I had a neat little bump this morning, could've been mistaken for a little bit of bloat, but after a 13 hour shift my belly is HUGE! I look about 5/6 months! Had another scan this morning for reassurance after last week's bleed, all good. I'm pretty certain I felt baby move on the way home from work too, I'd forgotten what it felt like until I felt it, IYKWIM!

FluffyDucky · 01/06/2013 22:52

Anyone suffering with heartburn yet? Over this week I am getting it about twice a day, worse in the evening & need a rennie. Not awful, but uncomfy.

Currently lying on the sofa but with 2 pillows under my shoulders to prop me up!

PistachioTruffle · 01/06/2013 23:08

Welcome Zoo!

Glad to hear your scan went well feather.

Fluffy, no heartburn here yet, nor any sign of a bump that isn't bloat. Not much of anything really, apart from some tiredness. I'm beggining to wonder if there's actually still a baby in there. Oh well, roll on Tuesday and we shall find out!
A friends' wife has just had a baby, a gorgeous cute and squidgy baby boy Grin The photos made me feel really gooey and excited! (Can you get broody whilst already pregnant?)

Alyssa1978 · 02/06/2013 08:21

pistachio
I think my broodiness is always worse when I'm pregnant Smile

I get bad heartburn fluffy but its normally after a fizzy drink.

Just got the date for my next scan in July (I will not find out the sex) Hmm

LadyMedea · 02/06/2013 08:29

fluffy I get heartburn every evening, prone to it anyway so expecting it. I just keep chewing the calcium carbonate for now. Reckon all that extra calcium will do bean good! I know they prescribe gaviscon if it gets bad.

mumoftwoboysS · 02/06/2013 09:33

welcome zoo! my EDD is around the same time! (tho waiting for scan to get more accurate and hopefully earlier date!)

feather glad all is ok. Yeah I think my bump might be mostly bloat- hardly anything there this morning but by evening its huge too!

I always get bad hearburn during pregnancy but it tends to kick in as baby gets bigger (and starts squashing my stomach) I relied on prescription liquid Gaviscon- couldn't have done without it!

Atm all I'm getting is restless leg which I HATE. Get it when I go to bed and find it really hard to sleep. Need to invest in some body shop pepermint foot cream or something I think...Last pregnancy I was so desperate I wrapped my feet in cold wet towels in the middle of the night- a damp bed but the relief was worth it!!

I'm definitely broody whenever I see a baby....really hoping it'll go after this baby as we're not having any more!!

Gannetgob · 02/06/2013 18:39

Its been quiet on here this weekend!

Glad everything is ok with you feather.

I've had no heartburn as of yet. But sickness seems to have set in. Surely this should be ending at 12 weeks - not starting!!

I had some lovely news this weekend. I was worried about telling my friend about being pregnant because she has PCOS and has been ttc for a while. She took my news well and she seemed genuinely pleased and excited for me. She told me yesterday that she has just found out she's pregnant too! She hasn't had a period for ages, but thinks she's around 8 weeks. I'm so excited that we will be going through it together. Grin

Has anyone else got their scan this week? Mine is on Friday, I'm looking forward to seeing baby again!

everythinghippie29 · 02/06/2013 19:10

I'm 6th of December. First baby, very excited I'd not a little pukey still! Confused

abcdemma · 02/06/2013 20:48

1st scan on Tuesday, soooo excited and anxious since most of my early symptoms have disappeared so like Pistachio I'm wondering if Archibald really is still in there... However it does feel like newborn babies are everywhere at the moment!!
Sadly my tummy is just showing evidence of a food baby and not an actual baby as yet lol

PistachioTruffle · 02/06/2013 21:13

Scan on Tuesday here too abcdemma! Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone's scans this week.

AbiElizabeth · 03/06/2013 11:52

just got my scan date and it's on Thursday! eek! I hope everything is okay with my little peanut. good luck to others too :)

Gooseysgirl · 03/06/2013 11:59

Good luck to all having scans this week!

b0nker5Mum · 03/06/2013 12:44

Eeeek... Just broke the news to my manager so hopefully will all be out in the open soon... Grin

I'm still shaking... He was very understanding though and said he'd look into a fair maternity policy etc .. (I'm sure it'll be stat but since there are no policies in place they need to set something up in case they go mad an employ any other females!!!)

Good luck with the scans this week....

FluffyDucky · 03/06/2013 21:57

Well we have been a quiet bunch this weekend eh!

I'm loving my new boobies (as is my husband) but crikey I think I'm going to need a new bra again soon, almost spilling out of them again!
Also beginning to get annoyed with my daily 5am pee, guess it's starting as it means to go on lol!!

musiceverywhere · 03/06/2013 22:15

Scan and dr appointment tomorrow. Weirdly looking forward to it although I'm sure it'll all get too much and I'll cry at some point! Just hope all well with baby and they can tell me what the plan is re: surgery as feel like so much is up in air at the moment. Glad everyone getting on ok, I am also fed up of the early morning pee fluffyduck! Thinking of others 'scanning' tomorrow. Positive vibes for all of us. x

mumoftwoboysS · 03/06/2013 22:23

early morning pee here too! v annoying!

Good luck for all the scan-ers this week! (a tad envious...still 2 weeks to go till mine Envy

froubylou · 04/06/2013 06:57

Morning all.

Well stopping smoking still going horribly wrong. Stopped last weds. By friday had chronic hayfever. Saturday was miserable. Couldnt breathe, couldnt stop sneezing, nose and lips falling off, banging headavhe from hayfever. Used all my blue inhaler nearly as taking every hour. Asthma really bad. Coughing and peeing myself regularly.

Phoned midwife yesterday. Nowt she could give. Spoke to practise nurse re getting a gp appointment. Shes got a steroid nose spray and a new blue inhaler for. On top of all that I have 4 huge coldsores on my lips, 2 up my nose and empitgo between my upper lip on my nose.

I look everso sexy lol. And cant use anything on them. So stop smoking adviser is in for a rough old appointment with my later pmsl.

The worst thing is the actual stopping smoking wasnt bothering me at all. Just the side effects were worrying me. If im struggling to breathe freely im worried the baby isnt getting enough oxygen either.

Would be much easier to quit in the winter.

On a more positive note Im sure I felt the bean rolling around in the bath the last 2 nights. Im 11 weeks today. Anyone else felt wriggles that early or is it just me being daft?

PistachioTruffle · 04/06/2013 07:44

Ahh Frouby, you poor soul! Hay fever isn't fun at the best of times, never mind when pregnant and with asthma too. You have my sympathy, and an un-mumsnet-y hug Flowers

I've been awake since 2 this morning. Pre-scan anxiety, I think. Bleugh.

Featherbag · 04/06/2013 08:02

Frouby why can't you use anything on your coldsores? I've just gotten rid of one - felt the tingling while at work on the bank holiday and even though I work in a hospital had to get DH to go and buy some aciclovir cream and bring it to me as my department don't stock it and pharmacy wouldn't sell me any!

Also have you spoken to your GP about getting some chlorphenamine tablets for the hayfever? They aren't as good as cetirizine, but better than nothing!

QueenofWhispers · 04/06/2013 08:19

Hello Ladies!

Welcome to the new additions :)

So some positive news, I've always known that I was born prematurely but didn't realize the reason whyand it was because my mother and I also shared a single umbilical arteryand I'm okay. So my mother told me not to worry--I was born with a heart defect but it corrected itself within 6 months of my birth. At the time she was a young doctor (only worked for over a year) so she thought cases like this were rarer than she thought, but as she practiced more (her first specialty is obgyn) she realised that actually she met cases like this all the time.

yogafan · 04/06/2013 09:30

Oh that's really reassuring queen! So pleased. Good luck scanners!! Let us know how they go xx

mumoftwoboysS · 04/06/2013 09:39

I''m really worried. I've just wiped some pink discharge...as in there's blood in it. I phoned the mw and she just said to take it easy and wait. If it gets worse to phone the doc. Really not reassuring.

I'm so upset thinking the worst. Never had any blood with either previous pregnancies. I just wish I could have a scan so I know bean is ok. She said take it easy- so what, do nothing? I don't really know what that means- I've got lots to do today.....

fuck. I don't know what to do.

Jucymyname · 04/06/2013 09:42

Hello everybody! Can I join you?

I'm due on 17 December, so I'm 12 weeks today. I have scan tomorrow, can't wait and I'm a bit anxious (sp?).
I had a bit of cramping and strange "somersaults" in my stomach as if things were moving and pulling inside. Is it normal? Has anybody had it? Sorry I haven't read all (2) threads...

Anyway, I hope you are all well and enjoy the sunshine. (I'm sitting in the garden Smile)

yogafan · 04/06/2013 11:01

So sorry for the stress motheroftwo - I totally get that you want a scan for reassurance. Really think they should give you one... Can you call EPU direct, or try the midwife again saying you're really worried? I bled a little when preg with DD, a couple of times, once pink discharge - all totally fine. Big hug x

Welcome jucy - I think mild cramping and a weird stretching/growing feeling are normal, enjoy the sunshine today and scan tomorrow!
