Becks5109 - I'm due the same day!! I thought I was due on 15/1/07 (the day of my LMP+40 weeks) but when I went for my booking in appointment today they used that wheel thing and it came up with the 17th :)

The appointment went well - they confirmed I'm pg (I felt so sick waiting for the test to show +ve even though I'd done a test myself at home with the same sample Wink), gave me a copy of Emma's Diary and a form for free prescriptions, and have referred me to the midwife team.

I'm getting an early scan because of being on Clomid, but I'm not sure when that will be - around 8 weeks I guess.

Exciting stuff!!!!!!

Loubie xx

hi all

Ladies I know it doesnt help but please try not to work yourselves up about missed mc or normal mc etc. I have had 3 and yes I do worry about it but if it has taught me anything it is that we cant change what may happen. Even if you do get an early scan it is no guarantee of things being ok. My last mc before DD was a missed mc not found until I was 15wks but baby had died at 9wks. So with DD I was given a scan at 8wks. It made me feel better for all of 5mins. I dont mean to sound pessimistic or anything but things could have still gone wrong. This time around I have decided not to ask for a scan unless it is recommended.

Nemo1977 · 16/05/2006 09:58

sorry meant to add that the worries are completely natural whether you have miscarried or not. It is sad to say that risk of mc is likely for someone but worry not if it was to be anyone law of averages would be meWink

elliepippamummy · 16/05/2006 12:15

Hi,

Posted on here before but got to got to Doctors at 3 as had some light brown spotting and ache in my groin today, can't help thinking the worse as had m/c in feb. My DH is off today and trying to be positive saying it could be implantation bleeding, I am 5+2 i think but I ovulate late so it may be but you never know. Receptionist at DR's said they'd probably have to do blood tests today and again in 48hrs to see if hormone levels rise.

Updat you all later xx

becks5109 · 16/05/2006 12:32

good luck elliepippamummy hope it goes okay - i had brown bleeding with my first pregnancy and all was fine. I think brown is supposed to be better than red as it means old blood so more likely an implantation bleed. Let us know how you get on

spinamum · 16/05/2006 12:59

hi. I've just popped over from Dec.(EDD 25th Dec), but i'm expecting beanie will make an appearance in Jan, so i'm sort of a Jan gal really.

elliepippamummy · 16/05/2006 14:02

Thanks Becks semed to be a one off as keep checking and no more bleeding also the groin pain disappears when I walk so I'm hoping thats something positive Still feel pregnant ie sore boobs tired etc hoping it was just one of thos things. Anyway no point worrying until I go to Dr's counting down the hour until the appt!!

Hi

Just got bac from Dr's got an early scan at EPAC next weds at 12 he didn't really say anything either way could be implantation or could be ectopic. Only had one bit of spotting and it was a minimal amount but still got this ache on my right hand side, no shoulder pain, fever etc. Have stopped looking at ectopic websites as some some mild aches are positive signs of ectopic just have to hang on until next Weds. Dr did say if ache became sharp or painful go straight back to Drs or A&E if closed. Was hoping they would do blood tests to measure HCG levels, does anyone know of anyone who had consistent ache in groin area on one side and it was okay?

LadyTophamHatt · 16/05/2006 17:32

Has anyone heard from Hattie?
wasn't she having her scan on monday?

MerlinsBeard · 16/05/2006 19:44

still not feeling pg, had a bit of nausea and seem to be STARVING which o rememeber from ds2 but still had weight to lose from him, looks like that will not go!

reeeeeeeally need to book in with mw (they contact u here after u have been to dr) and have a scan so i know dates! still not told anyone in rl either.

Hattie2 · 17/05/2006 00:47

Hi all. Blimey, I've been off mn for a couple of days and it's taken me half an hour to catch up!

Went for first blood test on monday, consultant was quite positive and said there were many things it could be apart from ectopic. Pain is coming and going at the moment rather than consistent - but I don't know if that's good or not? Was supposed to be booked in for 2nd blood test tomorrow (or later this morning as it is now) and an early scan on Monday but got home from work tonight to message on answerphone from EPU saying I'm booked in for a scan tomorrow - what's that all about then???

Hope everyone's feeling well today - roll on 12 weeks when we've all had scans and can start to feel a bit more relaxed :)

Loubie37 · 17/05/2006 07:40

Morning all, I had a bit of a scare yesterday - had really bad period type pains for about 3 hours and some brown spotting on and off most of the afternoon and evening. Was so scared I was having a m/c. I rang the GPs and they said at 5 weeks there's not much they can do, but to take some paracetamol, put my feet up and go in this morning if I felt no better. Thankfully everything seems back to normal today!!

I've got the day off today so I'm going to take it easy and catch up with all the DVDs that I've bought and not watched yet. Bliss!

Hope everyone else is well :)

Loubie xx

elliepippamummy · 17/05/2006 07:55

Hi

Hattie just want to wish you good luck for today know exactly how you are feeling as I've got the same thing although my EPAC unit cn't scan until next weds, look forward to hearing from you later.

Loubie make sure you take it easy as you can see from previous postings I had aching and brown spotting yesterday and I was 5+3 so maybe it is a good sign we have the same symptons. haven't had any further spotting but stil got the aching on and off but my doctor did say that could be implantation or where I already have DD body starting to adjust itself.

Anyway hope you feel better later and i you are really worried go back to GP and ask to be referred to EPAC.

indignatio · 17/05/2006 08:07

Good luck Hattie

becks5109 · 17/05/2006 10:10

elliepippamummy i have a pain on one side too but i think i had it last time as well. I've got endometriosis so always have some pain on that side so I just put it down to that. The paranoia is so awful isn't it. I constantly keep worrying that I don't feel pregnant enough and seem to have lost my appetite which is a first!

Nemo1977 · 17/05/2006 10:23

hi all

about the spotting I had quite heavy bleeding with ds and he is now 2.7yrs and bouncing around. I have also had brown spotting for about 3 days this time which I am assuming is implantation as it was when I was around 10 days late and still getting a negative test. I was always told by the hospital not to worry too much about brown blood as it was old blood meaning the body was cleaning out. Its more the bright red heavy bleeding they are a lot more worried over and thats how both my early mcs were.

elliepippamummy · 17/05/2006 10:32

Thanks Becks & Nemo put my mind at rest, have to say me &DD have been into town this morning and haven't felt ache\pain all the time I was walking aound it fact feels a litle like really mild period pains now whih is a sign of implantation!! Anyway got to go and wrap up a toy lawnmower whilst my DD having a nap (she'll think its hers otherwise!) and then off to a one year old birthday party what fun!!!
Catch up soon xx

Hattie2 · 17/05/2006 12:21

Hello - very pleased to report that scan went well and everything is OK :o They could see the "gestation sac" (as she called it, why she couldn't say 'baby' I don't know) with a tiny heartbeat so much relief all round.

Fingers crossed for the same result at your scan next week elliepippa.

Choccamocha · 17/05/2006 12:22

Morning everyone - Couldn't get on the pc yesterday and it was great to have to read through all the posts today.
Hope everyone who's had any problems is better today and good luck to those with early scans.
Booked myself an appt with the GP for the 24th when I'll be 7+6.
It feels to be going quite quickly at the moment. Does anyone else feel like this?
