Thinking of you legally, soon it will be all done xx

Tarlia · 04/06/2013 08:54

Best of luck to legally, I hope that the procedure isn't too uncomfortable. Let us know how you are. Rest!

Enjoy your scans clapham and shooting. Let us know how you got on when you can and of course gender ;).

roofio87 · 04/06/2013 09:06

hope it goes well today legally x
and good luck to anyone scanning. we have our rescan on Friday so hopefully he'll cooperate and we'll get to see everything.
I've squeezed myself into my swimsuit again for aquanatal, but I seriously need to order a maternity one!!

Umlauf · 04/06/2013 09:18

Thinking of you today legallyblonde hope you have some pampering lined up for afterwards xx

Ugh I've had a rubbish morning. Can i rant? Its no secret I hate my huge boobs and what they've become with pregnancy (4 cup sizes bigger and 2 back sizes). I tried on all my swimwear to try to ascertain whether I might fit my bump into a normal swimsuit and the boob area looks ridiculous. Its like the bra part is for my nipples only and there is spillage over the sides, top, bottom. I was really big to begin with, now I've had to order a swimsuit that I could use as a bowling ball holder.

I'm so so so so so bloody sick of having big bloody boobs and I'm thrilled my baby is a boy so he won't ever suffer from this horrid genetic crap that all the women in my family have had to put up with.

Also I am NEVER doing pregnancy again. I hate it. Yes, I am lucky to be having a baby and it could be worse, but I'm counting the seconds until he is born.

On another topic, my bump has gotten smaller. Is it just me?

TheFalconsmistress · 04/06/2013 09:53

best of luck legally

roxvox · 04/06/2013 11:23

Morning all!

I have been lurking for just over a week as we were on 'holiday' (went home to Cornwall last week). I have read every post over the course of the week, but cannot remember everything that was said so will try to summarise as best I can;

  • LegallyBlonde good luck today. I hope that it all goes well. I read an article on the procedure in a parenting magazine a couple of weeks ago. It will be nice to know that baby is held in there after the op, although I can imagine that the prospect of having the procedure is very daunting. Please let us know how you get on though.
  • Welcome to all of the newbies!
  • Congratulations to everyone who has had scans this last week. Seems as though there are a lot of uncooperative babies! We almost had to go back for a second scan, but fortunately a bit of rolling onto my side seemed to make baby move into a better position.
  • Sorry to hear that so many of you are having rubbish times with DH's and DP's and big boobs (umlauf). I am feeling ok at the minute, although I still have my bouts of crying for no apparent reason. DH is very understanding, but I am sure he'll get fed up it and snap sooner or later! My boobs are starting to bug me a bit. I am getting fed up of splashing out on pregnancy safe bras (that always seem to be expensive) and, even though I am sure my boobs aren't growing anymore, they seem to stop fitting after about a week!
  • My placenta is posterior fortunately, but I still have had the occasional day with very few kicks and I know how stressed out I was on those day so I feel for you ladies who have anterior placentas and are not feeling regular kicks. My sister bought me a bracelet for my birthday where you move a little charm along some beads everytime you feel a kick. That way you can look at it at the end of the day and see that you have been feeling things, even if you've forgotten about it. I find it quite reassuring on the low activity days.

Is anyone else suffering with swollen ankles? My left ankle is really quite swollen, and whilst it is mostly just uncomfortable, it is sometimes quite painful if I stand up for too long, or if I sit down for too long and then stand up!

I cannot remember who said that they've turned themselves into a lobster over the weekend, but high five you are not alone! I spent 2 hours on the beach on Friday (would have been longer had I been able to get comfortable) and I was crispy by the end of the day! I am now glad that I couldn't get comfortable as I would have done some serious damage I think. Fortunately it has turned into a nice tan, just in time for me to come back to work. Pregnancy is a strange thing though; it would normally have taken me a good few days to get a tan like this!

Someone else as well (sorry, forgotten who again) recommended the nappy lady. I thought I would submit a form and get a recommendation from her, and she recommended Bambinex Teddy's, which sounded and looked lovely until I read some reviews on them! Does anyone have any experience with them?

I think that's everything. Sorry if I forgot anything, and also for the mammoth post! I will probably have more to say again later when I remember something else...

cherrycherry41 · 04/06/2013 11:33

Hello all! Smile
I have returned to work since my 20 week scan (after being on maternity leave since June '12) and have been so very very tired! Working on my feet all day then having an 8 month old to look after plus all the cooking/cleaning/laundry Sad Cannot wait to go on maternity leave again in August!

Not checked in on this thread all week, so forgive me!
Anything exciting happened for anyone? I expect most of the scan have been boys? Wink

My little bean has started kicking now but only really at night, DP has been able to feel them which is nice Grin Im 22+2 and have an anterior placenta too. In regards to weight gain, i weighed myself 2 weeks ago and i have gained a total of 0 pounds! Dont for one minute envy me though as ive still got an extra 2 stone baby weight from my last pregnancy! Think ive not gained as much because of our change in diet too (DD is doing BLW so we're eating very fresh with low salt etc).
Hope everyone is well!

Shootingstarsandcomets · 04/06/2013 11:45

Sorry legally I forgot to wish you luck too.
My scan was fine, baby measuring up perfectly. My placenta is at the back but I don't feel movements some days either. And we still are in the surprise club! I do think its a boy though.

PseudoBadger · 04/06/2013 12:41

Good luck Legally xx
Hope scans are going well today everyone :)

Just popping in to say good luck today legally thinking of you.

and glad scan went well shooting Smile

Now off to catch up with the thread in my lunch break .

claphammama · 04/06/2013 13:16

just back and... it's another BOY...!!! and boy number 2 for me. I'm now trying to get used to the idea of living in a house with three men! We didn't have a preference so really happy about it. Grandma couldn't hide her disappointment though and said "oh well, you will have to try again". Will post photos on Facebook later.

All good with the baby and measuring perfectly to dates. But I have a low anterior placenta Sad so have to go back for another scan at 32 weeks Sad . really hope it will move up as I really want a natural and problem free birth...

congrats on your scan shooting!

Warlin · 04/06/2013 13:30

Hi All

Sorry I haven't been about much. Just been so busy. DH has been working really long hours and is now in Scotland for a few days and I just find it so hard being at work, looking after a teething baby and walking a dog (never mind all the washing, shopping etc). After being up to 1am last night writing a work bid I can finally relax and look forward to our holiday week after next..and the sun is shining...yay!

I have to say since ds turned 1 last week he has just changed so much developmentally and is a real wee boy now! It is so cute and I can't wait to get more time with him when I'm off work. Not sure how I'lll manage though when he's fully on his feet and there is another to look after Shock

I think I have been overdoing it. At the end of last week I got so tired and my bump really started to ache. Anyone else keep getting stitches when they walk? It was agony and I really think I need a rest so hopefully I will get some on holiday. Just can't wait for dh to be less busy in work and able to help more.

Bought an isofix base for the maxi cosi the other day of a local buy and sale baby for £30 which was good and that is my first baby number 2 purchase. Keeping a look out for a second hand baby jogger too as I really don't want to fork out huge amounts on another pram. We will still keep the bugaboo and I reckon I'll use the sling a lot too.

Got my mat leave sorted with work and I made it into the work mat scheme by 1 week!! You have to be here for 2 years by the 25th week of pregnancy....! It's not great but better than nothing. So I finish on the 6th Sept, taking some annual leave and starting my mat leave on my due date. That gives me just over 3 weeks before baby although I'm convinced that I will be early again. Doesn't seem that far away!!

Good luck today legally

Right, off to catch up on the other posts. Have a good day everyone

chickieno1 · 04/06/2013 13:37

Good luck today legally

chickieno1 · 04/06/2013 13:41

Congrats on the scans shooting and clapham

Another boy and a surprise! And healthy babies!

Fingers crossed your placenta moves, at least you ll get to see baby again.

Flyer747 · 04/06/2013 13:44

Congratulations Shooting and Claphammama, wow another boy....maybe all these anterior placentas are boys! Fx your placenta moves up, i've heard they do.

Day 2 still no movements......please little baby get moving again.

PseudoBadger · 04/06/2013 14:04

TheFalconsmistress · 04/06/2013 15:33

My anterior is a girl too psuedo :)

I am getting movements loads now 23+2 but i have been having period type cramps not nice. All seems well though some days i feel little till the evening though but mostly its so much more than even a week ago!

cazboldy · 04/06/2013 16:15

Haven't been on here for ages, what with half term etc, and really should be trying to revise for an exam i have next week! EEK!

But although i haven't read the whole thread, Just wanted to wish legally luck for today, and congratulate all those who have had their scans so far Smile

All well here, and feeling lots of movement now Smile

Wickedgirl · 04/06/2013 16:16

I get lots of kicks/movements late evening and when I'm trying to sleep. Do you think that it means this baby will be nocturnal? Lol

Good luck legally xx

Slippysnow · 04/06/2013 16:22

I read that baby wakes up at night because your movements during the day rock baby to sleep, so when you sleep you are still and baby comes out to play!! How lovely for them ;)
