I have two angry stretch marks just above my pubic line, not bothered to be honest - absolutely loving being pregnant and feel 'special'. I know that sounds a bit cheesy but its a bi-product of my baba!

Smitten1981 · 05/06/2013 21:39

I'm so hungry tonight. Trying to stop myself eating everything in the house. Argh!

PseudoBadger · 05/06/2013 21:49

I go for a slice of cheese on toast when I feel like that Smitten

I am absolutely covered in stretch marks from my first pregnancy literally my stomachs is a map of stretch marks they r white now as they are old but they go all the way up to my boobs and my boobs also have them my boob stretch marks annoy me more than my belly ones as no one ever sees my belly anyway as I'm plus size I certainly don't wear a bikini lol.

Not cheesey untitled growing a baby is a very special thing to do :-)

Natalieand · 05/06/2013 21:59

I just realised that my last post sounded like 'no one sees my belly cos I'm plus size but they see my boobs' but its cos r like at the top of my boon kind of hear my armpit so of I have a strapless/strappy type top on ppl can see them lol

Hope that's cleared that one up lol

Haylebop12 · 05/06/2013 22:08

Ooh I wondered when the discussion would turn to stretch marks! I have my ones from puberty, too of my thighs but came away unscathed with dd. I didn't use any creams, lotions or potions when pg either. However I'm bigger to start with this one and my tummy is feeling stretched and fairly firm (when standing). Still, not using anything. I don't really believe they do anything. You either have the sort if skin prone to then or not... That's my theory anyway!

Love Alice btw. We too have a one syllable surname so look for more that one syllable first and second names. We have Amelia Caitlyn J.....

Haylebop12 · 05/06/2013 22:09

Hope that's readable with all the auto correct mistakes! Grrr!

OrangeBlossom2 · 05/06/2013 22:09

I have been reading this website with detailed reviews of lots of different pushchairs. Thought others might find it interesting.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 05/06/2013 22:13

Glad it went well legally Smile
I don't have any stretch marks yet...... I escaped with ds as he came out before the end bit where you get really really enormous, although to be fair I was quite whale like even at 36 weeks! I've heard they can be genetic too so if you're mum has them you will and if she doesn't you're probably a lucky one. I love the clarins oil so am slathering it on religiously.
Bought a cot today Grin and finally told work!!

Haylebop12 · 05/06/2013 22:18

And also in other news...

I've just won a swinging chair on eBay, fisher price rainforest thing for £37!

And I think I may be getting spd. I've had pain

Haylebop12 · 05/06/2013 22:19

And also in other news...

I've just won a swinging chair on eBay, fisher price rainforest thing for £37! It annoyed me having to use my foot to rock dd's bouncer constantly.

And I think I may be getting spd. I've had pain on and off on the inside of my upper thighs and today my pelvis is achy and uncomfortable.

legallyblond · 05/06/2013 22:28

Thanks all! Orangeblossom, there's no "all clear" time really. It's looking good so far and fingers crossed I go to term. I would guess the immediate danger of the op actually triggering labour is passing, but the possibility of early labour, although we hope hope hope will be prevented by the stitch, will remain throughout. But I am v hopeful, DD stayed in for 42 long weeks!! I'm resting for a week, then no long walks, no sex Sad, and generally taking it easy until they arrive.

Re stretch marks... Last time they appeared at 40 weeks and multiplied dramatically in those last two weeks.... Grr! To be honest though, they're hardly noticeable now. I am sure to get them this time!

claphammama · 05/06/2013 22:34

wow - what a day of great news! congrats everyone and hope you can relax now legally! Brew

so do you still have a boy smitten? :-)

sorry you are in pain hayley perhaps it's just an odd day and you simply need rest? You work on your feet a lot no?

pregnancy brain has arrived - just trying to have a bath and wondered why it was taking ages to fill. perhaps because I didn't close the tap... on my second try now! and now paranoid it's too hot for the baby...

no stretch marks here and, as much as I love being pregnant and being a mum, I'm hoping to avoid them this time too! my mum was massive when she was pregnant and didn't have any so fingers crossed I inherited her skin. But I feel so much bigger this time... it wouldn't surprise me to see them one day. I've read that massaging the skin helps more than creams. So I massage!

claphammama · 05/06/2013 22:38

legally just read your new post. No sex until birth????!!!!!

just think that every day inside makes them stronger and more ready for the outside world. every day and every week counts now X

Haylebop12 · 05/06/2013 22:38

clapham yes I do work on my feet but pain started during my four days off last week. I am hoping however its because I worked fri/sat/sun/Tuesday and did a carboot this morning. Lots of resting until work on Saturday.

Enjoy your bath, I wanted a long soak tonight but too much to do so quick shower :-( I'm very jealous!

OrangeBlossom2 · 05/06/2013 22:39

Legally, so glad the immediate risk of early labour from the op is passing and that you are taking a week to rest. Very sensible. And you have done everything possible to reduce the risk of early labour just happening naturally now.

Oh dear to no sex!

TheFalconsmistress · 05/06/2013 23:04

I have little silvery stretch marks from being a teen nothing since then not last pregnancy or this. I hold my weight on my tum as it is though so maybe its already big enough lol. I have heard its down to genes and no amount of creams will help not really fussed if any appear though.

Smitten1981 · 05/06/2013 23:25

Clapham - yes, still a boy. Bought a dinosaur babygro from Next on the way home though and am really chuffed with it so maybe I'm getting more used to the idea now.

chickieno1 · 06/06/2013 01:46

Hi everyone. Great to hear from you legally

Congrats to today's other scanees

Had my scan today. All good anatomically! Was a bit worried as didnt have any screening done for DS etc. Apparently we have a photogenic baby :). Didn't find out sex so I'm in the surprise group. Also have anterior placenta .

Not too worried about stretch marks here as got them with ds and my bump is huge!

chickieno1 · 06/06/2013 01:47

Good luck tomorrow MON.

OrangeBlossom2 · 06/06/2013 07:01

Good luck with the scan today MoN.

The baby's movements are getting stronger, I love laying in bed feeling them with my DH in the mornings. Don't feel much at all during the day. This baby likes afternoon napping.

Shirehobbit · 06/06/2013 07:16

Good luck today MoN - it's been a long wait for you x

pinkbuttons · 06/06/2013 07:25

Good luck today MoN hoping youll be able to finally relax tonight x

congratulations on all positive scans yesterday.

Im another one who didnt escape stretch marks this time? am using cream but not really expecting it to change anything. I actually dont mind my ones from DS, although would prefer not to get more at least theyre for a good cause.

Natalieand · 06/06/2013 07:25

Thinking of u today MoN xx

claphammama · 06/06/2013 07:57
