Good luck to today's scanners! Please let us know how you get on.

Fingers crossed for you today MoN

Glad everything went well legally. I hope you get plenty of rest this week!

Warlin · 06/06/2013 09:01

Great news legally. Hope you are able to rest ok and I'm sure the stitch will do it's job.

Good luck today moN. Hopefully you will be peace of mind finally. And enjoy your lunch out! Very jealous as I'm stuck in work again while the weather outside is gorgeous...grr

I dont' really have strecth marks (bar a few faint white ones from puberty). DS came at 37 and although I was huge, I've heard they often come in the last couple of weeks so I was lucky enough. Last time I used Bio oil every day but this time I am being less fussy and hope I don't regret it.

I did the weirdest thing in my sleep last night. Don't fully remember but I must have sat up, got the glass of water from my bedside table and poured or spilt it all over my bed....It was soaked! Thankfully DH is away so I slept on his side...how bizarre though.

LAst day in work until Tue...yeah! And then only a few days next week until we go on holiday. Really really need a break from the routine. DH is home today thankfully.

Good luck to all scanees today. I find it weird that I now have no scans before the birth....? I made my 28 week apt with the midwife but it seems like a very long time not to be seeing my baby. I'm thinking of a private growth scan at some stage just to give me something to look forward to. Is anyone else doing this?

Haylebop12 · 06/06/2013 09:04

Thinking of you today MoN and sending you positive vibes.

SeriousStuff · 06/06/2013 09:40

Desperately trying to down a large mug of tea - have my 20 week scan finally in 30mins (today I'm 21+5) - wish me luck!

Good luck today MoN and great news legally!

Natalieand · 06/06/2013 09:52

Good luck today serious r u finding out babies flavour? (Sorry if u have said before I blame baby brain)

I'm quite fortunate/unfortunate dependant on what way u look at it - I get I scan at 28 and I think its 34 weeks (appts r booked already but can't remember the amount of weeks ill be) because I'm overweight they say they cannot accurately determine if baby is growing correctly by feeling/measuring my tummy so a scan has to be done. And I'll see the consultant at those scans too to keep
A check on my blood pressure as it was high for the whole of my last pregnancy and went well over the top when in labour I had to have drugs for it to bring it down quickly which meant they had to speed my labour up so the affects of the tablet didn't cross the placenta all worked out fine in the end though and at the beginning of this pregnancy (when it was twins) my bp was high but since I lost one of them it has returned to what is normal for me and has stayed like it since

Anyone else particularly starving ATM? 21+3

Wickedgirl · 06/06/2013 10:10

mrsaflowerpot....... Not only do we live very close, had "high" nt results, both using barnet.....we are due date buddies too!

Are you using the mlu at barnet?

Natalieand · 06/06/2013 10:22

flowerpot and wicked u could end up in the beds next to each other and not even no it lol

Flyer747 · 06/06/2013 10:38

Good Luck with the scans today ladies, I hope after a stressful few months after today MoN you can finally relax and enjoy the remainder of your pregnancy :-)

TheFalconsmistress · 06/06/2013 10:49

Good luck to the scenes today! Mon thinking of you xxxx

Umlauf · 06/06/2013 11:38

Hi! Great to hear from you legally just think, every day presents a smaller risk :-)

I've missed MON news, is she scanning today? Good luck if so!

flyer its an LED lamp so maybe curing times a little different? It said to do 30secs base, 1 min for each colour coat and then 30 secs top coat. Do you think I should try longer next time? My capping is definitely too thick I think, but last time I painted along the top just a fine layer and that came off quickly too... Hoping its just the colour! I've got a taupe on right now instead which is lurvely!

We've booked our ferry back to the UK for July I am so excited about visiting proper baby shops and seeing friends!! Mum is organising a party which I think she thinks is a baby shower - it is NOT a babyshower!!!

hayle really hope you don't have SPD after the hyperemesis. That would be a shitty pregnancy. It could be connected to muscles relaxing on your time off? My lower back is always agony in bed and I think its because all the muscles relax a bit after being up and down all day at school. Keep an eye on it xx

warlin that's so funny about your night time antics!!! Were you just very hot I wonder?!!!! Did your DH not notice?!!

funkky · 06/06/2013 11:40

Good luck to today's scanees!

hayle I always smile now reading your posts as I remember how hard it was for you early days when I used to be horrified thinking that's what being pg was going to be all through the 9 months. So glad you are a lot better now.

24 weeks yesterday, yay! Crossed that hurldle and tho I am huge am so glad, due date is 25sept. But initially worked it out for 1oct so am on the oct. bus.

I am really tired in the mornings but seem to pick up on energy afternoon/ evenings.

Bought a lot of the smaller baby stuff, clothes etc, but a not the cots, prams as just can't decide plus we are in the middle if buying house and a bit overwhelmed with all the shopping to be done.

TheFalconsmistress · 06/06/2013 11:50

I have been offered a bugaboo frog with all the stuff for 140 someone on thread said they had one but i can't remember who? What are they like and are they foldable enough for a polo boot?

Haylebop12 · 06/06/2013 12:04

Bless you funkky I can't believe how much different I feel to weeks 6-14, still have a bad day now and again but they are few and far between.

umlauf I'm hoping the pain doesn't get any worse. I still want another after this so determined not to be put off by this pregnancy.

Do 8 days after my scan I'm finally looking forward to having a boy and been busy picking up bits and pieces! I was so shocked at being told its a boy and quite scared at the prospect of something new. So I've manned up and now in rather excited!

serious hope scan goes well Smile

claphammama · 06/06/2013 13:39

perhaps you were dreaming about putting out some fires warlin :-) how exciting - only a few days until your holidays! where are you going again?

umlauf, hayley hope you can get some rest and feel back to normal soon!

congrats funkky on crossing the 24 weeks milestone - the first one!

I've just had a massive slice of cheesecake after an equally massive lunch and feeling absolutely disgusted with myself... It was so good and creamy though...

Wish I could be in the garden right now and not this office...

ananikifo · 06/06/2013 13:54

Hi, everyone!

I've been off MN for more than a week and there's a half-full thread to catch up with!

It's good to hear that your procedure was successful legally. I hope everything goes smoothly from now on.

I had my scan yesterday and it's a boy! We all thought it was a girl, and although I would never admit it irl I was hoping for one. Because I was so ready for a girl, I'm especially annoyed by people trying to tell me that boys are easier or better or that it's some kind of relief that someone will carry on the family name. I love my son to death already but he's not better than a girl because of his sex!

Good luck to MoN in your scan today!

SeriousStuff · 06/06/2013 14:21

Just back from the scan - annoyingly we have to go back next week because they couldn't check the heart properly - baby was in a very awkward position, even after a walk around and a bag of Haribos!

But everything they checked looked good and we decided while they were scanning to find out the sex and it's...A GIRL!!

We can't quite believe it - I've been convinced it's a boy since the beginning! We didn't mind either way but I got very emotional during the scan as it suddenly makes it even more real. Hasn't sunk in but glad to say I'm contributing to upping the girl count on the October bus!

I'll post a pic next week as she really wasn't being very co-operative!

SeriousStuff · 06/06/2013 14:42

And congrats on your boy ananikifo!

TheFalconsmistress · 06/06/2013 14:59

Congrats serious and ananikifo least you get to see you wee one again serious xx

roxvox · 06/06/2013 15:30

Congrats ananifiko and seriousstuff! Glad you had good scans.

I've just got back from my 23 week midwife appointment. All good with my urine/blood pressure, and we got to hear baby's heart beat and also got to hear a big kick (baby doesn't like dopplers I don't think!) He or she has been kicking around in there ever since :)
I have to go back to the surgery at 4.20 though as the midwife was concerned about my swollen ankle (it's only one ankle), so she wants a GP to check it out and make sure it isn't DVT (which runs in my family). I am not really worried, but will be good to get the reassurance of a GP all the same.

Looking forward to hearing from MoN, I hope everything is ok.

thethreeblondies · 06/06/2013 15:33

Congratulations on the latest scans!

Anyone else getting braxton hicks? Been pottering around at home today and when standing up/walking I've been getting loads, they stop when I sit down but really hope they aren't going to continue for the next 19wks uncomfortable blighters!

PseudoBadger · 06/06/2013 15:56

Another one of us having a re-scan Serious! Mine is on Saturday.

OP posts:
SeriousStuff · 06/06/2013 16:08

I must have missed that Pseudo it's a little bit annoying but as everyone says, I guess it's another chance to see the little one.

Anyone else finding the weeks going by quite quickly now?!

cazboldy · 06/06/2013 16:14

Glad everything went well legally Smile

and congratulations to all other scannees. Thinking of MoN

It was my ds1's last day at school today - I feel very old! Grin
