Everthing all ok here except I'm sure my imagination is playing tricks on me...I only found out the other day and already I feel uncomfortable in anything remotely tight on my bellyShockShock

Please god...don't say it's twins!!!

I have told a couple of rl friends but no family as yet..mainly because of the age of my other two and the fact this will be my 4th pg in 3yrsBlush. So we are waiting to check everything is ok first and will let other people know then.

Hattie2 · 09/05/2006 21:36

Haven't told anyone yet, but won't be able to keep it from bestfriend for long - I think she'll notice I'm not drinking on our nights out!

Dd (3) has been asking me for months "when's my brother coming?" so she will no doubt be delighted when we tell her (as long as it's a boy of course!).

skerriesmum · 09/05/2006 22:54

I'm going to tell my three best friends and have told immediate family... the rest can wait a couple of months! It still doesn't feel real somehow. My first scan is already booked though, 27th June!

MerlinsBeard · 10/05/2006 10:24

haven't told anyone in RL yet. too scared of their reaction! Waiting until either first scan (so we can confirm dates) or until belly gets too big to disguise.

i still have the thought that we will get to scan to be told theres no baby and to stop wasting their time!!

laughalot · 10/05/2006 14:52

Hi everyone we are loads of people joining now Smile its great. Im really worried though I was really ill with ds and I feel fine no sickness no sore boobies am I panacking for nothing ?

saltcod · 10/05/2006 18:07

Hiya, good to see quite a crowd on here now :)

We've told a couple of people - my best friend at work (great to confide in on "off" days) plus one other close friend. They both knew we had been ttc for 18 months. Not going to tell any family till at least 13 weeks though. Last time, I didn't tell work colleagues (apart from my manager) till I was 6.5 months Shock - they must have all assumed I was just getting fat! Doubt if I'll be able to keep this one under wraps for quite as long...... aren't subsequent babies supposed to show sooner?

Nemo, Amyjo..... thanks for trying to work out my due date Grin ... Still unsure if it should be the 3rd or the 5th of Jan - my cycle length used to be 26/27 days, but went up to 28 days on clomid. But not all of the sites ask for cycle length.....and the doctor didn't either! I'm sure the midwife will give me a proper EDD anyway - seeing her in 2 weeks. When is everyone else booked in to see their Midwife? Ooh... even talking about it makes it start to sound real!

magnolia1 · 10/05/2006 18:35

Girls , I have to leave you Sad

Scan went ok so don't panic but I am due 27th Dec!!!!! Shock

I thought 6 weeks but they said 7 weeks.

I have a bleed just behind the placenta and thats causing the spotting but they said its common and usually because there is some blood from the implantation that gets left behind.

Another scan at 12 weeks Smile

LadyTophamHatt · 10/05/2006 19:16

I'm gald it went well magnolia..... I bet you still have a january baby!!

OP posts:
magnolia1 · 10/05/2006 19:24

Nah!!! 1st was 38 weeks, 2nd and 3rd were 35 weeks and 4th was 33 weeks Shock

My placenta shuts down early as far as they can tell but hopefully this one wont be even earlier!!!

Think I will post on both Grin

laughalot · 10/05/2006 19:48

Iv got my booking in appointment at he docs on friday she then books me in with the midwife Smile

Dragonhart · 10/05/2006 20:29

Hi and congrats to all. NewishG to this website so not sure on some of the abreviations! Think I am due on the 10th. Have a doc appt on fri. This is my second baby, other (is it dd1?) is 9months so abit worried about the closeness.
Sure that my trousers are getting tight already. Last time I was REALLY sick for the first 3 months and lost 1 stone (which I called my bonus stone when I started to put the weight back on!) Hope I do not get sick this time!

Nemo1977 · 10/05/2006 21:28

lol dragonhart you are worried about closeness...im petrified as mine will all be very close...ds will be 3.2, dd will just turn 1 when baby is dueShock

Well decided to tell my mum and pil today just because of my risk of mc etc so incase we need help with the tinkers. So my mum was ok..bit shocked but said wow etc. MIL not so ok...dh bottled out of telling her and her responses was 'OH' like a lead balloon dropping. So of course I passed her over to dh and burst into tearsSad. Apparently she perked up after speaking to dh but I felt awful..hey ho.

Nemo1977 · 10/05/2006 21:29

oh meant to add am booked into the dr on thurs but stupid receptionist told me to bring a sample so they could check!!! I swear people must think I am dim or something...feel like shouting..WE WANTED A SMALL GAP!!!!

LadyTophamHatt · 11/05/2006 07:08

Dragonhart its my second and im due 10 th jan and my docs appointment is tomorrow. I was ill with my first but so far feel fine.

Hattie2 · 11/05/2006 13:34

Tomorrow must be the day for doc's appointments - I've got mine as well. Last time the doc didn't want to re-test but was wondering if it is normal for them to ask for a sample? (have moved house so different docs now). Can't phone and ask as am in the office today and don't want anyone overhearing.

skerriesmum · 11/05/2006 13:36

Lotta, I have no symptoms either except AF not coming. Early days yet though.
I had urine and blood tests yesterday and have picked my consultant. My first real antenatal is June 15, and first scan June 27. I get three scans as I'm 35, and so an "older" mum!

Choccamocha · 11/05/2006 14:06

Nemo - We wanted a small gap too. Ds 3 will be just over 14 months hopefully when this one arrives. I've told my Mam and her partner but that is all, mainly because I had handed all my baby clothes over to her to send onto my cousin before we decided to try again. Thankfully she still has them.

She was absolutely stunned when I told her last night. Rang me early this morning though to tell me how pleased she was.

My Dad and most other family and friends will not be quite so pleased. They won't be able to understand why we want another when we already have five. But it's what we want and that's all that matters. I will come back and read that sentence when they've all had their say and I'm feeling a bit down about it lol

laughalot · 11/05/2006 14:27

Girlies should we start a stats thread with ages, due dates, other children ect ? Dont know how its done but they have them on the other threads.

magnolia1 · 11/05/2006 14:32

Well I went back to docs today coz I feel like shit Sad

I am sooooooo tired much more than the other times and so have blood tests to see if I am anemic.
Had to have awful iron injections with the twins so don't want that again!

I don't feel actually sick but have a funny taste in my mouth permently and the thought of meat or alhohol makes me feel really queezy. Dh thinks it's punishment for the alchol binging when I'm not pregnant Grin

7+1 and already my clothes don't fit!!! But it's not a proper tummy just looks fat and wobbly Sad
Will feel better when it actually looks like I'm pregnant and not over eating Grin

magnolia1 · 11/05/2006 14:33

Of course I meant alcohol Blush

LadyTophamHatt · 11/05/2006 14:37
