

umlauf I got a nice plain black swimsuit from mothercare, and then wear a black bra underneath as it has no support. ( i do this usually too!)

claphammama · 10/06/2013 16:26

really good to hear from you legally! How long will you be on bed rest? Or are you signed off and on bed rest until the birth? Hope the babies stay inside as long as possible! My friend had twin girls at 27 weeks five years ago. It was far from ideal and not easy for the first few months but now they are both 5, perfectly healthy and strong, two bundles of energy, and have never ever had any complications. Just wanted to share this story as I found it really encouraging and, after 24 weeks, 27 weeks will be my next personal milestone! Love the names by the way

flyer I love your style. I think I would be exactly the same knowing my temper! DP was snoring terribly after too much red wine on Saturday night and I think he may be slightly bruised now from my kicks...

Haylebop12 · 10/06/2013 16:27

legally sorry about your care but looks like things re looking good Smile

natalie dh is super soft on dd then gets annoyed when she plays up. He's getting better so for instance if I'm woking till 9 he wouldn't put her to bed at a decent time but he has had her in bed at 8 the last two nights. She's like a devil when she's tired. He can aso be rather lazy which understandable when he's been working so hard but if he's off work I need him to be useful at home.

takingachance · 10/06/2013 16:33

Oh legally poor you on bed rest, but glad things are progressing ok for you x

Lucky you flyer with company upgrades, I would always feel too cheeky to ask as just joe public, so yes, fingers crossed for a sympathetic crew on the day Smile

Sounds like swimsuits might be more difficult than i thought then - as I am definitely huger on top than in the bump right now, but in 8 weeks time, who knows!

Finally enjoying some sunshine here in Stornoway - think it is maybe the one time of the year we get better weather than the rest of the UK - a lovely 20 degrees today, which, believe me, is extremely unusual for up here!!

Flyer747 · 10/06/2013 16:34

Claphammama what is it with these blokes snoring after too much red wine?! I literally wanted to punch DP In the head everytime he drinks, my pregnancy rage is getting out of hand! Lol

TheCatIsUpTheDuff · 10/06/2013 16:40

Oh, I can sympathise with the drunken husbands! We went to a wedding last weekend, stayed in a hotel so I couldn't disappear to the spare room. DH comes up to bed at 3am, eats cake noisily in bed then snores like a walrus until the ducks outside our window begin their dawn chorus! I could have happily smothered him! I blame the mates (with kids) who were telling him to take advantage of being able to drink while he still can!

In more serious grumblings, DH's car has been declared terminally knackered. It's a good job my DSister's given us loads of baby stuff, the new car's going to take a big chunk of our available savings - i.e. most of it. Grrr. :-( And it was a lovely car, he was really fond of it.

claphammama · 10/06/2013 16:46

I also can't stand him drinking these days. He thinks it's my frustration as I can't drink but it's not - drinking people are simply irritating when I'm sober. Personally, I prefer kicking to punching in the head - more likely to turn on the other side and stop snoring in my ear. :-) I also regularly wear earplugs, this is how I survive. I think he may be banned to the guest room once the baby is born and I can't wear earplugs...

Pregnancy rage here too... got so annoyed with a few people at work today that literally felt my blood boil... and I keep being super irritated by this upcoming stag do and him being away for four nights. It comes to me now and then totally out of the blue and I then spend half an hour seething...

MotherOfNations · 10/06/2013 17:16

I'm with you all on the drunken husbands and partners. I'm not a fan of Dp's drinking at the best of times but now I can't stand it. He gets very drunk very fast and I don't understand it because he's 18 stone and pre pregnancy I could drink all night and not be staggering around making a pest of myself.

I've spent this afternoon googling names that mean "miracle" or something along thise lines. I've found the Hebrew name Eliana which means "answered by God" and while I'm not massively religious we've done a lot of praying the past few months and it looks like they've been answered.

34PinkLadyApple · 10/06/2013 17:23

Hi Ladies. I'm also in the annoying drunk partners club. Mine tells me how grumpy and boring I get EVERYTIME he's had a few just because I'm not singing laughing and joking around with him (because I'm not p1ssed). Funny, cos when he is sober he doesn't think I'm grumpy and boring but he doesn't think it's me being normal and him being drunk. Anyway, I'm 24.5 weeks today and I have my 24 week midwife appointment in the morning. Anyone else had theirs? (sorry I haven't caught up on thread at work). My H2B told me yesterday he does;t want to have any more nookie as 'its weird now'. Great Sad. Makes me feel really attractive. I said, can;t you just 'sort me out without looking at the bump' but that was a no. He still wanted me to help him out if you know what I mean. Angry.

Hows everyone elses nookie lives?

Natalieand · 10/06/2013 17:25

I love that idea MoN I'm not religious either but it certainly seems someone/something has been on your side :-)

Dh snores regardless of whether he's been drinking nothing a few Swift punches/kicks in the ribs won't fix lol

34PinkLadyApple · 10/06/2013 17:26

Sorry ladies. I don;t write anything for ages and I go and drag the thread down to my sordid level Blush!

Natalieand · 10/06/2013 17:28

Sorry 34 we cross posted, my sex drive is definately up I want it all the time but dh isn't so keen. He too says its a bit weird, but he isn't me asking to tend to his needs although tbh I wish he would cos then I could ask in return lol

I've got midwife tommorow ill be 22+1 xx

MotherOfNations · 10/06/2013 17:44

My Dp hasn't been put off by me being pregnant. He's always said that he finds pregnant women sexy. I feel a bit self conscious as I don't have the nice neat bump other pregnant women have. Because of a previous 10 stone weight loss and then going on to have 4 children I have a lot of loose skin that not even pregnancy fills up.

roofio87 · 10/06/2013 17:44

I was looking forward to the second trimester libido surge, its yet to happen!! I really like my pregnancy body, I just feel a bit weird and uncomfortable with my very wriggly baby in there!!
my exercise ball arrived today so will get working on my pelvic exercises!! (for birth, not related to previous comment!! Grin )
