Just back from the meeting and boobs managed to stay inside my vest. Just about. Seriously need to review my wardrobe though... and avoid dressing in haste like this morning, forgetting I'm pregnant

Seriously spooky flyer - like you, I also have a cleaning lady who is rubbish but I trust her and she is so lovely that I find myself unable to change her... so I just get annoyed and end up cleaning after her every Friday.

In positive news, my friend who's been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half and couldn't, just told me she is 12 weeks! So happy for her.

claphammama · 03/06/2013 17:20

smitten I will be 28 and 30 weeks when I'm on holidays. I'm not even trying to look for insurance as everyone tells me there is no insurance that covers you after 28 weeks... so I will be going and trying not to slip in the pool / hoping for the best...!

PseudoBadger · 03/06/2013 17:42

I've had a thread on this, but my holiday at 30 weeks is to a island off the English coast which is only accessible for 4 hours a day. There's helicopter cover if needed...

I've sat in the garden all day and I am burnt, I forgot your skin is more sensitive whilst pregnant....I look like a lobster

OrangeBlossom2 · 03/06/2013 19:00

Congrats on the scan blondies. We are not gong to find out but I wouldn't be able to resist the envelope if I had it.

Oh no on the sunburn! Hope it isn't too sore.

I found some insurance companies that do 30weeks Clapham, I will see if I can find where I saved them. We will be going to France at 30 weeks.

textbook · 03/06/2013 19:10

Big congrats on the good scan blondies - you have an iron will not to have opened that envelope already Grin

Movement-wise, I have a posterior placenta, but still have some days with much less frequent and strong movement. I agree that it must be when the baby is kicking inwards, and am trying not to worry. Baby is only about the size of a banana, so plenty of room to hide in there!!

smitten I called M&S insurance an they said they would cover at 28 weeks +, and Natwest who I'm covered with through my bank account didn't even need to note my pregnancy to cover me at 26 weeks. You will definitely be able to find something.

OrangeBlossom2 · 03/06/2013 19:12

Smitten and Clapham, insure and go cover pregnancy up to 32 weeks, then after that they don't cover care for a normal child birth but cover a range of complications needing medical care such as preeclampsia or emergency cs all the way up to 40 weeks.

Smitten1981 · 03/06/2013 20:00

Brilliant, thanks so much Orange!

roofio87 · 03/06/2013 20:14

yes textbook I'm the same, posterior placenta but still have quieter less strong movement days. definitely when he's changed position. today it feels more like just movements, not kicking so much. but definitely still in there!!

Sephy · 03/06/2013 20:31

Hi all, sorry I've been away (or rather, lurking) for a while. Had a horrid dream about my 20 week scan and then just got paranoid about what was going to happen. But as of this afternoon I now know it was fine, so I'm happy to post again!

Didn't find out the sex, but saw lots of wriggling, and generally very reassured. Everything's apparently normal. Really pleased that at my hospital they routinely do a 33 week scan, so I've got that to look forward to too.

Also in the anterior gang so I wonder if that means I follow the other trend and have a boy?

OrangeBlossom2 · 03/06/2013 20:48

Glad all is well sephy.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 03/06/2013 20:53

I got a nice tankini from jojo maman too. Also forgot who was asking but when we went on hols I checked with our insurance and i was covered up to 32 weeks with insure and go. Also don't forget your e111 card if you're in Europe.
I've had factor 30 on all day in the garden it's been fantastic and apparently hotter tomorrow- woo hoo! Also in other exciting news dh's new car arrived today. It's very shiny and rather large but should accommodate the two dc's and dog nicely also has that lovely new car smell. Smile

Natalieand · 03/06/2013 21:12

Sorry to be a pain but has anyone got the link to the gender spread sheet

Natalieand · 03/06/2013 21:12

shooting=

chickieno1 · 03/06/2013 23:04

congrats on good scan news threeblondes and sephy

good luck to those scanning tomorrow clapham and shooting I think

scan day for me wednesday!

tuckingfits · 03/06/2013 23:42

Congratulations for your positive scans!

I've got an anterior placenta too (although there's a girl inside it!) & I haven't felt outward movements yet but she seems to quite enjoy bouncing on my bladder! Charming!

tuckingfits · 03/06/2013 23:45

oh & I'm rescanning on Wednesday as she wouldn't move to allow them to see her heart. Fingers crossed she cooperates this time as it's a long drive & I have plenty more appointments at the hospital coming up,without needing to drive all the way there AGAIN because she won't play ball!!

chickieno1 · 04/06/2013 04:38

I think I might go for elective CS orange and MrsAF

We won't have any family around to look after ds if I go into labour in the middle of the night so probably easier to plan with definite date for ELCS.

My dh would be happier with that too.

JellyCurls · 04/06/2013 05:12

Been offline for a few days and will catch up properly later but just popping on to say good luck with procedure today legally. Hope you get a good rest afterwards and that your babies decide they like it inside and its too early to join this crazy world. Keeping everything crossed for you x

OrangeBlossom2 · 04/06/2013 06:50

It sounds like might be the sensible option for you then chick.

I second that, Jelly. Thinking of you today legally. Take it very easy over the next few days.

Taking my class on a sports trip today, looks like it is going to be a lovely day.

Natalieand · 04/06/2013 07:12

Best of luck today legally xxx

Shirehobbit · 04/06/2013 07:43

Very best wishes, legally x

Flyer747 · 04/06/2013 08:00

All the best today legally x

Good luck to scanning ladies claphammama and shooting, look forward to hearing your news later :-)

Orange remember to slather on loads of SPF today if outside that's where I failed yesterday and I look like a Brit abroad!

Pannacotta2013 · 04/06/2013 08:16

Hello all,

I haven't been around for ages - we've been moving house and desperately trying to get the place decorated before the baby comes. We've still got loads to do. So I haven't had a chance to catch up with everyones news, but just to comment on some topics that caught my eye as I whizzed past...

We're having a girl! I'm so chuffed, I was sure it was a boy but I think I must have secretly wanted a girl. I've got an anterior placenta so not much movement either (boo!).

I've put on about one stone four pounds, but a lot of that was early on and I started panicking about putting so much weight on so I'm using MyFitnessPal app to track my eating, and that is definitely helping (stops me eating a pack of chocolate hobnobs a day kind of thing).

I hope you are all well and I'm hoping to keep more up to date now. Someone mentioned a spreadsheet? Can you direct me to a link? Thanks x x

Shootingstarsandcomets · 04/06/2013 08:49

Its an Audi Q5 natalieand, DH says I have to practise driving round empty car parks with him before I am allowed to drive it Angry!
Off to scan now, hopefully report with good news later. Good luck to my scan buddy clapham!
